Chapter 90: Clandestine's Symbol

LOCATION: ERHAN VILLAGE, NORTHERN PART OF CLIFFTON EMPIRE

It's already late at night and most of the people within the village are now packing up to rest at their respective homes and all of them wanted some good sleep for tomorrow's respective works.

However, among them, one person couldn't sleep at all.

And that's Eclipse, formerly known as Ezekiel Zephyr Chevalier, the [deceased] Third Young Master from the Marquis Chevalier household of Stellarus Empire.

Three years ago, he was supposed to attend as a second-year student at Lumen Academy in Stellarus Empire where most of the noble children are mandatory to attend and study for four years under the laws of the Empire.

If this were in the previous timeline, Eclipse, or Ezekiel would have to attend that academy in order to gain recognition from his family and the people around him.

However, he is no longer that Ezekiel Zephyr Chevalier, the Third Young Master and known as a good-for-nothing disgrace of a half-blood noble from that household since he is already dead three years ago.

Not only that, but he is also no longer a native of this worldline and any action that he would take no longer matters to him.

Since he is now an outsider of this worldline.

He is now Eclipse, a Platinum world-hopper and one of the successor candidates that was chosen by the Lord God Jules himself.

'That time, I didn't know that the Lord God Jules is the one who appointed me as one of his successor candidates. As of right now, only two of the successor candidates remains.'

Eclipse had met the other candidate, and he is also an excellent world-hopper based on his own observation whenever that candidate stayed in the Universal Realm of the Main House System.

He snapped from those thoughts as he looked at his side where Arico had fallen asleep when both of them left the Adventurer Guild late at dawn as they headed back to the inn they were renting.

Right now, both him and Arico are now adventurers, and they got their license almost a year ago when they first stepped into this Empire.

After they left the borders of Stellarus Empire three years ago, both of them didn't know where to go on and since they were given shelter by Rheina for almost two years, but Eclipse didn't want to impose that much from her and besides, it will be dangerous for him to stay beside her.

Ever since they managed to purge all the traitors within the Clandestine clan and captured most of the people who turned their backs on the clan, it wouldn't take that long for the Crown Prince to know about the situation that happens.

But because of what Arico and Rheina had done three years ago, the Crown Prince was sentence into confinement and up until now, three years had passed, for sure that Rheina already stabilize her position as the Headmaster of Clandestine clan and the Leader of Arcanum De Fleur.

'It won't be that long for the Crown Prince to release from his confinement but even he were to be released by then, it's already been too late for him.'

If he were to be released, the Crown Prince could no longer touch the Clandestine clan and the Arcanum De Fleur.

Eclipse didn't know about the status of Thesus Yor from that time, but he was sure that even though he wasn't held captive, but he knew that Rheina had put a bounty for his head and that's quite brutal since Thesus Yor is nothing but a prey for those predators who wanted to hunt him down for the rest of his life.

'If I were to be ask, I'll rather die than to be toyed like that. That's quite a mental torture, if you asked me.'

After that, since Eclipse didn't want to settle within the Clandestine clan's base, Rheina suggested to them that if they wanted to go far away from this land, they need to cross over to the other continent away from where they are.

Because even though they left the Stellarus Empire, there's no saying that Eclipse would be found out if he stays here as the Stellarus Empire's authority within the CRANUS CONTINENT are absolute and most of the neighboring empires and kingdoms are under the control of Stellarus Empire.

That's why Rheina suggests to them they should go across the continent and reach the CLIFFTON EMPIRE of VERTUM CONTINENT.

However, journeying across the continent would take them several months before they landed there and it's the first time that Eclipse had heard about that continent, even in the previous timeline.

'Well, it's understandable that I don't know such place since in the previous timeline, the world plot of [Mystique Enchantress] only covers a little information about the Cranus Continent.'

The reason why Rheina suggested for them to journeyed to that Empire is because the Clandestine's ancestors are originally from the Cliffton Empire of Vertum Continent, and they still had their main household from there.

When Eclipse learned about this, he couldn't help but frowned at the new revelation about Rheina Clandestine's background.

'Who said that this woman is an irrelevant character from the original timeline? If I were to ask, this woman seems like a hidden female protagonist!'

After everything was said and done, before they left for a long journey, Rheina tossed something to him, and Eclipse was able to catch on within his palm and looked at the object thrown at him.

Eclipse remembered those statement from Rheina as he took that item from his inventory since he could still used one of the system features that's available for him to use and he sighed in relief that he can still access his inventory.

'Thank goodness and I still have access with it, or I would go nuts as most of my things are within inside the inventory!'

His clothes, items and even the pocket money coming from that household are inside the inventory as he put all of his things there without somebody noticing it.

He snapped from those thoughts as he take a look at the item Rheina gave it to him.

Eclipse frowns as he inspects the item, or more likely, a token.

'What kind of symbol was this?'
