Salute To The General -
Chapter 2306
Tim had lost many friends and family in his life, so he was convinced that he was unlucky and would cause harm to everyone around him.
He admired Nathan, but that superstitious belief was so deeply rooted in his mind that no words could change it.
Hence, he refused to go back to the country with Nathan. "Mr. Cross, our deal was for you to stay a few days and prove that I wouldn't bring misfortune to the people around me. Only then would I consider going back with you." Nathan calmly replied, "Stop overthinking things. Just get the paperwork for selling your assets ready and come home with me."
Colin smiled and suggested, "Yeah, come on, Tim. Let's have a drink together."
Tim used to drink with his friends in the army, but one by one, those friends had died on the battlefield.
That was why he vowed to never drink with anybody again.
He shook his head and replied, "No, thanks, Colin. You guys enjoy it. I have to work on some stuff and will be leaving now. Mr. Cross, Mrs. Cross, please enjoy your drinks and feel free to call me should you need anything." After saying that, Tim stood up and left.
He exited the brewery.
A Rolls-Royce pulled up right away, and a polite subordinate showed up to open the door for Tim.
He entered the car without saying anything and sat in the backseat.
The subordinate took the passenger's seat after that.
The driver turned around and asked, "Where are we headed to, Tim?"
Tim calmly replied, "To the War Dragon Chamber's headquarters."
"Understood."
The Rolls-Royce drove slowly down the street in the middle of the night and headed toward the War Dragon Chamber's headquarters.
When it reached a secluded crossroad, a black car sped over and smashed into the side of that Rolls-Royce.
Boom!
A loud noise rang out.
The Rolls-Royce flipped over because of the impact of the crash and landed upside down in the middle of the road.
In response, the black car stopped a short distance away.
The doors opened, and both the Monk and the Priest got out of that black car.
Meanwhile, there was another luxurious car a short distance away.
The windows in the backseat were rolled down. Sitting inside the car were Kristoff and Tetsuo.
They were smoking cigars at the time.
Tetsuo couldn't help smiling when he saw Tim's car turning upside down like that.
"The show is about to begin," said Kristoff nonchalantly.
Inside the upside-down Rolls-Royce, the driver and the subordinate on the passenger's seat struggled and then crawled out of the wreckage. Both had blood all over them.
Unfortunately, the Monk stomped on the driver's head and turned it into a bloody mush as soon as they crawled out.
The Priest snapped the subordinate's neck as well.
Both victims died instantly.
The Monk and the Priest dealt with the driver and the subordinate as though they were just ants. Not much attention was needed, so the killers had their eyes on the wrecked Rolls-Royce the entire time. "Shouldn't you show yourself and accept your fate?" challenged the Monk.
"Or are all Eurasians cowards?" taunted the Priest.
As soon as they finished speaking, a loud bang sounded. Someone inside the car had kicked the door to the Rolls-Royce right off its hinges.
Moments later, Tim exited the Rolls-Royce with a grim expression.
Tim's black suit was torn, and there were signs of blood all over him.
Fortunately, he was a powerful fighter, and those injuries were no more than scratches to him.
He tossed his coat to the side and
ripped his white shirt off his chest, revealing a tattooed, muscular body.
After that, he cracked his neck a little and narrowed his eyes at his opponents before icily demanding, "Which a*shole sent you? How dare you ambush me?"
The Monk didn't answer that question. He simply turned to the Priest, then asked, "Do you want to do the honors, or should I?"
Grinning, the Priest took a step back and replied, "I'll leave the heavy lifting to you."
The Monk harrumphed. He seemed annoyed when he walked toward Tim. Every step the Monk took left a footprint on the solid ground underneath him. He's an extremely powerful fighter!
Tim was surprised, and his gaze became more focused. His hand reached for the whip sword attached near his waist.
