Salute To The General
Chapter 2774

Soon, Nathan, Szymon, and the rest arrived at the side hall.

Even though it was the side hall of the castle, it was still very spacious. The decorations inside the hall were equally grand and luxurious.

All around the hall stood countless people.

There were even many knights standing in the courtyard outside the hall.

It appeared as though everyone living in the estate had been summoned over.

Szymon intentionally showed them off to Nathan. "All of my guests and knights have heard of your visit, Mr. Cross. All of them are beyond excited to see you in person."

Scanning the crowd in front of him, Nathan merely smiled without saying a word.

Szymon and Nathan took a seat at the table respectively as the host and the guest. Once they were seated, a servant came forward and poured them some tea.

Szymon took a sip of black tea before flashing Nathan and Penny a halfsmile. "So, Mr. and Mrs. Cross, what brings you here to my estate today? Is there something you'd like to tell me?"

Nathan casually stated, "There's nothing we'd like to tell you, but there is something we'd like to discuss with Your Grace."

"What is it?" Szymon feigned ignorance.

Nathan did not answer. He picked up the teacup and began sipping his tea before casually commanding Carlos, "Ambassador Knight, please explain the situation to His Grace!" Carlos immediately stood up and recounted everything briefly.

At the end of his recount, Carlos looked at Szymon solemnly. "Your Grace, I know that you have incredible authority and influence. There are even multiple companies under your control. Robin Security is just one of the many businesses that you own. I also believe that with your identity and status, Your Grace would most definitely not do something as shameful as conning us out of our national treasure."

When Szymon heard that, his face immediately became twisted, but there was nothing he could say.

On the other hand, Nathan smiled slightly. He had always thought that Carlos was not competent enough. He was even considering firing that useless prick once the whole thing was over.

Yet, at that moment, Carlos' performance was beyond his expectation.

Carlos seemed as though he was praising Szymon, but in reality, it was a backhanded insult. It was extremely satisfying to see Szymon unable to do anything despite his fury.

Carlos was in charge of international relations and he was a man with a sharp tongue and a smart mouth as those were crucial in his work. At that moment, he was putting his talent to good use.

Flashing Szymon a smile, Carlos continued, "Other than that, I'm willing to believe that all of this is just a misunderstanding. Your Grace must have not known about this. It has to be something that your subordinates have done without your knowledge. President Cross is visiting this time so this issue can be resolved in a peaceful manner. Your Grace, we hope that you can return the imperial jade seal to us."

Everyone turned to look at Szymon.

Szymon placed his teacup down. "There are more than hundreds of thousands of businesses under my authority. Naturally, I can't keep my eye on every single one of them. Furthermore, someone did give me an antique called the imperial jade seal recently. I've been using it as a paperweight. It's thrown on my desk somewhere. However, even though the jade seal is of little to no use to me, I do not have the habit of giving the things I don't want to others!"

When Carlos heard that, his expression shifted. "But that jade seal had been conned out of us by one of the companies under your authority Szymon immediately interrupted, "I do not care about something as minor as this. If you think there is an issue, you can take it to court, or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or even to the queen. At the end of the day, even if a pile of dog sh*t is in my hand, if I refuse to let the dog eat it, the dog will have no choice but to watch."

Carlos' expression darkened.

Penny's brows furrowed as well.

Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight were fuming in anger.

Only Nathan remained calm. "So from what you're saying, looks like

Your Grace is not willing to return it to us."

Turning his gaze to Nathan, Szymon suddenly laughed.

"In my castle-no, in all of Cercis Estate are mountains after mountains of priceless treasures. However, I also house three thousand guests and five thousand knights. From music to chess to knowledge to art, as well as various combat skills, all of them are extremely talented." He paused briefly. "Let me tell you something, Nathan. I don't have the habit of giving people things I don't want, but if you want to take anything away from here, that shall depend on how capable you are." Nathan smiled. "What are you referring to?"

With a sneer on his face, Szymon explained, "I have countless scholars and knights at my bidding. I will personally handpick the best out of the best to challenge you in three rounds of tests. If you can pass all three tests, you can take away not just the imperial jade seal, but anything in my castle, including my head.

However, if you can't, I wouldn't want your head. I just need you to bark like a dog three times, and get the hell out of here."

Szymon raised his head and looked at Nathan. "What do you think?"
