Chapter 1552 Is He The One You Are After
Nathan looked at the pool of blood on the floor before he glanced up at Yale. "You move fast if hewas silenced before I came."
Yale was in trepidation when he saw Nathan for the first time.
But he tried hard to calm himself down.
"General, this guy barged into our room, all covered in blood when we were drinking just now. Hewas armed with a gun, and it seemed that he was being chased by his foe. I shot him because I'mafraid he would hurt us! Is he the man you're looking for?"
Nathan pulled out a chair and sat down. He then looked at Yale indifferently and said, "I know you. You're Boris Tucker's student who was one of the youngest major generals in the East. You wereexpelled due to a serious case of misconduct. You're indeed close with Mr. Tucker. Where did youget the nerve to attempt to kill my daughter and Dr. Torres? Are you above the law now?"
"General. I don't quite get what you mean,” Yale refuted in a deep voice.
"If I've committed a crime, you can arrest me based on the evidence. But if you have none, pleaseexcuse us." Yale wanted to leave as soon as he finished speaking.
However, when his posse and he reached the door, Colin and Ava, together with the special forcesoldiers had no intention to make way forthem.
Yale was agitated as he turned to glare at Nathan.
"Yale, I guess you've misunderstood my intention. Do you really think I can't do anything to youwhen there's no evidence? Well, I guess you're wrong. I don't need any evidence at all. You'redoomed based on what I just said.”
"Nathan, I don't get you," Yale retorted, seemingly provoked.
Nathan replied calmly, "Well, you guys shouldn't have laid a finger on my family, especially mydaughter. My daughter is still lying unconsciously in bed. As a father, it's hard to maintain rationalityin this kind of situation. But if you are willing to attest who is behind all this, maybe I can let you diein a better way."
"How dare you!" Yale was furious.
Nathan waved, gesturing to Colin while saying, "Take him to the private room next door. Torture itout of him to replace out who his boss is."
"Yes, Sir!" Colin answered.
Yale was perturbed and wanted to resist.
But Colin and Ava were quick enough to take him as well as his men down.
They were immediately taken to the private room next door for an interrogation.
Squeals and shrieks could be heard shortly after.
Nathan sat on the chair and was smoking indifferently while the interrogation went on.
After an hour, Colin knocked on the door with his shirt stained with blood.
"General!" Colin lowered his head and whispered.
Nathan looked at him and asked, "What's wrong? Can't get him to say anything?"
"He's not in good shape now. He passed out a few times and is vaguely conscious.
He still did not comply with us... he has just passed away."
"He's indeed the most outstanding general in the East military districts. He was unforthcoming tillthe end and did not betray his master, Boris Tucker," Nathan said coldly.
"A few of his subordinates confessed, but they don't really know the details. It's hard to testifyagainst Mr. Tucker with their testimonials," Colin added.
Nathan was about to say something when his phone rang.
It was Penny.
Penny sounded thrilled as she told Nathan that their daughter was out of danger. Dr. Torres wastreating the other children now, and they would soon be out of danger too.
Nathan felt relieved, and his gaze softened.
He then hung up after briefly speaking to Penny because Colin was still waiting for his order.
"Since their testimonials are not enough to testify against Mr. Tucker, why not just maim them all?Send them along with Yale and Shadow's bodies to Mr. Tucker in Brimmopolis at once."
"Yes, Sir!"
