Salute To The General -
Chapter 2720
Ava was infuriated when she realized the blatant attempt on the First Lady's life.
She was fixated on tracking this person down until his death, but when Nathan saw what she was doing, he shouted, "Ava! Come back!"
Ava could not hear him. The Mercedes-Benz had already sped off down the street at full velocity.
Nathan glanced at the body lying afar, and a frown slowly emerged on his face.
"It's the same man!" Penny said, her voice shaking. "He's the Jetroinian we saw on the cultural street-Hideo Komura."
"Yes, it's him. We thought they had run away, but it seems that they're back for revenge. I wonder where they got this boldness from."
Penny went closer to look at his body. Since the street was empty and there was no one around, Penny could not help but feel scared. "Hubby, what should we do now?"
"We should head back. I'll ask Colin to take care of this and call Ava back." Nathan took out his phone, meaning to call Colin. Yet again, he sensed an oppressive force from his left side. I can feel his power!
Nathan's hand froze, and he slowly turned in that direction.
He did not even know when did a foreign young man go under the street lamp.
Dressed in a dark suit, the man looked classy and out of the world.
Peculiarly, his skin was extremely fair-so fair that there was no sign of blood on his face.
When Penny saw him, dread overpowered her, and she hid behind Nathan. "Hubby, look at him." "I've got you. Don't worry," he replied calmly.
Her fear was dispelled, and Penny felt assured after Nathan comforted her.
Whenever she was around Nathan, he could always give her an inexplicable sense of security.
Nathan looked back at the man under the lamppost. "If I remember correctly, you were the one who was looking at me on the cultural street." The young man from Adrune sneered. "Spot on. You're a smart one, but too bad, you're too haughty for your own good. You might be strong, but it's pure foolishness to walk around without a single guard. Even the only female bodyguard you brought is not here anymore. There's only one way out for you now: death."
Karlis gazed at Penny and smiled in excitement. "I've never tasted the blood of a president from Aploth. Besides, there's a good gift that comes with tonight's victory too. This woman must taste really good. There shall be a bloody feast tonight!" Penny was shook.
"So it's you?" Nathan questioned. "You were the one who sucked Sera's daughter's blood. You're a pervert."
"What did you just say?" Karlis felt affronted. "I'm a vampire. Don't you dare call me names."
A vampire?
Penny and Nathan exchanged glances.
After killing a man who claimed to be a werewolf at the inauguration ceremony, Nathan was not expecting to meet another mythical being.
It seemed that he had been running into the weirdest things that year.
Nathan narrowed his eyes at the young man. "Hey, I don't care if you're a crazy human, a devil, or a god. You'd better kneel down right this instance."
Nathan had decided that he would teach Karlis a good lesson and put him in his place that night.
When Karlis sensed Nathan's overwhelming and suffocating aura, he finally understood why people respected Nathan so much. Well, well. It's exactly what I heard about Eurasia. Its leader has really got what it takes to rule the country. I can even feel his dominating air from here. Karlis tried to calm himself down under the pressure.
He lifted his head high, looking back at Nathan. "It's been a long time since I had a worthy opponent among your race. We shall see if you live up to your name tonight."
To Nathan, Karlis was no different from the super-soldier that Ariarica had created under Project Genesis.
"You'll regret coming here tonight," Nathan pronounced.
