Salute To The General -
Chapter 2012
Chapter 2012
Raida did not expect Nathan to be this skilled.
"You stay where you are," he yelled in panic.
"Don't come any closer. If you lay a finger on me, I promise you'll regret it."
The Khaiden family carries a lot of influence in the West.
Wherever he went within the West, he was always met favorably by people from all walks of life, regardless of rank and social status. But at this moment, Raida was under duress. He intended to intimidate the approaching Nathan with his family's power to save himself.
"I really have no idea who you are," Nathan smiled. “But it makes no matter to me. You are worth nothing in my eyes."
Worth nothing?Good God! He's insanelWho does he think he is?
Raida's knees shook when he saw how close Nathan got. He knew instinctively that he was about to receive a severe beating.
Close to losing his wits, he was about to blurt out the truth about his family as a last measure of desperation.
Before the words were out of his mouth, Sophia came to his rescue. "Nathan Cross," she called out. "Don't you dare touch him. Do you think you can do whatever you want with no consequences? Do you know who this man before you is?"
"You're about to assault the Chief Military Governor of Eurasia, Raida Khaiden!"
Nathan was speechless with surprise.
Chief Military Governor?Who told her that? That is ridiculous!
Sophia caught sight of Nathan's startled expression and mistook it for fear.
"Aha!" Sophia chortled with laughter. "You did not expect that, didn't you? The Chief Military Governor in the flesh! The leader and commander of the entire military fleet in the country!"
"He has millions of men at his disposal. By insulting him, you have signed your own death warrant." She smiled with satisfaction.
Raida was just as bewildered as Nathan. He was about to use his family name to get out of being attacked, and all of a sudden Sophia calls him the Chief Military Governor.
Is this a misunderstanding? Or is this a bluff to get
Nathan to back off?n was indeed possible.
His main priority right now is to get out of the predicament he's in.
Raida took a deep breath. "That's right, I am the Chief Military Governor." He tried to sound as stern as he could. "Nathan, I'd advise you not to do this. If even a hair of mine is harmed, your family will be extinct. You should know, this is an easy feat for someone in my position."
"You are the Chief Military Governor?" Nathan asked with amusement. "You want to extinguish my family?"
"That's right, I do," Raida answered. "If you kneel down in front of me right now and ask for forgiveness, I may consider letting you off the hook this time."
Sophia's bodyguards surrounded Raida in
support.
"Did you hear what the Chief Military Governor said?" Sophia said. "Kneel now."
"He's not worthy," Nathan said with a smile. "It's more appropriate that he kneels for me."
He placed his left hand on Raida's shoulder and applied the tiniest of pressures.
Raida buckled as though Nathan's hand weighed more than a mountain.
His knees slammed into the floor with a heavy thud. His pants were torn at the knees and fresh blood poured out onto the floor. His eyes watered in pain.
Nathan was still fuming. With Raida.
on his knees, he slapped him in the face repeatedly, one resounding slap after another. The claps sounded like grotesque applause. Raida was limp and his face was cover. blood.
Sophia did not believe what she was seeing. Her jaw dropped open in shock. Nathan," she called, in a
trembly voice. "You have a lot of nerve to attack the Chief Military Governor like that."
