Chapter 98: [Ring of Razilla's] True Name

With that thought, Eclipse killed the incoming monsters who attacked him in a frontal assault…

After that, he jumped higher as he reached one of the cliffs within the valley and then looked around to survey the area and to look for potential threats.

When he noticed that the coast is clear and nothing would have come on his spot, Eclipse looked down to watch as Arico continued to senselessly slaughter those monsters that comes to his way and the world-hopper noticed the vast domain authority with Arico's six-winged symbol that scattered within his domain of reach.

'For someone who had a demonic-like appearance but had a symbol of an angel? Is this some kind of a joke or something? I had the feeling that the Lord God himself was just experimenting on something and the victim just happened to be Arico.'

Eclipse didn't know whether to laugh or cry because of the mere fact that Arico's primary ability, his power of authority came from the demons because of his demonic appearance but his source of authority had the symbol of an angel is pretty hilarious.

'It feels like Arico became a hybrid of demons and angels because of this. I wonder if he ever questioned this authority that he received from the Lord God himself.'

The primary abilities, or most importantly, the domain of authority that most titular agents and world-hoppers that was bestowed upon them came from none other than the Lord God himself.

Regular agents and world-hoppers doesn't have a domain of authority on their own and their abilities could only be used together with their system companion whenever they world-hopped into the worldlines.

Only a few agents and world-hoppers had a titular name on their own. Arico and Eclipse are the agents and world-hoppers who had a titular name attached to themselves.

Arico, known as the notorious cold-blooded agent… the Demonic Agent.

Eclipse, known as one of the successor candidates for the Main House System…. The Platinum world-hopper.

That's why even though their system interface has been shut down for three years, their domain of authority can still be used without the assistance of their own system interface.

'Now, all coast is clear. I need to confirm first if the [Ring of Razilla] would respond to my call.'

The [Ring of Razilla] isn't literally a ring at all.

It's actually a grimoire of all-rounder magic, spells and knowledge that was stored within that book.

In reality, that grimoire isn't called [Ring of Razilla] at all. It's just a fake name to confuse those people who wanted to covet such an item and to think it's just an ordinary ring within their eyes.

However, from what Eclipse had remembered from that certain worldline, before his mission tasks had been completed, he remembered that he destroyed that grimoire because he just needed it for his mission.

Before that grimoire became the [Ring of Razilla], it was just an ordinary grimoire with basic spells and stuff that was gifted to him by a certain master and Eclipse just happened to improve that item into his own bidding.

But after his mission had completed in that worldline, because of the grimoire he created, if he just left it alone, it will fall into malicious hands.

Even though it had a passcode that he imprinted on it, he didn't want to let his guard down for this one.

At that time, he wasn't a Platinum world-hopper yet, so he doesn't have an authority to bring forth any items into his system inventory and that's why he had no choice but to destroy that item before it got into the wrong hands before he went back to the Main House System.

However, Eclipse didn't expect to encounter that item here in his original worldline and to think he would see this on the commission board within the Adventurer Guild.

'I don't want to think any further about this kind of scenario, but I had a bad feeling about this if this turns out the grimoire that he literally owned and created from that certain worldline then, is it possible….'

He shook off his head as he didn't want to conclude that [he's] the one who had done this.

Who else that the world-hopper think it was?

It's none other than the only entity within the vast universe that had the control over the worldlines, the Overseer of the Universal Realm, the master of the Main House System…. The Lord God himself, Jules.

'But if that was the case then, why was the Lord God put this item in his original worldline?'

The world-hopper didn't know what to think as of the moment but since he needed to confirm this item first then, he set aside those thoughts for now and focused on the main subject.

He closed his eyes for a moment and then calm his nerves as he felt the magic energy surge within him as the gust of wind come forth and finally, he opened his lilac-colored eyes that shines throughout the darkness around them and raise his one hand as he speaks.

« ….. "Source of light, dwelling upon on the night sky, return to its original keeper! I summoned thee!" ….. »

As he enchanted those words, a sudden light came not far from where Eclipse stood, and his lilac-colored eyes shines brighter from the vast darkness that surrounds him as he detected the familiar source of power.

His lilac-colored eyes locked on that particular light coming not far from where he stood as he finished his enchantment.

« ... ["ARK LEGACY!"] …. »

And with, a familiar grimoire appeared within Eclipse's palms as he call forth the original name's item and now the world-hopper confirmed that the item he knew truly appeared within this worldline.

'Just how in the world…'

Now, as Eclipse looked at the familiar grimoire within his hands, he gritted his teeth because he didn't expect that one of his creations would appear within his original worldline when in fact that this item should have been destroyed.

As the world-hopper recalled that this should be a retrieval operation from the client, Eclipse needed to know more about these so-called [client].

'It's time to head back.'

****ADVENTURER GUILD BRANCH****

"Welcome, Sir Arico and Sir Eclipse. How's the commission on the Valley of the Deep?"

After the successful retrieval of the commission item from the Valley of the Deep, both Arico and Eclipse returned to the guild after a few days of rest.

When the receptionist saw both of them enter the guild, she greeted the two of them politely since both Arico and Eclipse are a well-renowned S-Rank adventurers.

"Thank you for asking, Miss Ria. We're here to handle the completion of our task and also, we kindly need some favor to ask from you, if you don't mind."

Eclipse said as he ask the receptionist named Ria and the woman looked back at him with a smile and hummed politely as she speaks; "Yes, Sir Eclipse. Is there anything you want first before we proceed for the final completion of your task?"

Arico stayed silent for a moment and didn't engage in the conversation as he remained silent and act as a spectator only to observe.

"Aside from the basic information that you provided about the client, Gilbert Herrer, does the guild have any additional information about him? Anything about him unusual or something?"

Eclipse asked Ria about it and the woman frowns as she held her chin to think and minutes had passed, Ria finally spoke.

"Well, not totally that I know any additional information about the client, aside from the ones that I have gave you but since you asked me about it…. I only got this information recently since I recalled about the two of you, I take the risk to buy that information for your benefits as well."

Eclipse didn't know what to say as he didn't expect that the receptionist would do some extra work like this, and the world-hopper felt indebted to her somehow.

"Ah…. I don't know how to thank you enough, Miss Ria! Thank you really."

Ria just wave her hand as she speaks; "It's nothing, Sir Eclipse! Since both you and your cousin are one of the guild's most prominent adventurers, both of you got your S-Rank titles in a short time. As the receptionist, it's my job to provide at least an information you guys needed."

Before they started to converse with each other, the receptionist, Ria, had already activated the barrier for the three of them so that others wouldn't be able to hear what they were talking about if they were discussing something important.

'Well, this saves them for some trouble then.'

"Now, take this. Inside that envelope are the additional information regarding Gilbert Herrer. I don't know if this information would be a help but good luck for now."

Eclipse saw the envelope that was laid out in front of them, and he took that envelope as he smiled at Ria and both of them thank the woman who waved at them with a smile.

'Now, let's meet our dearest client, shall we?'
