Chapter 489

As soon as Cherise spoke, both Zander and Jean quickly waved their hands. "It's fine.

Just as everyone was about to leave the classroom, Hank suddenly shouted, "Hold on. Wait a second!"

Hank's loud voice startled Jean. "What's going on? Why are you acting like that all of a sudden? My assessment just went horribly, and now I'm all nervous. Your shout just took out a few more of my brain cells!" Jean spoke and stretched her hand out as if to smack Hank on the arm.

Hank didn't move, and Jean ended up giving him a light tap. That only made him laugh even harder. "Sorry, Jean. Sometimes I just can't control my volume."

Cherise and Zander both looked over at them.

"What's going on?" Cherise asked.

Hank looked at her and said, "Ms. Leach, there's one more thing. Not sure if you've forgotten about it."

Cherise thought for a moment, then replied naturally, "You're talking about visiting your orphanage, right?"

Hank nodded repeatedly. "That's right. Thank you for remembering, Ms. Leach. It's getting late today, so it's fine. We can do it another time. When would be a good day for you to come by? This weekend or whenever works for you." Cherise didn't hesitate. "Any day except today works. Just let me know when is convenient for you."

"How about tomorrow? Maeve and the others at the orphanage will be really looking forward to your visit," Hank quickly added, taking the chance while Cherise agreed.

Cherise nodded. "Okay."

Hank was extremely grateful, bowing with a beaming smile. "Thank you so much, Ms. Leach. You're really wonderful. Jean, Zander, if you're free, you're welcome to join us as well." Hank was so enthusiastic that it felt hard to turn him down. The two of them couldn't refuse and agreed to go along.

Hugh's car was waiting for Cherise at the usual spot.

Cherise glanced at the time and was getting ready to leave for Taylor Vogue to meet Xenia.

As she stepped out, Jean came up behind her, calling out, "Cherise, wait for me!"

Cherise turned around at the sound of her voice. "Jean, what's wrong?"

Jean quickly caught up to Cherise, looking a bit down. "Cherise, do you think I'm really bad? My assessment results were so poor. But I really love traditional medicine." Cherise gave a light laugh and looked at her. "There's still time. Don't rush it. You've got the potential. Compared to a lot of your classmates, you did well.

"Besides, you just switched majors. Going up against Hank and Zander, who are both really strong, it's understandable that

you

didn't do well. It's fine."

Jean sighed. "Hank's strength is just terrifying. He's so young, yet so strong, and he really reminds me of someone familiar. But I just can't remember who."

Chapter 489-

Cherise raised an eyebrow, catching the key point in her words.

Cherise turned her head and saw the young man riding away on a bike, his back disappearing into the distance. She seemed lost in thought for a moment.

A few moments later, Cherise turned back to Jean, seeing that she wasn't in the best mood. "It's okay. Let's go. Are you in a hurry to go home or back to the dorm? If not, I could take you somewhere to relax a bit."

Half an hour later, outside Taylor Vogue.

Taylor Vogue was a designer boutique run by Xenia. The store stood three stories tall, right in the heart of Betrico's bustling commercial district.

Xenia was currently a rising star in Clusia's fashion world, particularly known for her anime designs, which had earned her a large following among young people.

On top of that, Xenia's mother and grandmother, who had long been influential figures in high-society fashion circles, helped attract many other designers to showcase their work in the boutique. This made Taylor Vogue one of the most renowned designer boutiques in Betrico's social scene.

During the early days after opening, the store was so busy that it was impossible to keep up with demand. The service quality suffered, leading to numerous complaints from the city's high society. As a result, Xenia was forced to implement a reservation system with limited entry. Each time slot now only allowed ten customers with prior appointments.

Additionally, to prevent scalpers from reselling appointment slots, customers were required to show a ticket and undergo a strict check of their reservation information before entering the store. Cherise and Jean got out of the car and stood at the entrance, looking at the facade of Taylor Vogue.

Though the building was only three stories tall, the design was striking.

Not only did it feature Xenia's signature anime-inspired elements, but it also had sleek, futuristic design lines and unique

The combination of these three elements turned the boutique into a highlight of the famous shopping street.

Many visitors from out of town came specifically, not necessarily to shop, but just to snap a quick picture for their social media.

Jean carefully examined the store's exterior from top to bottom and let out a sigh. "I've heard about Taylor Vogue before, but I've never had the chance to come.

"Now that I see it in person, it really is something else. I wonder who the designer is. This is truly impressive."

Cherise smiled but didn't answer the question. She simply said, Let's go."

"Hey, Cherise, we didn't make a reservation. Do you think we'll be allowed in?" Jean asked.

Cherise turned her head and replied with certainty, "Of course."

a staff member enthusiastically greeted them from behind the glass
