Salute To The General
Chapter 1820

Chapter 1820

With that, he started counting down slowly.

"One...two..."

Nathan grinned even more broadly. "Three!"

Leaser hadn't even finished counting to three.

He didn't expect Nathan to call out the number on his behalf.

His eyes widened in disbelief as he gazed at Nathan.

As soon as Nathan spoke, Colin, who was right beside him, had moved towards Ceaser like a bolt of lightning.

He pulled out his gun, pointed it straight at Ceaser, and fired it right away.

He had done that in one breath.

Bang!

The sound of a gunshot rang through the room. A blinding pain shot through Ceaser's hand, which was holding his gun. A bullet had gone right through his palm, and it was bleeding horribly.

"Ahh!"

Leaser couldn't help but scream in pain. He loosened his grip on the gun, which clattered noisily onto the ground.

Everyone in the room looked completely shocked. How could Nathan's subordinate have moved so quickly? He had managed to injure Mr. Goldstein before he even had the chance to react.

An excited murmur ran through Corey's friends and subordinates.

Meanwhile, Ceaser's gang looked rather stunned. Realizing that the tables had turned on them, they started to feel a little frightened.

Leaser grabbed his hand, trying to staunch the never-ending flow of blood.

His face was completely white. There was fear and anger in his eyes as he gazed at Nathan.

Glaring at Nathan with rage, Leaser gritted his teeth and said, "You're quite something, aren't

Nathan merely smiled in return. "I warned you just now that we're professionals, and that you're just a novice. Unfortunately, you refused to listen." "Kid, I don't want to waste my breath on you anymore. Hurry home to your parents and go whine to them."

Hearing this, a few people in the room burst into laughter.

Leaser s face was white with rage.

He nodded and said with conviction, “Nathan, I'll remember how you put a bullet through my hand tonight. I'll be sure to return your favor in the future."

With that, he turned around and ordered his friends and subordinates to leave with him.

Nathan stretched out his hand and pulled the injured Corey up from the ground. "Are you alright?" he asked.

Corey wiped the blood off his face hurriedly, dooking rather pathetic He shook his head and thanked Nathan in a low voice. "It's nothing serious. Thanks for helping me out tonight, General. You just saved my life."

"It's my job," Nathan said simply.

As he watched Ceaser leave with his cronies, Corey suddenly pointed at the subordinate with the ponytail and said coldly, "Wait a minute. He has to stay behind."

Hearing this, the subordinate's face turned white as sheet.

Ceaser was nonplussed. "Corey, this guy here is my bodyguard. I cannot leave him behind."

Immediately, Corey bent down to pick up the gun lying on the floor. He pointed it straight at the subordinate and fired it.

The bullet pierced through the subordinate's head instantly. He yelped loudly before collapsing onto the ground, dead.

His blood sprayed all over Ceaser, drenching him in a ghastly red.

Leaser s expression was full of rage.

Corey let out a sigh of relief. He had finally taken his revenge on the man that had injured him tonight.

He turned to Leaser and smiled nastily. "There you go. You can take him with you now."

Leaser gazed expressionlessly at Corey and Nathan for a long time. Without another word, he turned around and left in a huff with his friends and other subordinates.

After Leaser and the others left, Corey and his friends let out a whoop of excitement back in the room.

Things had been looking rather bleak for Young Mr. Lucas when the fight first started.

Once the General showed up, however, he had turned the tables on Mr. Goldstein and helped to preserve Young Mr. Lucas's honor.

Corey turned to Nathan and said cheerfully, "Come on, General. Let's continue with our drinking party."

However, Nathan shook his head. "It's alright."

"It's getting late now, and my wife feels a little tired. I'll go home with her to rest first."

"Besides, Young Mr. Lucas, you've

just been injured. You should go straight to the hospital and have your wounds cleaned up. You ean have your drinking party another night."

Corey had organized tonight's drinking party in order to investigate Nathan's background and get him to officially announce his support for his father's campaign in the

presidential election.

However, too many things had happened tonight, and Corey had been unable to do any of that.

He also knew that his numerous injuries meant he shouldn't drink for the rest of tonight.

Left without a choice, he was forced to agree with Nathan. "Alright, then. If another opportunity comes up, I'll invite you to have drinks with me again."

Nathan smiled. "Okay."

With that, Nathan and Penny left with Colin and the Elite Eight in tow.
