Adam regretted trying to stop Priscilla!

The young man had just offered to give them intel about the Drake family. If he genuinely knew his true identity and blurted it, it would be hard to make it go away. He had made a lot of plans, but all of it would come to naught if his identity got exposed now! Unfortunately, even if Adam did not stop her, Priscilla would have no reason to kill the young man now! The young man had successfully saved himself! "Tell me more!" demanded Priscilla as she promptly placed her sword on the young man's neck.

"Yo-you have to promise not to kill me," the young man stammered.

Priscilla narrowed her eyes but did not answer. This young man was a prick. Even though she wanted to replace the Drake family, she could not let someone like this get away with it.

Adam felt slightly better on observing this. Since she was a member of the Lotus Sect, it was only natural for her to have a strong sense of justice. He shook his head and sneered coldly, "You have no right to bargain with us. You have 30 minutes to consider your options!"

He paused briefly before changing the subject. "We have to save them, so time is of the essence. Arianna, do you mind treating them? Owen, bring the young man inside and stand guard over him. Also, get the crowd to scatter." Arianna nodded and squatted down. Moments later, she said, "The cage is locked, I can't open it."

Fannie said immediately, "Let me help!" She retrieved a tool made of wire and opened the lock swiftly.

Arianna supported Ray into the room while Fannie helped with the young woman. While Owen brought the young man into the martial arts center, Adam took out his phone and called Black Dragon.

Before long, some Black Snake Brigade soldiers arrived on the scene. They helped restore order and told everyone to delete any footage they had on their phones and stopped them from spreading the news about the incident. Since the Black Snake Brigade was here to handle the incident, Adam went back to the martial arts center with Priscilla.

Meanwhile, inside the martial arts center.

The young man was kneeling at the center, Fannie and Owen flanked him on both sides. Arianna was treating Ray and Sandra inside the room.

"Go on," Priscilla ordered coldly as she walked up beside the young man.

The young man trembled and said sullenly, "My name's Eugene Peterson. I recently heard about members of the Drake family showing up in Lisle, so I came over to replace them. Since the Ultimate Fighting Championship was being held, I decided to drop in. That old man and the young woman are called Ray and Sandra Hernandez. The old guy used to work as a servant for the family, and the young woman is his granddaughter. We don't know anyone from the Drake family, so we brought them here hoping they could help identify them."

Priscilla frowned as she said frostily, "Did you replace them then?"

Eugene shook his head. "No, we haven't. We wanted to try our luck at the championship. We were signing up when this guy suddenly showed up out of nowhere and attacked us." He turned to glance at Owen.

Owen promptly wanted to unsheathe his sword. He gnashed his teeth and said, "Attack? Couldn't you tell? I was trying to kill you altogether! People like you are a waste of oxygen!"

A terrified Eugene instinctively retreated. "Look, I did not capture these people. Someone else handed them to me and told me to bring them around in their cages. If anyone from the Drake family saw them, they would naturally step forward and make their presence known..." He defended himself.

"Cut the shit," Priscilla interrupted impatiently. "Didn't you mention having intel about the family?"

Eugene nodded and suddenly raised his hand and pointed at Adam. "He's from the Drake family!" Priscilla hastily looked at Adam in surprise and looked annoyed.

Fannie looked at Adam as well. She just knew she was onto something.

Owen frowned looking at Adam too. He asked, "Are you from the Drake family? Have you been lying to us all this time?"

Adam was at a complete loss as they looked at him suspiciously. He acted as though he was surprised by the accusation. "Me? A member of the Drake family? Why would you think so?"

"I just saw you talking to the people in the cages," Eugene explained.

Priscilla turned cold. She had her hand on the sword hilt and looked as though she was about to pull out her sword any moment. "What did he say?" she asked coolly.

Eugene shook his head and replied, "I was getting attacked, so I couldn't hear what they were saying."

Adam instantly felt relieved. "How could you single me out as a member of the family just because I exchanged words with the casualties?"

"If you're not a Drake, why did you save them? Why would you talk to them if you didn't know them?" Eugene retorted.

Adam said coldly, "What were you expecting then? Don't you know you have done terrible things? In that case, are you saying anyone who tries to help is related to the Drake family?"

He pointed at Owen and Priscilla respectively as he spoke, "Why didn't you say he was from the Drake family? What about her?"

Eugene parted his lips and did not know what to say.

"This intel is not solid. It's pure speculation on your part," Fannie suddenly scoffed and proceeded to take a seat. She had completely lost interest in the conversation.

Priscilla continued looking at Adam intently. "What did you say to the old man?" she asked.

Adam sighed and said innocently, "I wanted to save them, so I pulled apart the bars on the cage."

Priscilla frowned. She refused to let it slide. "Don't change the subject. What did you say to him?"

Adam rolled his eyes and replied coldly, "I know you have always suspected me of being a member of the family. We have already saved those people, so if you really want to know, you should ask them instead. If they genuinely used to work for the Drake family, I'm sure they can identify them! Whatever it is, you should worry about yourself first. I can get away with killing in public, but not you. Even if you are from Lotus Sect, I'm sure you'll get taken away for investigation."

His words had only just landed when a police car pulled up in front of the martial arts center and four cops got off.

"We have received reports that someone was trying to kill here. Was it one of you? Please come with us to the police station," said the police captain coldly.

Priscilla stood up without the slightest fear in her eyes and said, "It was me."

"Take her away!" ordered the police captain. Two cops stepped forward immediately and wanted to cuff Priscilla.

However, Priscilla suddenly turned to point at Adam and said, "He told me to do it."

What the hell?! Adam looked at Priscilla in astonishment. What is she trying to do? Why is she trying to implicate me?

Adam promptly knew the answer to his question.

Priscilla said coldly, "He's in charge of the Black Snake Brigade."

Adam went speechless. So I was spot on about her intentions.

He had seriously doubted Priscilla's intelligence, but he had to eat his words now. She clearly knew what she was doing.

Adam was hoping Priscilla would get taken away for a couple of days so that she would stop investigating the Drake family. Secondly, he wanted her to learn what it was like in the real world since it was nothing like Lotus Sect. Now that she had implicated him, he would get taken in for questioning as well if he did not handle it!

Adam sighed powerlessly and said, "You can leave. I will talk to your boss about this and tell him to let it slide."

The police instantly frowned.

"They deserved to be slaughtered. The Black Snake Brigade will take over the case, so just stay out of it," Adam explained.
