Bartholomew finally snapped, swinging his hand to slap Sebastian across the face.

Lyra smirked at this, feeling an inexplicable excitement at the prospect of Sebastian being hit.

However, in the next instant, her eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

In fact, everyone except Rainey, who anticipated this, wore expressions of utter astonishment.

Bartholomew's slap never reached Sebastian's face. Instead, Sebastian landed a resounding slap on Bartholomew's cheek.

"Holy crap! He actually laid his hand on General Serpent!"

"This guy's gone mad. Even the gods can't save him now."

Bartholomew clutched his stinging face and took a full three seconds to regain his senses.

"You bastard! How dare you hit me? I'll kill you!"

Bartholomew roared, swinging his fist toward Sebastian's face.

As a seven-star general, he possessed some skill beyond just connections and seniority. He was a grandmaster.

The power behind his punch was formidable, capable of shattering rock.

Sebastian, however, didn't indulge him. With a cold snort, he countered with a punch to Bartholomew's face.

With a loud thud, Bartholomew collapsed to the ground.

Everyone except Rainey and Esme was dumbfounded, their eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

Bartholomew was a seven-star general, yet Sebastian floored him with a single punch. It made Bartholomew seem incredibly weak. Bartholomew scrambled to his feet, his eyes burning with rage and undisguised fear as he looked at Sebastian.

"Who exactly are you?" Bartholomew demanded harshly.

Although his strength wasn't

exceptional among generals, he was

still a grandmaster. However, Sebastian's speed was too fast for him to react, indicating he had power far beyond his own. This man was certainly no nobody.

"Who I am is none of your concern. But as a general, your every word and action represents the military and our country. If you dare to shame us Dragothians again, I won't hesitate to eliminate you," Sebastian said casually, sending a chill down Bartholomew's spine.

Bartholomew was both shocked and enraged. "You're too arrogant, brat! Openly attacking a general is an unforgivable crime. I'll call someone right now and make sure you die a horrible death!" Bartholomew then pulled out his phone, ready to make a call.

Esme jumped in alarm, hurrying to intervene. "General Serpent, please calm down. We can talk this out. There's no need to escalate things."

Esme was more worried about a severe conflict between Sebastian and the War Department, which would be difficult to resolve.

Bartholomew was still fuming, and refused to listen. "I've never been hit like this in my life. If I don't teach him a lesson, how can I save myself from this humiliation?"

As Esme tried to persuade him further, Sebastian stopped her. "Esme, don't bother with him. If he's so eager to die, I'll oblige him."

"What are you planning to do?" Bartholomew exclaimed, suddenly wary as he stared at Sebastian.

He knew well that for Sebastian, killing him would be as easy as crushing an ant.

"I'm not planning anything, but don't provoke me. If I get angry, the consequences will be severe," Sebastian said with a meaningful smile.

Bartholomew shuddered and slowly put his phone back in his pocket.

Seeing Bartholomew's cowardice,

Charles sneered with contempt. "How is a seven-star general so

weak and cowardly? No wonder you Dragothians are always being

invaded. You're inherently weak and

cowardly, always welcoming invasion and conquest."
