Salute To The General
Chapter 2085

Chapter 2085

Shae stared hopelessly at Nathan. Things were beginning to fall into place for her.

So that was why Penny spent the night in the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor. She is the wife of the Chief Military Governor That explains why Nathan wasn't flustered at all when he told them he will kill every single one of them, and even dared to threaten the Daviers. She thought that they were just harmless threats and curses, never for a second expecting it to be real.

Shae finally understood why the Chief Military Governor kept rejecting the Daviers' offer for marriage.

Because the Chief Military Governor was Nathan! It's a shame that she found this out too late.

She looked over to Nathan's cold and calm demeanor, and over his shoulders at the amount of gunpower wielded by the masked and brutal Felidae Battalion.

Like her soul, her knees buckled. She crumbled and fell on her knees with a thud at Nathan's feet.

"Chief Military Governor," Shae gazed up at Nathan's face and said in a trembling voice. "Forgive me, I have done wrong. Please give me a chance to repent."

Bobby and the Death Reapers regained their wits.

They are silently cursing Shae for involving them in these hot waters. Why would Shae Davier pick a fight with someone who turned out to be the Chief Military Governor Doesn't she know the Chief Military Governor has the entire military at Eurasia at his disposal? Don't get us involved even

if you're feeling suicidal!

Bobby knelt in front of Nathan as well. "Chief Military Governor, I was merely the instrument to carry out the Daviers' demands. I wouldn't have participated in offending you if I was aware of your true identity."

"My only crime was my ignorance. Please, sir, give us one more chance. We would do anything to repay your mercy.

"If every crime goes unpunished," Nathan said softly, "We would have no need for the law and things like the death penalty."

Bobby and Shae exchanged desperate glances.

"If I am not the Chief Military Governor, I'm afraid that my honorary title of General wouldn't be enough to prevent me and my wife from taking your place and being on our knees. If that had

happened, would you have shown us mercy?"

Shae and Bobby wanted to say yes, but they faltered under Nathan's prating gaze.

They couldn't even convince themselves, much less someone else.

"Tell me why I should show you mercy when clearly you wouldn't have done the same to me."

They turned red in shame, incapable of defending themselves.

As did the remaining assassins, their faces turned grave.

The crimes they've accumulated ranged from robbery to murder. If every single crime was accounted for, they knew that they wouldn't stand a chance if the Chief Military Governor wished to prosecute them.

"Sir, how would you like these people to be handled?" Sage asked Nathan. "And the Davier girl. What do we do?"

Nathan bent down to pick up his unconscious wife. "Gun them all down," Nathan said quietly, without a shred of compassion. Make this a lesson to all who wish to challenge me"

"And as for the Daviers, we'll deal with them later."

"Yes sir!" Sage saluted.

The assassins and their employers wept hopelessly at Nathan's words.

Nathan wasn't moved. He was calloused to worse emotions than this.

They have crossed the line and had to pay the price.

The Daviers were becoming more and more brazen. Hence, he decided that they would have to be subdued with drastic measures, in order to crush their rebellion once and for all. He gave the order to massacre every single one of them, then picked up Penny and departed.

The Felidae Battalion raised their rifles and forced the Death Reapers into a tight circle.
