Chapter 121: One Last Favor

Cyrus had left the Lesser Floor of the Universal Realm as he planned to go straight at the Upper Floor to seek an audience with the Lord God Jules.

In reality, seeking an audience with their one and only master isn't that easy since the Lord God isn't someone that anyone could just meet up right away.

For normal agents and world-hoppers who would want to seek an audience, there are a lot of process that someone needs to prove themselves worthy to stand in front of the Lord God Jules himself.

However, there are who rarely could have done that, or others happened to be lucky for their audience to be approved by the Lord God himself.

'But that rarely happens and the Lord God himself wasn't that fond of someone who just waltz into his territory.'

Of course, even one of his trusted aides aren't that quite bold to suddenly entered their master's territory even if they were granted access to the Upper Floor but they also need to get an approval from their master first before entering the said territory.

But that was not the case from the Lord God's successor candidates.

They have free reign to enter the Upper Floor of the Universal Realm where their master resides, and they don't need to get the Lord God's approval for them to enter the Upper Floor.

Actually, if it was from before were there are still nine other successor candidates, Lord God Jules would have forbidden them from entering the Upper Floor and they won't get an access that easily since they were too many and the Lord God doesn't like his territory to be crowded by other people.

But right now, since only two successor candidates left, the Lord God gave the two free reign access to the Upper Floor without restriction.

'From what I know, from the moment Eclipse had been chosen as one of the successor candidates by the Lord God himself and up until only two candidates had remained, that kid never ever stepped foot within the Upper Floor even though he had free access without restriction, just like me.'

Cyrus thought as he remembered some of the information that he keep hearing from the others and at first, the Golden world-hopper wasn't that interested in any gossips that spread within the Lesser Floor, and he only thought of himself or the mission tasks that he take.

He had seen Eclipse before from a far when Cyrus stayed in the Main House for a while before continuing his journey to world-hopped into another worldlines for the mission tasks.

However, Cyrus never got the chance to have a conversation with Eclipse or even meeting him privately.

That's because, in reality, Cyrus purposely avoid interacting with Eclipse and it wasn't because he is afraid of him or something but more likely…. Cyrus didn't want to have any involvement with Eclipse or even a trace of their interaction with one another.

These are one of the reasons why Cyrus preferred to be doing his mission tasks than to stay within the Main House System as he didn't want to stay longer and there would be a chance that he might accidentally interact with Eclipse if that happens.

He snapped from his thoughts as he hurried himself to go at the Upper Floor and to seek an audience with the Lord God Jules for some of his discoveries.

'I just hoped that Sir Red would be there as well so that I'll say these things for once and wouldn't bother to looked for him after I relayed my discoveries to the Lord God.'

'Okay. It seems like someone got my wishes come true then.'

"It's been a while since I last saw you. When was that? More or less, thousands of years ago? Hmmm?"

Cyrus snapped from his dazed when the Lord God Jules asked him while the other person that he wishes to seek an audience for is now right here.

'I almost forgot that out of the trusted aides of Lord God Jules, Sir Red is the only Higher Council member that the Lord God favors the most.'

Although it's not well-known within the Main House System about the Lord God favoring Sir Red that much but there are other Higher Councils and Leaders from different Department quite knew about this matter and it was like secret only those certain individuals should know but at the same time are not.

'There are times that I thought these two had some kind of relationship or something since judging by the Lord God's appearance that could be passed on as a woman because of his almost delicate-like feature that describes him as a fragile glass that needs to be handled with care.'

"My dear Cyrus, are you spouting nonsense in your thoughts once again about me? Hmmm?'

Cyrus wasn't even surprised when the Lord God just called him out and smiled gently back at him.

The Golden world-hopper just looked back at his master stoically and said; "You already know it yet you're still asking that stupid question."

"CYRUS! Please have some respect in front of the Lord God!"

Red shouted at the Golden world-hopper because of his disrespectful remarks towards their master and the Leader of the Higher Council feels like he would have a migraine because of this disrespectful brat.

Cyrus, on the other hand, didn't feel intimidated as he presented himself in front of these two.

"Tell us what are you doing here by the way? Because you're the type of person who wouldn't even dare to stay up within the Main House System and would always out for mission tasks."

At the end, Red just gave up lecturing this kid because no matter how he tried to discipline him, it will be just for a naught.

The Lord God, however, just laughed out loud because of Cyrus' usual display of disrespect but Jules never felt offended because he had used to it and it was a nice feeling that at least, there is one person would dare to display their dislike in front of his face and never bothered for appearances' sake.

However, what Red stated is also true about Cyrus' unusual audience right now since this kid who didn't even stay at the Main House for a long time and would only do mission tasks that was assigned to him, this scene is kind of rare for him to see.

But the Lord God isn't wary of him just because Cyrus is another successor candidate that has been brought up by one of the Lord God's trusted aide and Jules could only tell that Cyrus wasn't that interested about being a successor candidate.

Cyrus didn't want to stay here any longer and since both parties were here anyway then, he would just tell them about some of his discoveries that he happened to stumble upon while he was journeying throughout the vast universe.

"We should replace a way to reconnect with Eclipse as soon as possible."

After he said that statement, Red frowns and suddenly became wary of the other world-hopper but upon remembering that Cyrus is the one who told him about Eclipse's condition in a secret, Red became less wary but still couldn't help but be on guard all of the sudden.

The Golden world-hopper knew what Red was thinking about, but he didn't bother to explain himself to him since the matters about Eclipse is much more important than this trivial matter.

He looked at the Lord God's direction where their master still on his usual high throne within his abode and bluntly said; "The agents from the AutoTech Department are having the hard reconnecting back to that worldline where the Slayer Agent Arico and the Platinum world-hopper Eclipse seems likely to be stranded in that worldline."

After that, Red sighed in frustration because he didn't know what seemed to be the problem that the system interfaces of those two couldn't reconnect with each other and the connection is still severed between them.

"I also heard that you also partake in that project and had given some insights on your part and because of you and the others contribution for restoring the system data codes, most of the agents and world-hoppers could now have an access within their own interfaces."

Red said and Cyrus just shrugged off his shoulder as if it was nothing; "I'm just doing my role as one of the residences of the Main House System."

"Even if you were nearly got punished by your superior because of your contributions?"

Cyrus keep silent for a moment and smirk for the first time; "Well, he won't do anything, and I bet he had some in hand about the connection severed between those two and from the Main House System."

The Golden world-hopper said, and he looked at the Lord God who just watched from the sidelines, waiting for what he was about to say and after that, both the Lord God and Red had a shocked expression on their faces, especially the Lord God who, suddenly stood up from his throne as he looked at Cyrus with a complicated expression.

Both of them witness something that wouldn't have in their entire existence and both of them knew Cyrus' personality from who knows how long.

Right now, what they were seeing is that…. Cyrus, who is known for his stubbornness, literally kneeled in front of the Lord God for the first time ever and said something that both gentlemen couldn't help but gave a thought about it.
