Salute To The General -
Chapter 2801
Nathan whirled around to glance at the remaining werewolves on deck.
The werewolves whined with dread, turned around, and fled when they met Nathan's cold gaze.
Nathan's horrifying combat prowess had snuffed out any courage they had.
Plop! Plop! Plop!
The fear of Nathan drove the werewolves to jump overboard for the boats floating on the sea to save their lives.
However, there were too many of them. Moreover, being too overwhelmed with the urge to flee caused many to fall into the sea instead of landing on the boats. The werewolves that dropped into the sea never resurfaced after the body of water swallowed them into its depths.
A portion of the werewolves began to row their boats madly.
Nathan stood at the end of the deck and stared impassively at the enemies trying to make their escape. There wasn't even a smidgen of pity in his eyes.
Compassion for your enemy means being cruel to yourself.
Besides, Nathan had given the werewolves a chance last time, but they didn't appreciate it and came after him again.
The werewolves had paid a hefty price this time.
Colin and the Elite Eight went up to Nathan's side and stared at the fleeing boats.
Colin said, "President Cross, they can't run away this time."
Nathan turned to Colin with a
confused look.
Seeing that, the man answered, "When Eurasia heard about how you were in danger, the Cabinet and the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor took the necessary precautions immediately. The Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor have ordered Dragon Warriors on overseas peacekeeping missions to race to our location at once. I estimate they'll be arriving soon."
Nathan was baffled at Colin's words for a moment before he recalled the Southern Fleet had sent out a few fleets overseas on peacekeeping missions to police the pirates and protect the maritime trade routes. Coincidentally, the Dragon Warriors were assigned to a nearby area.
I guess the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor and Cabinet had sent out an emergency order to the Dragon Warriors to assist me when they heard about my situation.
Colin had just barely finished speaking when a few black dots appeared on the horizon.
Nathan and Colin could discern them to be a fleet of warships as the dots grew bigger.
A smile finally stretched across his face. "They're here."
Just then, Ava and four of the Elite Eight came out with Penny under their safeguard.
Even Didier and his crew had come out to the deck.
Didier stated anxiously, "President Cross, this ship has suffered immense damage. It can't take us to Eurasia in its battered condition. There will still be risks even if we turn back to Eagleland now." Nathan said with a reassuring smile, "Don't worry. I'll board another ship back to Eurasia. I'll compensate you for the damage to your ship."
Didier was stunned. "Another ship? President Cross, we're in the middle of the ocean, far from land. How are you going to replace another ship to board?"
Nathan chuckled and pointed in the direction of the approaching fleet. "Isn't that ship coming to fetch me?"
Didier's eyes widened with shock. He snatched a pair of binoculars from his first mate and looked in the direction Nathan pointed.
He saw a fleet with seven varying models of warships approaching them from the horizon.
Didier gasped, "Heavens! Those are our warships!"
Nathan laughed. "Captain Dagostino, I'm sorry for everything that happened tonight and the severe damage to your ship. However, you don't have to worry as I'll compensate you."
Didier said frantically, "It is my honor to be able to be of service to the president."
Before the Dragon Warriors approached, two fighter jets and an array of military helicopters broke formation from the fleet and drew closer at a fast speed.
Jermaine Caulfield was the current commander of Dragon Warriors. He was once part of the North Army and under Nathan's command before.
He was Nathan's loyal follower and admired Nathan greatly, to the point of even worshipping him.
When he heard about the ambush Nathan encountered, he was infuriated. He immediately ordered the fighter jets and military helicopters to fly ahead and open fire on the fleeing werewolves.
Nathan stood on the deck indifferently as he watched the military helicopters continue to open fire on the werewolves' boats. Not long after, all the boats capsized, taking their passengers down with them. It was an ending they deserved for their ungratefulness.
