Salute To The General
Chapter 3019

Thereafter, Lothar casually approached Nathan and stopped when he was close enough.

Upon throwing a glance at the dagger Nathan was holding, he suggested, "To avoid being accused of not playing fair, I'll allow you to use weapons in our battle." Rolling up his sleeves, Nathan flatly replied, "Since you're not using any, I won't use them too."

Meanwhile, Colin and Kerry's faces were filled with concern.

Even though one was an elite warrior, while the other was clueless when it came to combat, the Allfather's terrifying power was obvious to both of them.

In fact, it wasn't an exaggeration to say that he was the strongest foe Nathan ever had to face.

Thus, both of them began to lose their composure as their concern for Nathan grew exponentially.

Sevan, on the other hand, fixed his gaze on the Allfather, as if the latter's silhouette had triggered a buried memory of his.

Lothar couldn't help but be surprised by the confidence displayed by Nathan.

Scrutinizing the latter, he saw Nathan keeping his hands behind his back. Legs equally apart and even shoulders on both sides, Nathan's posture was similar to an authoritative military instructor in the army.

Hidden behind his mask, Nathan's eyes were brimming with conviction, unfazed by the enemy before him.

Consequently, Lothar couldn't help but be impressed by the sight that greeted him.

Under normal circumstances, his enemies would already be intimidated by his pressurizing aura. As if they were facing a menacing beast, their knees would have buckled out of sheer terror. Consequently, it was rare to replace anyone who could remain composed when facing him.

Given the courage Nathan had demonstrated, Lothar felt that the former was indeed a titan of the new generation who was a cut above the rest.

Standing with his hands behind his back, Lothar related, "I have studied the Ancient Arts ever since I was young, learning how to harness my energy at three and training with a sword at five. By the time I was twenty, I had made a name for myself; at twenty-seven, I had no equal within the country. When I reached thirty, I was one with my sword, while at forty, I was stronger without it. By fifty, I no longer needed my sword, and I left it to my sword bearer. Although a sword is not necessary for me anymore, everything in this world, from my perspective, can be turned into one still."

Despite Lothar's words not really making any sense, Nathan listened intently, as if he was a student learning from his teacher.

After throwing Nathan a glance, Lothar finally suggested, "Even though I'm not holding a sword, everything I see can become one. Therefore, my advice to you is to pick up a weapon. Otherwise, you'll be at a disadvantage. More importantly, it has been a long time since I had to go into battle myself. Therefore, if you were to be annihilated within two or three attacks, it would be such a mood killer."

Lothar's words struck everyone present with awe. They then looked at him with reverence, as if he was a God.

Despite having killed Deans, Angels, and Heavenly Guardians, Nathan still wasn't seen by the Allfather as a threat.

In fact, he even reminded Nathan not to lose too quickly for fear of spoiling his fun.

After listening to what Lothar had to say, Nathan calmly replied, "You truly are a genius with an existence that can only be described as legendary. However, even though I do see reason in your suggestion, I refuse to accept it. Since you're not using a weapon, I will make the same choice, as I want to demonstrate my belief by defeating you."

Lothar was taken by surprise. "Your belief? What belief?"

Instead of replying, Nathan-maintaining his posture as a military instructor-answered, "You'll replace out soon enough!"

Although Nathan's skills in the Ancient Arts improved by leaps and bounds under his master's guidance, he had amalgamated those techniques with the military combat skills he learned after joining the army. Subsequently, he combined the results with the experiences he gained on the battlefield. After countless brutal battles and swimming in a sea of corpses and blood, he had finally found his own way.

The resulting creation was the Military Punch.

It was a unique technique that comprised a soldier's conviction, Nathan's battlefield experiences, and his in-depth understanding of the Ancient Arts. Furthermore, all these factors influenced his attitude toward the world and at the end of the day, formed his belief.

Lothar replied with a smile, "Fine. Let me see it then. Regardless of what sort of belief it is, I'll put it to the test."
