Salute To The General -
Chapter 2438
Nathan merely smiled.
This old geezer seems courteous, but he's actually pretty stubborn. Well, if it were someone else other than me who had pissed the Reclusive Families off, they'd probably have to die by Theron's hands. The man had long wanted to crush the four Reclusive Families and now knew he had to defeat Theron in order to shake these households.
At the thought of that, Nathan's gaze grew even more stern, his eyes looked as if they had been set ablaze.
"Bring it on," he declared with a wave of his hand.
As an elder, Theron had initially wanted to let the younger man go first.
Yet, he didn't expect Nathan to challenge him head-on like that.
A look of contempt flashed in his eyes as he stepped forward, determined not to hold back anymore.
"First up, Tidal Punch!"
The punch was neither slow nor fast.
Nathan could see Theron's fist approaching him slowly, but there was also a terrifying force accompanying it.
Suddenly, the sound of waves crashing against the shore could be heard everywhere.
Members of the Reclusive Families burned with anticipation, whereas Colin and Cheryl held their breaths nervously while observing the battle.
Nathan's combat style remained the same simple yet brutal.
He took a step forward and threw a punch.
As he did so, what seemed like a regular punch began to distort the air around them, indicating the sheer force it carried.
Their fists met.
Boom!
A thunderous noise rang out.
The floor beneath both men instantly cracked.
Meanwhile, the invisible waves resulting from the punches sent the audience members swaying from left to right.
Shockingly, the strength of both their punches was on equal ground.
Theron couldn't help but feel surprised. I didn't use all my strength, but sixty percent is still quite a fair bit. Even if this is all he's got, the fact that he could handle this punch proves his worth.
"As expected of the God of War. I must say I'm impressed, Nathan Cross," he couldn't help but compliment. "Now, my next attack."
Unleashing seventy percent of his strength, the elderly man raised his right hand, positioned his index and middle fingers together to form a sword-like shape, and aimed at Nathan. "The second move, Way of the Immortal."
At lightning speed, Theron struck Nathan's chest with his fingers.
He had thought that this move would easily fracture all bones in Nathan's chest area, causing the latter to be heavily injured even if he did not die.
Yet, that was clearly not what had happened.
A wound immediately formed on Nathan's chest, causing blood to trickle out.
However, his fingers stopped the minute it came in contact with Nathan's chest bone.
Theron couldn't believe his eyes. His bones are completely intact! This is impossible. Even if he were made of steel, I should've been able to pierce through him entirely. So, then, how could I not cause his bones any damage? This was Nathan's first injury in three years.
It was but a small external wound, but the God of War was now infuriated.
Now, you've really done for!
Nathan slapped Theron's hand away, charged toward him directly, and elbowed him in the chest.
Thud!
With a heavy thump, Theron was unable to stop himself from sliding over ten meters backward.
It felt as though his organs were churning, and he could even feel the blood rising to his throat. This man nearly made me spew blood!
Despite quickly swallowing the blood and pretending to be fine, he no longer underestimated Nathan's capabilities. He was even starting to fear the latter now.
He's strong. I have to give it my all now, or my reputation ends here.
"Your abilities are astonishing," remarked Theron as he drew the peach wood sword on his back. "As a sign of my respect for you, I shall fight you with all I have." "Come at me. I'll show you what it feels like to lose," Nathan replied coolly.
