'Just because you're the Marchioness and the legal wife of the Marquis doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! I still haven't forgotten what you have done, you wench, old woman!'

CHARLOTTE AINSIELLE CHEVALIER, the current Marchioness, and the legal wife of the Marquis. She is the biological mother of Eclipse's older siblings.

From what he remembered; she came from the noble Count Fleener's household as the eldest lady. The Fleener household is a distant relative of the Chevalier household since intermarriage is a norm amongst the noble society.

'She felt entitled because of her status as the eldest lady of Fleener and now as the legal wife and the Marchioness of Chevalier household. I wonder what would be her reaction if they dragged her down to her highest seat in the mud? That would be a fascinating view if that happens.'

"How have you been, youngest? Your Father and your siblings are worried for you because of what happened earlier at the dining hall."

Eclipse snorted; "Really? Do I need to feel honored that dear FATHER and my dear SIBLINGS are now worried about me? Oh, come on! As if I don't know what your motives are, Marchioness."

The Marchioness, known for her elegance, loses her composure when he delivers a sudden sharp-tongued statement, causing him to smirk at her startled reaction.

'As if I would be subservient just like before. Tsk! Just get the f*cking hell out of here! Your presence makes me sick!'

Eclipse cut off an insolent dog servant by the Marchioness' side and glared at him; "And who are you to speak to me like that?! Just because you're licking into the Marchioness' thighs doesn't mean that you're any higher than me, insolent dog servant! Know your place!

I might be an illegitimate child of this household, but remember, I still hold the Chevalier name while you are nothing but a dog who keeps on wagging its tail for its master! That is your place!"

He yelled at the servant, who dared to speak rudely at him as if he was anything higher than him! The audacity!

The servant that Eclipse yelled at is now fuming in red with anger and wanted to refute when the servant felt the cold gaze coming from its master and retreated from behind as he bow down his head.

The Marchioness, Charlotte, didn't expect that this child would be like this, and she knew that something had changed in him when he joined them at the dinner earlier. She didn't know what had happened to him, but she was here to replace out.

She sighed as she tried to ease the tension around them as she smiled; "Pardon my servant if he disrespect you. I'll make sure to punish him later on."

Charlotte tried to look friendly as possible, but Eclipse won't buy it as he had a deadpan expression plastered on his face.

"State your business, Marchioness."

Eclipse stated bluntly and paused for a minute and after that, he smirks as he continued; "Also, don't you replace it strange that you seek me out in the middle of the night? What if others think something…. Unpleasant about this matter? ~~~"

When Charlotte heard what Eclipse said, her composure snapped from that moment because of the words coming from that bastard's child that she didn't like it and she felt insulted as a noblewoman.

"Watch what were you saying, EZEKIEL ZEPHYR CHEVALIER! I am still the Marchioness of this household and your stepmother! Show some respect!"

Charlotte raised an eyebrow at the insolent child in front of her; "Excuse me?"

"I said. OUT! Do you want me to drag you out of my room or you will voluntarily step out of my room since you trespassed here in the middle of the night? This is unbecoming for a noblewoman such as yourself to visit his underage stepson at the times like this."
