Chapter 2315

A few men in black suddenly appeared right after Colin left. The leader looked like a decent thirtyyear-old man. However, Nathan couldn't quite get used to the mustache under his nose. The man bowed and greeted politely, "How do you do, Mr. Cross?"

Nathan, Penny, and Ava stared at them in surprise, wondering where they came from.

""Who are you?" Nathan asked.

The man smiled. "Where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Shigo Masumi. We're here to meet Mr. Cross under the instructions of Mr. Yori."

Nathan frowned. "Mr. Yori?"

Shigo smiled. "Mr. Yori is the chairman of Yori Corporation, Matsuo Yori."

Penny paled upon his words. She had seen Matsuo in the papers.

Apparently, he was King of the Underworld in Jetroina. His word carried a lot of weight all around the world.

I wonder why Matsuo sent his men over.

Nathan narrowed his eyes. "How is Mizuki related to Mr. Yori?"

Shigo smiled. "She's Mr. Yori's daughter."

Nathan nodded, immediately understanding the situation. "I don't even know Mr. Yori. Why did he send you here?"

Shigo explained, "Two reasons. The first one is about the World Peace Prize. Since Ms. Mizuki and Ms. Camden are both the top picks for this prize, Mr. Yori hopes that Ms. Mizuki will bag the prize." Nathan replied, "He hopes his daughter will bag the prize while I hope my wife gets it. We're just supporting our own family and hope that they get the honor and glory. But why is he telling me all these?" Chuckling, Shigo said, "Mr. Yori hopes that Ms. Camden will forfeit the prize. That way, the World Peace Prize will belong to Ms. Mizuki."

Penny frowned as Nathan sneered.

"Do you really think I will agree to this irrational request?"

"Mr. Yori knows this is unfair to Ms. Camden. Hence, he promised to compensate you one hundred million for the emotional damage he has caused."

Nathan snorted. "What if we refuse?"

Shigo avoided his question and continued with his second reason for seeing Nathan today. "I heard that Mr. Cross helped War Dragon Chamber take out Dagger Gang yesterday night and even killed Tetsuo Fujiwara. You're probably not aware, but Tetsuo used to be Mr. Yori's student. He has always treated him like one of his own. Your actions yesterday night crossed the line, Mr. Cross. We will make whoever crosses our line pay tenfold." Penny's face darkened upon his words, while Ava stared at Shigo and his men coldly.

"Are you threatening me?" Nathan remained cool as a cucumber as he asked.

Shigo replied with a smile, "No. I'm just telling you a fact. You don't need to be afraid, Mr. Cross. I'm telling you all these simply because I wanted to. If you can talk your wife into forfeiting, Mr. Yori will let you off for killing Dagger Gang and compensate you with one hundred million for the emotional damage. What do you think, Mr. Cross?"

Nathan simply replied, "You may f*ck off now."

What?

Shigo widened his eyes in disbelief.

He thought Nathan would feel so pressured by Yori Corporation that he would succumb to their conditions. Moreover, he even tempted them with one hundred million.

Who would have thought that Nathan wasn't the least bit tempted by the one hundred million? Not only that, but he didn't seem to hold any respect for Yori Corporation either.

He just told me to f *ck off.

Shigo fumed with fury. "I've been trying to be courteous, but you're asking for it. Since you insist on doing it your way, just wait. You are going to regret it."

"I remember there's a saying here in Jetroina - don't create trouble for others," Nathan replied coolly. "I'm warning you. Don't replace fault with me, or else you will have to bear the consequences." Shigo nodded. "Okay. We'll see about that."

With that, he left with his subordinates in tow.
