Salute To The General
Chapter 1982

Chapter 1982

In Channing, at the Riverside Garden, Nathan was with Penny, Kylie, Benson, and Leah.

Together with his daughter, Queenie, they were having dinner.

Smiling, Nathan asked his daughter, "Queenie, how are you settling in school? Are you doing okay?"

It turned out that Nathan and Penny had recently transferred Queenie to a new school -Tulip Elementary.

They did so because everyone, including the students' parents at her previous school, knew about Queenies' identity.

They knew that her father was the General of the North, while her mother was the chairman of the top pharmaceutical company in the nation. Therefore, to them, Queenie was someone of influence and wealth.

As such, the principal and teachers would always favor her, and her classmates tried all ways to please her.

Even when the parents came to school, they were always extra polite to Penny, and some even stuffed gifts into Queenie's bag. They wanted Queenie to bring it to her parents so they could become friends with Nathan and Penny.

Thus, it had a negative impact on the children, and it wasn't only Queenie but her schoolmates as well.

In regards to that, Nathan and Penny decided to transfer their daughter to another school after some consideration.

They decided on Tulip Elementary - an ordinary school in Channing.

Only the principal knew about Queenie's background there, while the teachers and students were still kept in the dark.

To ensure that it stayed that way, Nathan purposely stated that he was a security guard and Penny was a factory assembly line worker, clearly indicating that Queenie was poor.

He even chose to ride a scooter to send his child to and from school so she could blend in with the rest of the students.

His ultimate goal was to allow her to study at ease, like any other ordinary student there. After all, she should have the right to learn, make mistakes and make up for them without any privileges given.

In response to her father's question, Queenie giggled. "Other than a few classmates who laugh at me for being poor, everyone was friendly to me, which made me feel very comfortable."

Nathan caressed the young girl's head with a bright grin. "That's good to hear. Ignore those classmates who mock you for being poor, okay?"

In a serious tone, Queenie asked, "Papa, what if they continue to tease me for it?"

Kylie fiercely interrupted, "The next time they ridicule you, I will drive your father's Pagani Zonda to your school to pick you up. We shall see who gets the last laugh then!"

As soon as Kylie finished, Nathan shot her a look, and the former did not dare to utter another word.

Penny, Benson, and Leah also criticized, "Kylie, how could you say that!"

Although Kylie was fearless in front of Penny, she was afraid of Nathan. Thus, she muttered under her breath, "I was just joking."

Ignoring Kylie's response, Nathan

put his fork down and turned to his child. He advised, "Queenie, I'll tell you what you can do. If anyone boasts about their wealth and

laughs at you, tell them that the

school is for learning. One should compare their grades instead of wealth. And if they're still upset, they can compete to see who scores better for the next exam."

Since Queenie had been studying hard, her grades had always been good.

After she heard her father's advice, her eyes lit up, and she cheered, "Papa, you are so smart! I'll do that!"

The rest of the adults glanced at Nathan with a meaningful smile. They felt that he was teaching his daughter well.

However, what they did not expect was getting a call from the school the next day.

The teacher rang up Nathan to tell him that Queenie punched someone for mocking her for being poor. As a result, the parent of the other student was kicking up a fuss.

As Queenie's parents, the teacher wanted them to deal with the situation.

When Nathan and Penny heard about it, they exchanged looks. Didn't we tell her to compare grades?
