Queen Of The Alpha -
Chapter 54
Layan was a tolerant wolf, much more so than other alphas. He had learned that from his position as leader of the Council. Only there were few things he could tolerate. One of them was that his own was not to be touched. Least of all the way this alpha was doing with his she-wolf.
Everything went black in front of him and his instincts awoke so violently that his wild side, which only came out at night lately to enjoy what his bond had to give him, exploded, taking complete control of his body.
And it was beyond what could be called annoying.
Priscilla had never felt so much pain in her entire life, not even when she had begun to awaken her powers or was frozen. This time it was different, lethal, paralysing. Her chest tightened and rose and fell with an icy sensation that was melting but at the same time so cold that it left her feeling limp and breathless.
She was barely aware that she was being kissed and that the arms of another wolf than her own were what kept her erect because her knees were so weak they could barely support her. But that support soon vanished when in front of her, almost as if it were fleeting the image of brown fur flashed before her eyes drops of b***d that felt very warm splashed across her face.
Her body crumpled to the ground and she could barely gasp.
-Layan… no – he tried to say but it was too late. Layan dragged Litus by the neck with his large size and they both flew out the window shattering the glass.
The she-wolf almost collapsed to the ground. She had to clutch her chest. There was something moving inside her that burned, that chilled, she couldn’t tell. She pressed her lips together to keep from screaming from the pain. It was too intense. Especially since there were new sensations that were slowly beginning to blossom, only together and overwhelmingly so.
He could hear the grunts of both Layan and Litus below. They had both fallen from the first floor and were fighting. Because of her. She had to do something soon. She couldn’t be the cause of a problem between the packs.
So she tried to get up but her body was barely responding. Her legs were shaking and so were her arms. Filling her lungs with air, she forced her body to transform, not knowing that the process would be torturous. The sensations of both pain and the emotions that wanted to manifest themselves tripled and he swore that tears almost came to his eyes.
She couldn’t help but let out a pitiful m**n, but she couldn’t let herself be sold so easily. He had to do something, and soon, to stop the two alphas. Though he knew it would be difficult. They were two alphas fighting after all.
Staggering from side to side he made it to the window and gathered all his strength to get on two legs so he could jump out. He just hoped he wouldn’t lose consciousness before he could fix this misunderstanding. He was getting tired of his world constantly going black.
Litus had never seen Layan so annoyed and so… wild. The open skin on the side of his neck was bleeding from the fangs that had been embedded there with force. He had been ready to kill him if he hadn’t used his power to get free.
He backed up two steps quickly, dodging one of the bites the brown furred alpha took at him. He tried to talk to him but Layan didn’t respond. He was in a full blown rage straight at him.
-Layan called out to him again but to no avail.
The body of the big wolf that was even bigger than his rushed over his and they both ended up rolling around biting and snarling. There was no one around. Layan’s pheromones were so strong that he wouldn’t let anyone get close no matter how much they wanted to. Even Litus felt suffocated.
Managing to free himself from Layan he backed away again panting. He was alpha and he was strong. He could easily defend himself even though he was sure that against Layan it would be a tough fight with more to lose than to win. He could even freeze him. But he was the lead wolf of the Council and he was also aware that he had kissed the Council’s mate. He just never expected to be caught so easily.
It was as if Layan had eyes on the she-wolf even if he wasn’t by her side.
He watched the other alpha prepare to attack again. Both were snarling and their loins bristled, though Layan seemed more aggressive. But there was one thing Litus was convinced of. He had no intention of dying from Layan’s fangs.
He would definitely fight. And that was when Layan charged at him.
A dark shadow flashed before the eyes of the two wolves and by the time Litus reacted there was the body of a black furred wolf over Layan’s body. Though this one was smaller and didn’t seem to be stable at all trying to balance on the alpha’s back.
Layan, unaware of who it was and in a haze of rage, shook himself hard trying to shake off the thing on top of him that was preventing him from reaching his goal. He did it so hard that the body on top of him fell to the ground with a dry sound that was followed by a painful g***n. It was then that Layan was petrified.
Litus was going to run to protect Priscilla. He had recognised the scent and given Layan’s state thought he was going to attack her when the brown wolf stood over her protectively and possessively. His eyes glared at her and he growled loudly, lowering his head until he was almost level with her. He opened his mouth and bit the back of her neck. It didn’t hurt her but it did make her m**n again and stay glued to the ground without moving.
In this way the alpha was showing both Litus and herself who was in charge and whose she-wolf she was, his liaison, his future mate and queen of his pack.
-Get out of my sight,” he growled at Litus, still not letting go of the fur on the back of her neck.
The ice alpha understood and backed away. He had made a mistake and he never thought Layan would react that way. He seemed like a wolf disinterested in most things that had to do with him. But with this she had realized that it was best not to underestimate him. Layan was quite possessive of his things.
Turning around he walked away from the pair though worried about Priscilla. He knew she would be in trouble too, not just for the k**s. Her emotions should be stirring and that could drive her crazy. He hoped she was as strong as she claimed.
Layan for his part now focused again on the she-wolf between his paws. She was now conscious and in full control. That didn’t take away from the fact that he was so annoyed that his jaws clamped down so hard on the back of her neck that the metallic taste of her b***d hit the roof of his mouth.

Growling at her in warning he released her seeing the open skin of his fangs and how she trembled beneath him. He attributed it to her pheromones. They were so dispersed and potent they must be affecting him. He ran his tongue along the skin of her neck over the soft fur with force. If she was consciously causing him pain.
He was very annoyed and very much so with her. Hadn’t she told him she loved him. That he was her wolf. Then why the hell was she making out with another wolf. Damn it. He couldn’t control himself. Priscilla lowered he g*****d again and shuddered.
Layan broke away deadly serious. He wanted an explanation but he was in no condition now. He feared he might hurt her. There was something inside him that stirred making him even more anxious. But he didn’t hurt she-wolves and he didn’t want to hurt Priscilla either, despite her condition. He’d already bitten her and he hoped she was aware of that. He wasn’t to be trifled with.
And he started to walk away before his thoughts drove him mad.
He walked several paces when he felt a muffled sound and stopped. He looked over his shoulder and found that the wolf was trying to get up but fell back onto her stomach. As if her paws had no strength.
He turned around and came closer. He hoped this wasn’t another trick of hers because he was in no mood. He stopped in front standing up straight on all four paws and looked down at her.
To his surprise the she-wolf raised her head and there was an unusual gleam in her eyes and her tail began to wag. Layan growled at her in warning if she was toying with him and turned again to walk away. He would definitely have to teach that pup a lot.
Teeth closed around one of her paws and Layan paused looking down. He bared his fangs at her.
-Don’t try my patience, pup. You’ve teased me enough and made a fool of me by making out with another alpha,” he snapped gravely.
Priscilla released her paw and raised her head with her ears perked up. She stuck out her tongue, gasped, and this time she bit Layan’s tail, pulling it back.
As if he was playing a game.
Layan couldn’t believe it.
-Priscilla,” he scolded her annoyed that she was ignoring the whole situation but… she had no response.
Instead she tugged her tail again to release it and started moaning and sobbing all at once. Then she stopped and flirtatiously rubbed her head against Layan’s paw and it wasn’t even seconds before she started growling at him.
And that’s when Layan’s anger turned to concern.
Why was Priscilla acting like this?
Why couldn’t she get up?
Why did she feel a turbulence in her link?
What had really happened?
