Salute To The General -
Chapter 2305
"Who are you?" demanded Tetsuo while staring at those strangers.
Kristoff acted as though he was the owner of the place. He picked up a bottle of red wine from the cabinet and poured himself a glass before sitting down gracefully. He sipped some wine before smiling at Tetsuo and saying, "My identity is not important. What's important is I can kill Nathan Cross for you. On top of that, I can help you destroy all those Eurasians and reclaim everything you lost. I can also destroy the War Dragon Chamber and hand their territories over to you." Tetsuo was delighted to hear that.
His joy didn't last long, though. Seconds later, he became depressed once more and shook his head. "The entire Dagger Gang isn't strong enough to fight against Nathan Cross and the War Dragon Chamber, so what can the few of you do? There's no way you guys are a match against them." Kristoff chuckled and pointed out, "All of your subordinates left, and you are penniless. Do you honestly think you have another choice?"
Tetsuo gritted his teeth. "Well, at least give me a reason to trust you. I may be left with nothing, but I can at least survive if I am good and sell off all of my assets to pay Nathan off. Hence, why would I go after Nathan with a bunch of strangers I know nothing about? That will just buy me a oneway ticket to hell."
Kristoff smiled and turned to the Monk and the Priest. "I guess Mr. Fujiwara doesn't trust our skills. Please show him what you can do to ease his mind."
The Monk said nothing after receiving his orders, but he stomped on the ground.
Boom!
A thundering noise sounded, and the ground shook.
With the Monk at its center, the ground within a ten-meter radius was cracked.
Tetsuo's jaw dropped instantly. Oh my gosh! This guy is so much more powerful than Sorateru was.
He turned to the Priest after that and wondered if he could ask the latter to show off his skills as well.
Unfortunately, he never had the chance to ask anything. He felt electricity jolting through his entire body as soon as his gaze met the Priest's. Tetsuo felt as though he had lost all control of his body. "Kneel!"
The Priest's voice echoed in his mind.
To Tetsuo's surprise, he instinctively kneeled in front of the Priest. He had no control whatsoever.
Just then, Kristoff, who had been gracefully sipping wine on his chair, asked, "So what do you think, Mr. Fujiwara? Did my men impress you?"
The Priest shifted his gaze at that moment.
Tetsuo's body trembled, and he finally regained control of his body.
He was pleasantly surprised and praised, "That is so amazing. Yes, I trust you. May I know what your name is?"
Kristoff replied, "I am Kristoff Young."
Tetsuo's eyes scanned the place before he cautiously asked, "Mr. Young, may I know why you'd help me destroy those Eurasians? I'm guessing your help isn't for free, so what will I need to do?"
Kristoff calmly replied, "Nathan Cross is our enemy, and my men don't know this place well. That is why a local like you will be an asset to us. You can offer valuable information about this place, and that will give us an advantage when we go after Nathan." Tetsuo was ecstatic to learn that he didn't need to pay a hefty price. He tapped his chest right away and promised, "Don't worry, Mr. Young. I will do everything I can to help you destroy Nathan and his team."
Meanwhile, inside the brewery, Nathan, Penny, Colin, and Ava were sitting together and enjoying their wine when Tim joined them.
Tim whispered, "Mr. Cross, Tetsuo has paid two hundred million for now and will hand over the remaining three hundred million in three days after he sells off all of his assets."
Nathan grinned and replied, "You don't need to report to me about minor issues like these. Also, you should disband the War Dragon Chamber soon. Sell whatever asset you have and come back to our country with me. You can work for the team again." Tim hesitated after hearing that.
Nathan asked, "What's wrong? Can't let go of this life?"
Tim answered, "That's not it at all. It's just... Well, the fortune teller said that I am destined to be alone and will bring death to everyone around me. I do not want to go back with you because I worry I will bring misfortune to you."
Nathan chuckled and asked, "Do you know why I dealt with Sorateru in person?"
Tim replied, "It's because he was pretty powerful and was rude to Mrs. Cross."
Nathan answered, "Those are just two of the reasons I did that. The other more important reason was that I wanted to show you I could defeat my opponent and stay safe, even with you standing right beside me. Your so-called destiny can't do anything to hurt anyone."
