Salute To The General
Chapter 2008

Chapter 2008

Affect his combat abilities?

Laurence exchanged glances with his employees. Does this man live on the battlefield to be thinking of fighting all the time?

“Nathan, this really looks good on you. It's a suit worthy of you." Kylie smiled in approval. "Of course your attire for piano playing would be different from your military uniform. It's settled. Let's get this set then. It's perfect on you."

She called for the bill and implored that Nathan remained dressed the Black Swan for the rest of the day for her admiration. He really looked incredibly dashing.

Nathan was thoroughly amused by that.

As they were paying, a well-groomed young man in a smart white shirt entered, flanked with two bodyguards.

He caught sight of Kylie and couldn't tear his eyes away from her, captivated by her innocent beauty.

He ogled as she paid the bill.

But only suits for men were sold here.It must be something for her boyfriend.

The young man's gaze fell onto Nathan, who was beside her. Examining his powerful posture and his chiseled features, he couldn't help feeling a surge of jealousy.

What kind of a man makes his woman pay for him? Poor girl. Just because he has a pretty face.

The young man rolled his eyes and approached Kylie. "Miss," he addressed her with a smile. "You are too beautiful to be paying for a useless man like that."

"If you are willing, there are plenty of other fishes in the sea, such as yours truly." He bowed. Paying for a useless man?

Nathan and Kylie exchanged stunned glances.

Kylie works for Nathan in Cross Group. Her salary was determined by Nathan and his wife.

Their combined assets number in the hundred billions.

The last thing Nathan needed was a woman, or anybody, to pay for him.

Though the price of the Black Swan was steep, it is a tiny cost for him and Kylie.

For them, paying for a suit is like a commoner paying for a cup of tea.

Nathan and Kylie could not believe that the simple act of her paying for his suit could be construed as Nathan being a useless man being reared by a

woman.

"Who are you?" Kylie demanded.

He smoothed his hair as he hastened to introduce himself. "My name is Raida, of the Khaiden family from the West."

"So you are the famous young Mr. Khaiden?" Kylie asked.

"Oh, and for future reference, don't call somebody useless when you're meeting them for the first time. Take a look in the mirror instead. Your greasy hair and powdered face make you look effeminate." Kylie turned away from him.

Effeminate!

Raida turned red with shock and anger. "How dare you?"

"Let's go, Nathan." Kylie pulled at his arm.

"People like this are not worth our time," she said as they departed the store.

Raida was shaking with rage. "Stupid b*tch," he muttered. "Don't let me get hold of you. You'll regret it."

Nathan and Kylie ran into Sophia Davier and her men outside of the store.

Sophia recognized Nathan and identified him as the mortal enemy of the Davier family.

Her expression icy cold, she met Nathan's gaze with hostility.

Nathan noticed and was just

wondering who this woman was and

why she seemed to hate him so when he noticed the badges on the men behind her.

This woman is a Davier. Her men all wear that emblem. That explains her hateful stare.

He ignored her, and drove away with Kylie.

Meanwhile, Sophia was anxious to meet with the Chief Military Governor.

She had more important matters to attend to.

Casting Nathan from her mind, she led her men into Walker's Suits.

There was only one customer within. It was Raida.

It has to be him. The Chief Military Governor of Eurasia.

Sophia caught his eye and smiled warmly.
