Return Of The Prodigy -
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 161
Black Dragon had learned several languages, so he understood the content of their discussion. He sneered and thought to himself, Is trash like you even worth Drake the Dragon's attention? Undetected, Black Dragon arrived beside the burly man.
Sensing something, Espejo turned his head to look behind him.
Black Dragon seized the opportunity to slit his throat with a knife, covering Espejo's mouth immediately after.
Espejo opened his eyes wide in shock. He wanted to struggle, but strength slowly left his body. He became a corpse within seconds.
He died so fast that he did not even get to catch a glimpse of his murderer's face.
"I've secured the roof. Team A, Team B, you can proceed, over."
As Black Dragon gave the order, shadows silently surrounded the abandoned building.
On the second floor, Ametralladora was standing against a pillar while chewing gum. "Women are too soft nowadays. I only f****d this one for a few minutes, and she was screaming like she was about to die. She ruined my mood, and I ended up cutting her throat in a fit of anger."
The laughter of his teammates came from the radio.
Ametralladora continued, "I wonder what the soldiers of this country do to pass the time. It's so goddamn boring here."
In the next moment, someone's voice echoed in his ears.
"They say that hell is pretty lively. I bet you'll have lots of fun there."
Ametralladora was startled. When he turned around, a knife slit his throat and a hand covered his mo
His eyes slowly lost focus as he gazed at the ceiling.
"Second floor, clear. Team A is heading to the third floor, over."
On the third floor, Lobo was lying on the ground, asleep. A dagger slit his throat, and he became a cor
hin seconds.
On the other side of the floor, Sabueso was standing on the edge and urinating. A shadow quietly appeared behind him. Sabueso died soon after.
The night was becoming darker and darker as time passed, and the Reaper had started to claim lives.
Half an hour later, Angel woke up and looked at his wristwatch. He grabbed the radio and shouted, "Espejo, Ametralladora, what the hell are you doing? Give me a full report, now!"
It was a rule that the team members of Angeles had to report every thirty minutes to avoid getting caught off guard in case the sentries were taken out.
Now, both Espejo and Ametralladora had forgotten to report.
"Dammit, Espejo, Ametralladora, are you deaf?!" yelled Angel. Despite his growling, there was only silence from the other end.
Angel felt a chill down his spine. Something's off!
"Sabueso, Lobo, move your asses and take a look at what's happening!" ordered Angel as he picked up his handgun.
However, no one replied to him.
Angel had started sweating. He mustered his strength and ran to where his teammates were stationed. When he got there, he saw that they were all lying on the ground, motionless. The smell of blood assailed his nostrils. What the hell... Are they dead? Angel stared in disbelief.
At this time, a cold voice came from the shadows.
"Put down your weapon and surrender."
Angel shivered before mustering his courage and yelling, "Who are you?!
"I'm going to bury you along with my teammates!"
Angel pulled the trigger and opened fire, aiming at the mass of shadow before him.
Bang, bang, bang!
At the same time, a gleaming object shot toward him from the darkness.
A startled Angel hurried to dodge. However, he was a tad too late. The sharp object left a wound on his right arm.
That cold voice echoed in Angel's ears again.
"They call me Drake the Dragon."
Drake... Drake the Dragon?!
Angel was shocked, and his handgun almost slipped from his hand.
As the leader of a team of mercenaries that was ranked top 20 worldwide, he had naturally heard about Drake the Dragon. That name had shaken the world, and mercenaries like them felt apprehensive about taking missions beyond their borders. The most shocking of his battles had taken place just recently. After a bloody battle, Drake the Dragon managed to kill the eight legends all by himself.
"Ar-Are you really Drake the Dragon?" stammered Angel.
Adam slowly walked out of the shadows.
At the same time, the soldiers of the Black Snake Brigade surrounded them, noiselessly.
Adam threw a man to the ground. Both his legs were broken, and his mouth was sealed with tape. The man lay on the ground face-first, not moving in the slightest.
"Mosca?!" Angel exclaimed.
He thought of approaching his companion and saving him, but he then recalled something and stopped. He pointed his handgun at Adam and asked through gritted teeth, "Are you really Drake the Dragon? Are you not afraid that I'll kill you?" "You won't be able to," Adam said nonchalantly.
Fear flashed through Angel's eyes, but he still said, "I don't think you're faster than a bullet!"
Adam said calmly, "If you're outside a range of ten steps, a gun will be faster. But if you're within range, you stand no chance."
"Fine, let's see if you're really who you claim to be, die!" Angel pulled the trigger, and the bullet sped toward Adam.
Before the bullet could hit him, Adam vanished among the shadows.
Crack!
Suddenly, Angel's body flew backward for over 30 feet before finally coming to a stop. His right arm had been snapped, and blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth.
He looked at Adam in disbelief and shouted, "No way... Are you really Drake the Dragon?"
He was so shocked that he kept asking the same question again and again.
"You should feel honored that your team was wiped out by our Black Snake Brigade," Adam replied coldly.
Angel spat out a mouthful of blood and said with a sorrowful expression, "Haha... honored? I didn't expect that my ever-victorious team would get wiped out at the first failure. It's my fault if my teammates died. I can't believe I accepted a mission to assassinate Drake the Dragon, hahaha... As expected, this place is the bane of mercenaries!"
Angel's will to fight had crumbled. His team believed that the mission was going to be a piece of cake, and they even made fun of the local soldiers for being incompetent.
Only now did Angel realize that he was the fool. Despite being among the best 20 teams of mercenaries in the world, they were not able to give rise to a single wave before getting wiped out. "Who's your employer?" Adam asked.
Angel no longer tried to fight back. He knew that it was pointless if this man was really Drake the Dragon.
He raised his head and met Adam's gaze as if to etch his figure in his mind.
"You're not wrong. It's not a shame for my team to die at the hands of Drake the Dragon. Before I die, I only have one request. Bury me along with my teammates," said Angel in a deep voice. Adam said coldly, "You have no qualifications to demand anything from me." After a short moment, he added, "But if you cooperate with us, I might grant this wish of ours."
Angel smiled bitterly and nodded. "Thanks."
