A bunch of fierce Ferropene warriors exuding murderous aura had Nathan surrounded.

A few of Reno's subordinates rushed over to help him up as well. They seemed nervous when they asked, "General, are you alright?"

Reno shook his head to clear his mind. It took him a while before his vision reverted to its usual self.

He touched his bloated and bleeding face, and fury rose in him. He roared angrily, "What are you waiting for? Attack! Take them down."

Colin and the Elite Eight stepped forward in sync

and warned, "Don't you dare!"

Catherine had come back around from her shock. Moments ago, she was secretly complaining about how Nathan might be too polite, but Nathan surprised her by suddenly slapping Reno hard across his face.

Catherine secretly admired him for that.

She saw how Reno was losing his temper, so she stepped up with her National Guard and warned sternly, "Reno, you are the one who started this whole thing when you insulted us. You had it coming, and Mr. Cross was just teaching you a lesson. If you insist on going after him, then you will have to get past me first."

Reno glared at Catherine in disbelief. He was furious and surprised at the same time.

Just then, the tall and ferocious Simone showed up with a bunch of his subordinates.

Simone stared at the two parties at odds before demanding, "What is it this time?"

His eyes glowed with curiosity and suspicion when he said those words.

He was curious about why Catherine was standing beside Nathan and why Catherine was on the verge of fighting against Reno.

Catherine didn't stand aside or wait around for the men to speak up. She took the initiative to tell Simone everything.

After that, she looked right into Simone's eyes and requested, "Reno had it coming, Simone. I pray that he will learn not to overstep and stop making a fool of himself."

Hence, he was not pleased to see his own people fighting amongst themselves. To make matters worse, both Reno and Catherine held important posts.

Simone's influence was unquestionable, and even someone as arrogant as Reno had to lower his stance in Simone's presence.

Seeing that prompted Simone to instruct,

"Alright, we're putting an end to this. You guys can compete on the stage tomorrow and fight then."

Nathan shrugged and left before anyone else did.

Catherine followed him with her National Guards beside her.

The only ones left in the spacious hall were Simone, Reno, and Nakajima.

Nakajima stared at Catherine's back and frowned while commenting, "Why is the Duchess hanging out with Nathan?"

Reno growled bitterly, “I will make them both pay for this, eventually.”

Simone tapped on Reno's shoulder and claimed, "Calm down. Catherine will see how powerful you are once you beat Nathan, and she will fall for you then."

Reno clenched his fist and declared, "I will destroy that punk, Nathan!"

Simone grinned and promised, "That'll happen soon. We already have everything set up.

Nakajima asked in a worried tone, "Simone, will things spin out of control if we kill Nathan off?"

"Nathan has lost all his power in Eurasia. Heds no longer the Commander-In-Chief of the North Army and is nothing but an obsolete God of War. Eurasia won't come after us just for killing Nathan. Besides, it's not like they can simultaneously fight against hundreds of countries, anyway."

Nakajima and the others laughed aloud at that. "You're right. That is not possible, so Nathan will definitely die tomorrow."
