Salute To The General
Chapter 2375

Marshall took aim at Kylie's head as his finger rested on the trigger.

Yet right before he took the shot, he moved his gun slightly, redirecting his aim to Nathan, who was sitting beside Kylie.

His original plan had been to kill Kylie first before Nathan, but Marshall then figured he should first eliminate Nathan.

After all, Nathan was Eurasia's God of War and could well dodge the shot once he was alarmed. Hence, despite how tempting it was for Marshall to see the shock on his face when he saw the woman beside him die, Marshall still decided to err on the side of caution. It would be better to go right for his target and make sure the mission was accomplished.

On the other side of things, Nathan sensed danger in the air as he sat in the cafe. Given his extensive experience as a soldier, he had a hunch that something was about to happen.

Alarm bells began ringing in his mind as his gut told him there was a sniper around.

A cold glint flickered in his eyes.

Without warning, he suddenly tilted his head backward.

Bang!

In that split instance when Nathan shifted his head aside, a bang sounded from afar as Marshall fired.

"F*ck!" Marshall was not expecting Nathan to suddenly move.

As an experienced sniper, he could tell from Nathan's sudden motion that he would miss the moment he fired his gun.

Unlike other gunmen who needed to wait till their bullet hit to know if they had succeeded, Marshall was experienced enough to know he had messed up his task the very moment he pulled the trigger.

He had been confident that he could vanquish Nathan with just a single try, yet when Nathan leaned backward out of nowhere, Marshall was irked.

As the assassin expected, the bullet sped past Nathan and hit the cafe's wall, leaving behind a big hole.

Marshall quickly shifted his aim to lock on to Nathan again, but Nathan was quicker than he was.

Just as he was going for a second try, Nathan had already grabbed Kylie by the hand, running out of the cafe.

Bang'. Bang!Ba ng!

Marshall fired three consecutive shots, but none of them hit his target.

Instead, the bullets drilled through a car and two tables behind Nathan and Kylie as they sped off.

The two darted into another shop at lightning speed before disappearing out of sight.

Everyone was shrieking in horror when the gunshots echoed.

When Marshall could no longer replace Nathan through his sniper scope, he put down his gun in frustration before disassembling it and putting it in a black briefcase.

"Eagle reporting. Mission failed, and the target is now on the run," he said briefly into the wireless microphone on his collar. "Hyenas, it's time y'all get moving. Make sure you hunt him down and kill him." Four black Cadillacs were parked at four different junctions in the area.

Once the Hyenas received an order from Marshall, groups of foreign men in black suits came down from the four cars.

They were all Ariarican special agents working under Marshall.

Their code name was the Hyenas, named after the aggressive, cunning, and cruel animal which usually hunted in packs. There were sixteen of them in total. They split up in different directions to begin canvassing the area for Nathan. Meanwhile, Nathan and Kylie sneaked out of a restaurant from the backdoor.
