Vroom Vroom!

Several bulletproof jeeps rushed out from the gate of Novah Pharmaceutical Company and drove off.

Black Mamba furrowed his brows as he gazed at those vehicles disappearing into the distance.

All his subordinates were standing behind him, each with varying expressions.

One of them boldly asked, "Black Mamba, what should we do now?" In a composed tone, Black Mamba said, "The chairman has been killed. What else can we do? Inform all the board members right away and ask them to gather for a meeting. It's time to clean up the mess! Other than that, hurry up and fix the communications. We need to notify the military of the attack here. Let them stop those damn Eurasians!"

His subordinates replied in unison, "Yes, Black Mamba."

Novah Pharmaceutical Company fixed their communications and informed the military as soon as they could. Then, the military still had to report to their superiors. A few hours had already passed by when their superiors found out about this incident. Utterly infuriated, they gave out an order and asked all their troops to search for Nathan.

Unfortunately, they all failed to discover even a trace of Nathan.

The following day at midnight.

At the Camden family's manor in Eagleland.

Bowen, who was sleeping soundly, woke up suddenly from his dreams. He immediately sat up in his bed. He could not tamp down the uneasiness in his heart after he knew Nathan had killed Quentin.

Novah Pharmaceutical Company had outstanding defenses, and Quentin had many bodyguards. Still, they were defeated by Nathan.

At that moment, he could not help but worry about himself.

After he fell asleep earlier, he had a nightmare. He dreamt that Nathan had shown up and killed him with a bullet.

It was only after he woke up that he realized it was just a dream.

He heaved a sigh of relief as he got down from his bed. Stepping toward the table, he poured himself a cup of water.

Just as he was about to drink, he noticed that the room door was open.

Huh? Since when was the door open?

He clearly remembered he had closed all the doors and windows before going to bed. He did not like to be disturbed when he was sleeping. Plus, no one dared to come into his room when he was asleep. The more Bowen thought about it, the more frightened he grew.

Just then, a male voice suddenly sounded from beside him. "What are you afraid of?"

Bowen's heart nearly leaped out of his throat. He immediately turned in the direction of the voice.

To his shock, a man in a black suit was sitting on the chair gracefully.

The faint moonlight shone on him from an angle, creating a partial shadow.

It was Nathan.

Bowen was stunned. "It's you!"

Nathan said blandly, "Are you surprised?"

Bowen was a person whose mettle was often put to the test. It was true that he had been shocked and scared when he first saw Nathan. However, he managed to recompose himself after a long while. He noticed Nathan sitting in his chair with one of his hands placed on the table beside him. On the table, there was a black pistol.

His expression changed minutely. The next moment, he pulled a chair out and sat right opposite Nathan.

He stared at Nathan with a complicated look. "When I heard about Quentin's death this morning, I worried you might come to replace me. It turns out my worries were not unfounded. You did come." Nathan said indifferently, "Since you knew I would come, do you also know what will be your ending?"

Bowen gulped nervously and replied, "Will it be the same as Quentin?"

Nathan answered calmly, "It depends on my decision."

Bowen locked his eyes on Nathan. "What do you mean?"

Nathan did not answer Bowen's question directly. "Let me ask you a question. Why would parents abandon their baby in the garbage?"

Bowen's expression turned absolutely ugly. After a long while, he spoke. "I guess maybe the guy had a wife, but his lover was jealous and secretly gave birth to his child. However, the guy could not accept his lover and the child because of his family. Thus, the guy ordered his subordinates to steal the child and abandon it on the streets."

Nathan's expression changed slightly upon hearing that.

So that was how Penny was abandoned by Bowen back then!
