Salute To The General
Chapter 1827

Chapter 1827

Nathan was enjoying his time with Garrett, Zach, and Lucas. What the men didn't know was that at the rooftop of the building next to "Bittersweet Memories" farmhouse restaurant, a bald, strong-built man dressed in black with a barcode image tattooed at the back of his head was assembling a sniper rifle under the moonlight.

There was also an evil-looking dragon head symbol tattooed on the back of his left hand.

That man was Maldragon, the newest King of Assassins in the assassins' world, who was born in Valeview.

Maldragon grew up in a complicated environment in Valeview and received training in North Koandria and South Koandria thereafter. He was already known to be a formidable and ruthless assassin in both North Koandria and South Koandria ten years back. It was only recently that he made a name for himself globally.

Maldragon had been more active in Ospea in recent years.

The only reason he appeared in Eurasia was because of a mission which paid extremely well and that was to kill Nathan.

Nathan had enemies all over the globe and there were many people who wanted him to die. There were also countless people who attempted to take his life over the years.

However, be it mercenaries or assassins, as long as they stepped foot in Eurasia, none of them managed to return back to where they came from. As such, fewer and fewer killers were willing to take on missions that required them to get rid of Nathan.

However, the reward for killing Nathan grew increasingly handsome year after year.

Just the previous night, the Goldstein family had put up a reward for killing Nathan on the most established website for assassination jobs. The bounty for getting rid of Nathan was so high that a new record was set.

Assassins all over the world were extremely tempted by the handsome reward and everyone was after it. Besides, the one who eventually managed to kill Nathan, Eurasia's God of War, would definitely make a name for himself globally and become a legend in the assassins' world.

However, even though they desired the handsome reward, most ordinary assassins were aware of where they stood and knew that it was impossible for them to kill Nathan. As such, no one dared to take such a huge risk.

However, that did not apply to Maldragon.

He chose to become a killer because he enjoyed the satisfaction and excitement he felt when he killed famous or powerful people, including those insufferable wealthy bosses of major corporations, military big shots, and political high-flyers.

Maldragon felt a huge sense of accomplishment whenever he listened to the agonizing cries of those people of high status. It was as if he was a God who controlled their destinies. He became obsessed with that feeling.

Killing wealthy and influential people over the world was also how he became the newest King of Assassins and also why he had taken on the mission to kill Eurasia's God of War.

Up on the rooftop, the wind was blowing mercilessly. With the illumination of the cold moonlight, Maldragon assembled the sniper rifle swiftly and accurately as he was well-trained in assembling and handling weapons. To him, it was merely muscle memory.

It didn't take long for him to finish assembling the weapon.

He planted his feet firmly on the rough ground at the rooftop and stood up straight. Holding the sniper rifle parallel to the ground, he aimed at the farmhouse restaurant across the street, where he could vaguely identify Nathan's figure through one of the windows.

It was a golden opportunity!

Maldragon looked through the scope of his sniper rifle and after making adjustments steadily, in fractions of an inch, he aimed the rifle at Nathan's head.

From the angle he was currently at, he could see the left side of Nathan's face very clearly and locked his aim at Nathan's left temple.

Maldragon did not fire the shot

immediately as the wind was too strong. He needed to take into account the speed and direction the wind and make further

Wind

adjustments to the angle of belie

sniper rifle in order to fire an

accurate shot. He had to ensure that he got it right on the first attempt.

"It's deviating to the right by twenty-five degrees currently. I need to point it towards the left a little," Maldragon muttered to himself. Finally, he managed to calculate the perfect angle for the shot.

After making the necessary slight adjustments, the assassin placed his right index finger on the trigger and had a sneer on his face. Eurasia's God of War, get ready to die!

Just when Maldragon was about to pull the trigger, Nathan, who was enjoying the drinks and catching up with his friends, suddenly sensed that something was wrong. With all those years of experience on the battlefield and brushing shoulders with death countless times Nathan's sixth sense was

well-trained and his body seemed to react whenever something wasn't

right.

At that moment when Maldragon was intending to pull the trigger, Nathan sensed danger.

Without warning, Nathan suddenly swiveled around and stared out of the window with a look as sharp as an eagle's.
