Salute To The General
Chapter 2150

Chapter 2150

After arriving at Riverside Garden, Sean parted ways with Nathan and the others and made for home. As for Colin, Ava, and the other bodyguards, they made themselves scarce and left the family to themselves.

By the time everyone was gone, it was only Nathan, Penny, Kylie, Benson, and Leah in the living room.

"Kylie, could you bring Queenie out for a while?" Nathan asked.

Kylie nodded and quickly brought the girl out to the playground.

Everyone in the living room fell into silence after they left.

Before long, Benson finally spoke. "I'm sorry,

Penn. We shouldn't have kept it from you. We didn't let you know earlier because we're afraid you might leave us if you replace out we're not your real parents. Could you forgive us for being so selfish?"

Penny shook her head lightly as she tried to swallow back her tears. "I will never blame y'all for it. To be honest, I'm grateful to the both of you for bringing me up and being such loving parents even when y'all know I'm not your daughter."

Leah wiped away the tears in her eyes and put her hands on her daughter's shoulders. "We won't stop you if you want to go back to the Camdens. They have so much more to offer. You will be able to live to your full potential if you join them. You can still come home and see us when you're free. We will be happy for you. After all, Bowen is your biological father..."

Penny shook her head in determination. "No. I will never leave y'all. I don't want to go to the Camdens. This is my home, and both of you are my parents. I don't care if y'all are my biological parents or not. Both of you took care of me for my whole life, and I won't leave unless y'all chase me away.

Benson and Leah were moved to tears. They pulled Penny into their arms and patted her on her head. "We will never ask you to leave."

A warm smile curved on Nathan's lips as he looked at the family. "It's a relief to finally talk everything out. I agree with what Penny said. Both of you took care of her and loved her as your own. I'm her husband, so you both will also be my parents."

The two felt a rush of emotions at Nathan's comforting words.

"But I'm sure Bowen will still send someone over to bring Penny back to the family. After all, she's one of the Camdens," Leah remarked on second thought.

"Don't worry. I won't allow that to happen unless Penny is willing to go back. I've already warned them that I won't show mercy if they insist on bringing her back," Nathan assured her.

Far away in Ospea, a plump middle-aged man was sitting upright in his chair in the study.

He was smartly dressed, with his

hair neatly slicked back. His gaze darted attentively across the lines on The Times as he reached for an elegant cup on his study table for some black tea. As the owner of a resplendent castle in a vast estate overlooking some one thousand acres, Bowen Camden enjoyed a lavish and

courtly life.

In front of him was a debonair young man in tails, who was looking at him respectfully.

"So, any updates from Damien?" the middle-aged man finally spoke.

"It didn't turn out well, Sir," the man in tailcoat replied courteously. "Not only did he fail to bring Ms. Camden

back, but all his men were aden

injured. They even broke his legs."

Bowen let down the magazine in his hand and looked up. "Who did this to him?"

"Ms. Camden's husband, Nathan Cross. He was commander-in-chief in the army, and people call him the God of War. He even has a message for you, Sir."

Bowen lifted his brows in surprise. "Interesting.

What does he have to say?"

"He said he will kill anyone who goes near Ms. Camden, and that she will not return to the family unless she wants to," the young man replied accordingly.

"A conceited fool," Bowen remarked with slight dismay in his voice.

"Wilmer, bring some men with you to

Eurasia. I want you to bring Ms. Camden home. Also, bring me Nathan Cross' head on a platter. It's time to change the deer head decor

in my study. The head of the cor

of

War will be a good substitute."

"I'll see to it right away, Sir. I will bring Ms. Camden back, along with Nathan's head."

"I'm counting on you," Bowen said, waving his hand dismissively. With a bow, Wilmer left and carried out Bowen's order.
