Salute To The General
Chapter 1834

Chapter 1834

Gillian and Ceaser were overjoyed at Clifford's invitation.

Ever since Gillian divorced Clifford, she had never stepped into the Davier residence.

As for Ceaser, he maintained his surname as Goldstein and wasn't allowed to acknowledge his paternal roots.

Now that Clifford invited them to the Davier residence for dinner and also offered to cook, it was a sign that he treated them as family and had the intention of reuniting with them.

Prior to this, Gillian and Clifford divorced because of all the conflicts they had due to her bad temper.

Despite being separated, her heart still belonged to Clifford and deep down, she had never stopped fantasizing about getting back together with him. However, she didn't expect that this day would actually come.

At that moment, tears streamed down her face.

As for Ceaser, he was dying to be acknowledged by the paternal side of his family.

Therefore, both of them felt extremely grateful when they heard Clifford's words.

Taking out a handkerchief, Clifford helped Gillian to wipe off her tears. He consoled her with a smile, "Stop crying. Going forward, everything will be fine for our family."

Still sobbing, Gillian nodded with a smile. “Alright!”

As Clifford was a busy man, he hurriedly left after settling on a time for dinner tomorrow.

In the ward, only Gillian and Ceaser remained.

As Gillian looked forward to reuniting with her ex-husband, Ceaser waited in anticipation to be recognized by his paternal family. In the future, he would officially be considered a son of the Davier family.

More importantly, if Clifford became the President, their status would also be further elevated.

At that moment, the prospects for both mother and son's future were bright.

However, little did they know that a plot was being hatched against their family at that very instance.

Meanwhile, in Brimmopolis, Corey and his subordinates were sipping tea grudgingly inside an old teahouse.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of their private room.

Corey grunted, "Come in!"

The next moment, a fat middle-aged man with a glowing smile appeared in front of him.

"Dear sirs, sorry to have kept you waiting. I am humbly known as Highlife."

Corey stared at the fat man with interest, wondering if he was the regional contact person of the legendary assassin organization known as the "Phantom Killers".

From his appearance, the fat man looked more like a rich businessman than someone who was

in the business of assassinations.

Squinting his eyes, Corey asked, "Are you the local contact person for the Phantom Killers?"

Laughing aloud, Highlife replied, "That's right. I'm happy to be of service."

Corey continued, "I heard that the Phantom Killers are the most mysterious assassin organization the world has ever known and also one that keeps an extremely low profile. You not only have the best assassins but also keep the identity of your employers a secret. No matter the circumstance you will never betray your employer, am I right?"

Highlife answered with a grin, "That is the reason why our organization has survived hundreds of years and we are the best at what we do."

Corey nodded, "Naturally, I know

how good you are before deciding to

contact you: The reason I got in touch is that I need you to kill

someone for me. However, I'm not sure if you are brave enough to take the job." Narugi.Org

Highlife smiled. "There's no job too big for us and there's no one we dare not kill: I hope that you are prepared for the fact that the price increases with the difficulty of the mission and the importance of the target.”

Corey laughed. "Very well. The person I want dead is the son of the Goldstein family of Brimmopolis, Ceaser Goldstein."

Highlife widened his eyes in surprise. "Ceaser Goldstein? Son of Eurasia's Cab secretary Clifford Davier who was borne by his ex-wife?" Corey furrowed his eyebrows. "What's wrong?

Do you not dare take the job?"

Highlife chuckled. "Not that we don't have the guts, but the price is high... Erm, I should say sky high."

Corey grimly remarked, "The price does matter. But you, the Phantom Killers, have to execute it beautifully and not leave any tracks behind."
