Chapter 63

Third person’s POV

Miriam, Jonathan, Paris, Wayne, Herman, Kirstina, Elena, Jeff, Ace, and Walker are having a meeting. Miriam is the head of the magical creatures, and she and Ace help the other shamans become stronger and teach them how to tap into their magic. Aldo and Dakota will help them with the training of the magical wolves. Miriam has not accepted Jonathan as her mate yet. Still, he is always around her to protect her, and Miriam realizes that she will have to take him as her mate soon, or she may lose Jonathan because the she-wolves like him, and one can be his second-chance mate. She does not want to lose her mate again.

They are all discussing how they will clean up the dogmen and rogues from the park and how to keep them away from the humans doing experiments. Kristina has told them her father’s plan. He plans to make the humans afraid of the werewolves, and the army will start cities where the humans can live safely. It will have tall walls, and the wolves will not be able to get in, but the humans do not know that these cities will become their prisons, where they will be slaves to the vampires. All the soldiers will be turned into vampires and live forever and help her father to keep the humans from rebelling and figuring out how to kill their vampire masters. So, the cities will not only be there to keep the wolves out, but more there to keep the humans inside. He and his army will then go out at night and kill all the werewolves so no one can help the humans, and her father will then be able to rule the world and keep all the humans as slaves.

The wolves know they can not let that happen, and they will have to think of something fast, as the first city her father plans on making a slave city is Las Angeles. It is a big city, and many cities and other places are not too far from it. They have a harbor, and they can get food from farms in Europe and other areas in the states. They will have to keep the humans fed well as they can not let them die, and they will have to learn only to drink enough b***d from the humans, so they do not turn or die. They will make humans have babies and breed them like livestock. Walker, Paris, and the rest suspected something like that, and they were not even shocked to hear what Kristina was telling them. It is the same thing Valentino and Jeff told them, as the vampires have been trying it for decades. They always wanted humans as their slaves, and the werewolves kept them from doing it. Now they are using the werewolves to get what they want, which is not sitting well with the wolves. They will have to warn the wolves worldwide about what is happening and maybe get as many in the Kingdom as possible. It will be easier to fight a war from one place and protect as many wolves as possible.

Miriam calls Jonathan after the meeting. She wants to talk to him in private. Jonathan walks with Miriam into the woods, where they can be alone. Miriam knows that Jonathan has not looked at another she-wolf since they met, and she must admit that he has been faithful and does not judge her as her first mate did. She knows he will always be around. She wants Jonathan as he always tries to protect her, and he will never judge her for being half-wolf and half-witch. She knows her father and first mate are still looking for her and her mother. She knows what her first mate can be. He did not want her, and then he wanted her back. Jonathan wanted her from the start and admired her for who she was, not what she was.

“Jonathan, you know my first mate is still looking for me. He first rejected me, and then he wanted me back. Brian is still chasing after me, and my father is looking for my mother and me as he wants to kill us,” Miriam says.

“I will never let that happen. Miriam, you are my mate, and I never had a mate before, and I can not let you go. Please, stop rejecting me and accept me as your mate,” Jonathan pleads to Miriam.

“I accept you as my mate, Jonathan,” Miriam says. Jonathan can not believe what he hears.

“I accept you as my mate, Miriam,” Jonathan says, takes Miriam in his arms, and marks her before she can change her mind again. Mariam marks Jonathan back, and Jonathan can not believe that Miriam finally accepted him as her mate. He can not wait to tell everyone that he is no longer available and has a mate now. He can not wait to rub it in Walker’s face as Walker has been teasing him.

He holds Miriam in his arms, and she lets him. Tonight, they will seal their bond forever, and no one will be able to break their mating bond. Jonathan takes Miriam’s hand and takes her back to the pack. He can not wait until tonight and pulls her into his room in the packhouse. Miriam can also not wait to become Jonathan’s mate in the full sense of the word. Jonathan and Miriam fall into each other’s arms as the door closes behind them. They rip each other’s clothes off each other’s bodies and fall on the bed. As Jonathan enters, Miriam m***s as it hurts at first, but her wolves help her recover fast, and they make love for the first time. They make love for the rest of the afternoon, and Miriam feels as if she now has a forever home and belongs with Jonathan, his pack, and the Kingdom of the wolves. She knows she has someone who loves her more than anything else.

As Jonathan enters Miriam for the first time, a wolf howls in pain deep in the woods of the Kingdom of Wessex. He can feel his mate has another mate, and she has broken every bond she ever had with him. Brian is folded over in pain. His men look at him in surprise. He rejected his mate and wanted her back. They are hot on her trail. What is happening? Did she replace another mate? Impossible! Brian would never let her replace another mate, and every wolf around them knows not to take her as their mate as she belongs to their Alpha.

“Alpha? What is wrong?” One of his men asks.

“That w***e has another mate! They are full mates now, and there is nothing I can do about it,” Brian says.

“You can always kill her new mate,” His beta says.

“I do not want a second-hand b***h! I want to kill both of them,” Brian says.

“We can always do that,” His beta answers, and he does not understand how Brian can claim to love Miriam if he wants to kill her and not take her as his mate even after she has another mate. A wolf will always want his mate, no matter what. Why is Brian so hard-headed? First, he rejected Miriam and thought she was not good enough for him because she had witch b***d. Then he wanted her back when he realized how strong she was, and now he wants to kill her—talking about an emotional up and down. The young Alpha is not stable, and he thinks he is a lot like his father, who was crazy as f**k as he took two lunas. The pack did not like it as they knew a werewolf was loyal and only had one mate.

No werewolves have more than one mate, as they are loyal creatures, unlike the vampires that can have multiple lovers and not even feel it. Vampires are cold-hearted creatures that can not feel love, while wolves have one mate and will always have one mate. Wolves are noble creatures with a noble heart and even thinking of cheating on your mate and causing them pain is unacceptable for werewolves. You get evil ones like humans that will cheat on their mates, but the chance of that happening is very rare. Normally, it is werewolves that have no loyalty to their pack or their Kingdom that will do something like that, as they are not loyal to the ones they are supposed to love. A noble werewolf will stay true to his mate and will never reject her unless they are greedy and want to marry for money or status or just want to have s*x with a lot of wolves and do not really care about their mate or pack. They are normally corrupted by magic or by humans or by vampires. Well, that was the old time. In modern times, you get it much more, as human movies and society corrupt the werewolves.

An excellent example of a werewolf being corrupted is Paris’ grandfather and her mother. The same with Brain’s father and him. It usually does not last more than two generations as the Moon Goddess will intervene and make up for their bad behavior with the children or grandchildren they have. She does not like to have a whole family of werewolves being corrupted. She would rather destroy them than let them go on for generations, so she would generally have their children turn against their evil grandparents and parents rather than have it go on for decades like the vampires do. Selene loves her children but will punish them if they go wrong.

Selene smiles down at Brian as she knows he does not deserve Miriam and that she will need Miriam and Jonathan in her plan to defeat the vampires and the evil humans. She hopes he will appreciate his second chance mate more as she will send him a weak she-wolf, unlike Miriam. She hopes he has a stronger character than his father and will accept a weak wolf as his mate. He will pay for it like his father did if he does not. Ultimately, his two lunas killed him as he hurt both of them. She is tired of werewolves trying to become like humans. In the last few decades, she has become angry with the werewolves, especially the younger generation that does not believe in the mate bond again. It is in the last few decades that werewolves have tried more and more to become like humans and tried to choose their mates.

Real werewolves will never do that. They will not have more than one mate. They will not feed their mate’s wolfsbane to cheat on them and not know about it. In the past, here and there were terrible wolves, but they were few. Now there are many more corrupt werewolves as they watched many human movies. She will stop it. She will have to let this war happen, and she will have to let the humans trust werewolves again but still be afraid of them, as their movies have romanized them and made them something that humans can see as equal to them and not be scared of the wolves. She knows her wolves will become the proud wolves of old and will not mingle with humans as they do now and cheat on their mates as they think it is okay because the movies say so. She will make them her warriors again and stay away from humans. Selene wants to reset the world and will allow the vampires to come to a point. Still, she wants the modern idea of werewolves and vampires, good romantic creatures, to disappear. She wants humans to realize supernatural creatures are not romantic and are not meant to mate with humans unless she allows it. Selene smiles as she knows what she plans for the world and will help her creatures to win as she has a winning team. The war will start soon, and not all vampires will disappear, but those that stay will be good and be with their kind. She did allow Wayne and Kristina as she wanted some hybrids and knew who she could pare and who not. Wayne and Kristina are both strong creatures, and they do not realize yet that, since Kirstina marked Wayne as well, they will both become hybrids.
