Salute To The General -
Chapter 2239
Immediately, Deckard's and his men's attention shifted to Nathan.
Still holding Amelia, Deckard narrowed his eyes annoyedly at the man. "And who the heck is this guy, Amelia?"
"Who knows. Probably another one of Amos' useless friends," answered Amelia with a nonchalant shrug. Useless friends? Amos got even more upset when he heard his girlfriend. "Don't you disrespect my friends!"
"It's bad enough that I had to look at a useless man like you every single day. Now you're bringing more of your kind to our house? You're unbelievable, Amos. You and your friends are nothing but a bunch of losers. Luckily, I met Mr. Camden. If I were to marry you, I would have to suffer for the rest of my life."
Amos got so furious that he was at a complete loss for words.
Widening his eyes at Amelia, Amos could not believe how gentle she used to be back when she was blind. She seemed to have become an entirely different person after regaining her eyesight. "Amelia, we're only here to warn him not to disturb you again, and I think we've already done that. Now let's get out of here. I have reserved a table at the most expensive restaurant in town, remember?" reminded Deckard impatiently.
Amelia rested her head on the man's shoulder before replying, "Of course, Mr. Camden. We'll leave now. Like you, I would rather not spend another second in this godforsaken place."
Deckard was about to gesture for his bodyguards to escort them out when Nathan exclaimed, "Wait!"
"What do you want, boy?" questioned Deckard coldly while scowling at Nathan.
"Amelia, Amos spent all his savings to pay for your surgery just so you could see again. He even put in the effort so that you could have a decent wedding. Everything your boyfriend had, he gave it all to you, and this is how you repay him? By sleeping with another man and humiliating him in front of his friends? And now you're just going to walk away as if he meant nothing to you?"
Even though what Nathan said upset her, Amelia would rather not go against the man directly, so she turned to pout at Deckard. "Say something, Mr. Camden."
Glaring at Nathan, Deckard threatened, "If I were you, boy, I would mind my own business. I'm not someone you'd want to mess with. Do you get me? If I wanted, I could have you kneel before me anytime." "That's funny. I was about to say the same thing to you," retorted Nathan calmly.
In response, Deckard and his men froze for a brief moment before bursting out in laughter as though they had heard the funniest joke ever.
They laughed so hard that tears were coming out of their eyes.
"Let me tell you. That is the funniest thing I've ever heard. Do you have any idea who I am? I'm the general manager at Hex Incorporated. My mother is the chairperson of the company, and my father is a police commissioner. Yet, you somehow think you can make me kneel before you? I could have my men break both your legs for saying something so disrespectful!"
"Is that so? I'd love to see you try," stated Nathan indifferently.
Scoffing, Deckard called out to one of his men, "Claude!"
As the leader of the bodyguards, Claude then gestured for the other men to follow him as he made his way over to Nathan, intending to get physical with him.
However, Nathan did not seem intimidated at all by the bodyguards because he was confident that Colin and the others would stop them.
Pow!
To Nathan's surprise, Amos was the first to dash forward and throw an uppercut punch to Claude's chin, knocking the lights out of the man.
Pow! Pow! Pow!
Like an enraged bull, Amos charged at Deckard's men and started a slugfest. Amos unleashed his fury upon the bodyguards as though he had been possessed by a demon, and soon, they all ended up unconscious in a pool of blood.
Deckard and Amelia were shocked to the core when they witnessed the savagery on display.
