Salute To The General
Chapter 2233

In the overseas mansion owned by the Camden family.

The head of the family, Bowen Camden, was inside the beautiful study room and was throwing a tantrum.

His son, Easton, went to Eurasia but failed to teach Nathan a lesson. To make matters worse, Nathan had broken both of Easton's legs and forced the family to pay a huge ransom. Only then were they able to take Easton back to Eagleland.

Infuriated, Bowen roared, "That punk Nathan had humiliated the Camden family. I must get him back for this!

"Federick, come here."

"I'm here, Sir," replied Federick as he hurried over.

Bowen grimly commanded, "Assign a bunch of fighting experts over right now! I will be heading to Eurasia in person, and I'd like to see if Penny actually has the guts to ignore me.

"I will also punish Nathan and show him the consequences of making an enemy out of the Camden family!"

Federick replied, "Understood. I will go work on it right away."

In Brimmopolis in Eurasia.

Nathan taught the Blackwell clan a lesson, then warned Carlton and the others. No one was allowed to leak the secret that he was the Chief Military Governor. If they did, they would be deemed an enemy of the country and would be punished accordingly.

That news frightened Carlton and his men so much that they promised to keep the secret to themselves.

Nathan wore his phoenix military coat and his Leviathan mask for the next few days because he had to attend a national conference with the President and the Cabinet.

It took some time, but the conference concluded well, and Nathan could finally relax.

That afternoon, Nathan rested in his office at the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor and worked on some documents.

That was when Colin knocked on the door and entered the office.

Nathan turned to Colin and calmly asked, "What is it? What do you have with you?"

Colin politely placed a stack of documents on Nathan's desk and reported, "This is a list of all the soldiers that had sacrificed their lives for the North Army.

"The country has given their family members some financial aid, but I recently learned that some of them still have difficulty making ends meet.

"Hence, I am wondering if we should apply for some extra financial aid on their behalf to alleviate their burden."

Nathan put away the document he had with him and picked up the ones Colin had just delivered. The former began reading right away.

Nathan had been with the North Army for five years, and he rose from a foot soldier to the Commander-In-Chief of the North Army. Hence, it was not a stretch to say that he knew everyone in the army.

Nathan had an incredible memory, so when he read the list of names, his mind showed him the smiles of all of his fallen comrades.

Countless memories flooded Nathan's mind, and he could almost see everything as though his memories were a movie playing right in front of him.

His eyes turned watery when he saw how difficult life had been for his friends' families.

That prompted him to wipe his tears away discreetly before tilting his head up and calmly replying, "I have finished reading everything. I didn't realize that our men's family was leading such harsh lives, and that is a negligence of my duty.

"You mentioned something about applying for financial aid, butthat's not necessary. The country's economy isn't doing well now.

"Hence, my wife and I will bear the cost of helping these families out.

"I will talk to Penny later and ask her to get some money together to set up a charity organization. It will send yearly financial aid to the family members of all fallen soldiers.

"Some people feel uncomfortable with accepting help from strangers, so lie to them and tell them that the money is from the government. That should make it easier for them to accept the money." "Understood. I will go work on it right away," replied Colin excitedly.

Nathan called Penny soon after. The latter didn't hesitate to get ten billion together. She did as Nathan asked and set up a charity organization right away.

Colin worked efficiently as well. He arranged the information and set everything up quickly.

After that, Nathan left with Colin and the employee from the charity organization. They offered their condolences to the fallen soldiers' families that were living in Brimmopolis.

They finished visiting everyone when the night fell, and as Nathan was making his way back to the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor, he felt thirsty. He looked out the window and saw a stall selling juice, so he

asked Colin to stop the car.

The Jeep stopped at the side of the road.

A merchant in a plain outfit and a towel on his shoulder was sweating profusely. As he dragged his crippled foot to the stall, he smiled and said, "Hello, Sir. Would you like a drink? I made everything myself, and it tastes fantastic. Plus, it's cheap."

When the merchant finished talking, he shifted his attention to Nathan. Seeing that face got the former to tremble as though he was struck by lightning. A complex emotion shone from his eyes.

Nathan didn't notice anything off with the merchant, though. He simply grinned and said, "Please get each of us a bottle, then."

The merchant came around upon hearing that. He quickly tilted his head down and avoided Nathan's gaze. His voice also quivered a little when he replied, "Alright."

It didn't take long before the merchant rushed to open a few bottles up and handed them to Nathan. After that, the merchant got up and pushed his cart to leave. It was as if he was afraid that they would ask to see his business permit.

Nathan saw the way the merchant moved with his crippled leg and noted how skinny the guy was. A familiar face showed up in Nathan's mind and surprised him to his core.

"Hey, we haven't paid yet, so why are you in such a hurry to leave? It's not like we're asking to see your permit," shouted Colin.

To his surprise, the merchant reacted by moving even faster. The latter dragged his crippled leg, pushed his cart, and moved as quickly as possible. Something is off.

Colin and the Elite Eight turned to one another.

Nathan solemnly asked, "Does that merchant remind you of anyone?"

Colin and the others were taken aback. Who is he talking about?

They instinctively turned to the merchant once more. Then, Colin's eyes suddenly bulged, and he said, "It's Little Amos!"
