LOCATION: EVELLEN TERRITORY, WESTERN PART OF CLIFFTON EMPIRE

There are times when the world-hopper would need the guidance of his superior Red at times like this.

However, since the system interface is still shut down for three years, he didn't have a choice but to decipher this matter on his own, without the guidance of his seniors and superiors back at the Main House System.

It wasn't that he was not smart enough to decipher these kinds of things on his own since he was young noble child back then and even if he was an illegitimate child of the Marquis, he still receive an equal education that befits him as the child of a noble.

'However, it's much better to listened and to have a second opinion from others just an additional insight on the topic on hand.'

If this was from his previous life where he is still that illegitimate child of the Marquis and the well-known disgraced half-noble child, Eclipse wouldn't dare to seek guidance or opinions from others due to his pride and distrust with others.

'But right now, I'm no longer that person anymore, even though I have reincarnated back in this worldline, but I no longer held any importance in this world anymore.'

Since Eclipse had change over the past millennium years that came by when he accepted to become a world-hopper upon his death in the previous timeline.

'Although I still retain some of my temper from before but not that much since it's quite embarrassing to act like how I used to be when in fact I'm actually millennium years old already.'

When Eclipse was reincarnated back to his previous life as the 15-year-old Ezekiel, he tried to act as much as possible on how he was from before since he became a world-hopper and had already acted in different kinds of roles that the system gave him for his mission tasks.

However, in those missions, there are times he could act out of character if needed but he still stick to the original host's personality but not that much though.

But in this worldline, especially the worldline where he came from originally, Eclipse didn't act how the usual behavior of the 15-year-old Ezekiel since from the email that was send to him back at his system interface and had read its contents that he is no longer the minor villain from the original plot.

'As for how that happens? I don't know either.'

Once everything is settled and done from here, if the system interface had finally fixed, Eclipse would immediately reconnect with his superior Red and would ask for request to be brought back at the Main House System since he doesn't want to be here for any longer than that.

After that, he would go back to his job as a world-hopper and would be doing mission tasks once again.

'The only reason that I'm here is because of that last incident that happened in his last world mission. Also, for his soul energy to be stabilize for a moment and after that, he would leave this world once again.'

He doesn't want to stay in this worldline any longer because he had a feeling that the longer, he stays, the more problems would just suddenly pop out of nowhere.

Just like right now, about the person who bumped Arico earlier and how the Slayer Agent describes what he saw underneath those concealing hood that person wears.

'I don't want to entangle myself in further trouble. Right now, just looking for that client makes this job even harder to track down with.'

Sometimes, as much as he wanted to ignore it but there are times when Eclipse couldn't leave things be and if needed, he would try to solve it as soon as possible.

"Arico, that person you described earlier, the one who had the symptoms of Ardus Syndrome, I replace it perplexing about it."

He paused for a moment before he continued; "And I know you won't lie about the details that you presented since you are right about how the agents from the Slayer Department of the Main House System were trained to gather detailed information for their cases."

After that, Eclipse sighed once more as he looked at his companion who seat at the opposite side of him and said his finally piece; "Since the agents from the Slayer Department are not just executioners but also, they were judges as well and that's why right now, I found the situation even more perplexing about this!"

Eclipse held his forehead to ease the headache he felt right now and frowned and sighed for the third time.

The Slayer Agent, on the other hand, knowing how the world-hopper's thoughts runs deep, shook off his head and asked him; "You know, I have only read the whole plot of [Mystique Enchantress] back then and the only guide for me in this worldline are those outlines only but you, Eclipse…."

He paused for a moment and continued; "As someone who was originally from this world, you know some parts that wasn't even mentioned in the world plot, and I think one of those are the ones we had encountered earlier."

Eclipse didn't speak for a while and the world-hopper let his companion to speak further since he couldn't even reconnect with his superior without the system interface, Arico, the Slayer Agent, is also knowledgeable and it would be right for the world-hopper to hear his opinions as well.

"You said something about the Ardus Syndrome and according to you, it's a curse disease originated from the Gods and the first symptom that I describe earlier is from that person who bumped into me, right?"

Arico tried to recall if he happened to come across that word from the world plot in the System Archive back then.

After some time had passed, there is a particular scene that he happened to come across by, but it was vague but at the same time, it has an interesting detail that he almost forgot about it.

"There is a scene from [Mystique Enchantress] where the heroine and her other companions, which are the five male leads, they happened to stumble upon a village who were plague with a disease that you mentioned earlier."

'Of course, I know that part as well and it was indicated in the world plot that not even the heroine's precious bloodline powers could heal the Ardus Syndrome. However, what is he trying to say now?'

Eclipse thought and frowns deeply.

Arico noticed how his expression change for a moment, and he continued to speak; "However, there's not much information provided about the Ardus Syndrome other than the first symptom that appeared in the person's body."

After that, silence had reign between the two of them and for the past minutes and so, no one tried to speak for now as both had deep thoughts regarding the issue.

"That's why it's perplexing to think that someone with an Ardus Syndrome appeared in this empire."

Eclipse finally said his statement after a long silence, but Arico couldn't figure out the world-hopper's way of thoughts as he keeps on saying about "how perplexing" this situation and so and so forth.

"Can you just elaborate or much better, make it short that I would understand because you keep saying that phrase over and over again."

Arico sighed in frustration because there are times when Eclipse would use some vague statements whenever he is trying to figure out about something.

"Ardus Syndrome is not literally a curse disease from the Gods, as per what the rumors say so, but it wasn't that literally what it means because…."

The world-hopper paused for a moment and then sighed as he continued his statement that makes the Slayer Agent got his eyes widen in shock at what the world-hopper revealed to him.

"Ardus Syndrome originally comes from the Cranus Continent since the name Ardus comes from a demon and not just any ordinary demon but rather, a high-rank demon who was specialized in curses and soul puppetry…. The DEMON KING HIZARDUS."

*****ARCANUM DE FLEUR H.Q.******

"What in the world are you doing in this continent…. IASON?"

Rheina frowned at the intruder who she had recognized because she didn't expect someone would visit them into their headquarters.

'What in the world is he doing in here?'

The thought came to her mind as she looked at the person in front of her and suddenly, she remembered something as her bloodlust went up while looking at the person in front of her.

"Also, what have you done to the others outside? Care to give a reasonable explanation about this matter?"

Rheina clenches her fists while holding her weapons from both hands and prepares herself to attack the person in front of her if the answer didn't satisfy her.

The intruder, who Rheina addressed as Iason, knew the woman's temper and sighed as he give a reasonable explanation that would satisfy the Lotus Killer in front of him.

"Don't worry. They're safe. I just put them into sleep or something similar to that."
