Salute To The General
Chapter 3018

Nathan's words gave Lucian a shock, for the latter had assumed that Nathan didn't fight back because he was incapable of doing so. However, it was now evident that Nathan hadn't gone all out. Having reserved his strength, he was now ready to begin his assault.

Lucian, suppressing his astonishment, steeled himself and barked, "Come on then. I'm waiting."

"Very well!"

No sooner had Nathan's voice rang out than he charged forward at lightning speed.

He moved at such a blazing speed that he caught Lucian by surprise.

Lucian's face was drained of color as he raised his giant sword in an attempt to retaliate.

Unfortunately, he was one step too slow.

Just when he managed to raise his sword above his head, Nathan had already moved past him.

In that very instant their shoulders crossed, Nathan plunged the dagger in his hand deep into Lucian's left abdomen. Thereafter, a trail of sparks began to cut across from the latter's left abdomen until it reached his right underarm.

At that moment, Lucian's massive body stopped moving as if he was being frozen by a magic spell.

As for Nathan, he came to a stop a few meters away upon passing Lucian by.

The silence that ensued was deafening.

As Lucian lowered his head to look down, all he saw was a gruesome wound across his chest.

The terrifying cut left by Nathan's blade started from his left abdomen and ended underneath his right arm.

The dagger had not only pierced his golden armor but also cut through his entire torso.

In fact, if not for his armor, all his organs would likely have spilled out.

Drip... Drip...

As the first drop of blood trickled out of his armor and onto the ground, the sound that resulted was eerily crisp.

Subsequently, fresh blood gushed out with nothing to hold it back.

In that instant, the focus in Lucian's eyes gradually faded away.

Nathan's slash had not only cut open his torso but also severed all his organs.

With no hope of survival left, Lucian gradually turned toward Nathan and spoke with much difficulty. "How is it possible that I lost to you? Who in the world are " Before he could finish his sentence, he slumped to the ground, breathing his last.

The sight caused the Heavenly City guards to gasp in shock.

As for the four remaining Heavenly Guardians, a solemn expression descended upon their faces in recognition of the formidable enemy they were facing. Clap! Clap! Clap!

All of a sudden, a round of applause broke the pin-drop silence.

The person doing so was none other than Lothar.

On top of being covered by a cloak, he also had a pair of gloves on.

It was just that the glove on his left hand was silverfish white, whereas the one on his right hand was golden in color.

As he clapped, everyone's attention was immediately drawn to him.

Even Nathan turned slowly around and observed the mysterious Allfather carefully.

Once he finished clapping, Lothar remarked frostily, "You have shown what you are made of by defeating Lucian. Now, I have a good idea of who you are.

Even though I'm confident of my guess, it's still necessary for me to tear that mask off your face and see if you're indeed the person I think you are.

After a momentary silence, Nathan, too, spoke with his voice tinged with complicated emotions. "Just like you, I have guessed your identity. It's just that I'm reluctant to accept it. Also, I, too, intend to take your cloak off and see for myself who you truly are." With his hands behind his back, Lothar sauntered forward as his voice resonated like thunder. "Very well. It's been a long time since I last fought anyone who is my match. Hence, I'll get my hands dirty today and have some fun with you."

When the remaining four Heavenly Guardians-Sadhu, Austeru, Aragon, and Merlin heard that the Allfather was going to personally fight Nathan, they panicked.

After all, they were extremely loyal and willing to die for him.

Now that such a formidable enemy has arrived in Heavenly City, how can we stand aside and watch as the Allfather takes him on alone?

As a result, all of them began to appeal to the Allfather.

"Allfather, is it necessary for you to take him on yourself?"

"Exactly. Let us take care of him instead."

"That's right. We'll exact revenge for Lucian by killing this guy."

Lothar asserted, "Enough! Since he's capable of killing Lucian, it's clear that none of you are any match for him. Now that I'm taking him on myself, all of you should watch and learn."

As the Heavenly Guardians didn't dare disobey, they lowered their head in acknowledgment. "Yes, Allfather."
