Salute To The General -
Chapter 3099
"Charge!"
Under the command of Remus, the werewolves charged at Daveth and Betty.
Daveth said in a low voice, "Betty, I'll let you handle these guys. I'll go after Remus. Okay?"
Betty responded, "Sure! No problem!"
With that, she pulled out her rapier and swung her weapon like a flash of lightning before stabbing one of the werewolves in his chest. The moment her sword entered the werewolf's body, he was petrified.
Betty drew her rapier out quickly and immediately charged at another werewolf.
The werewolf who had been stabbed stood still and looked down at his chest.
All he saw was an insignificant blood stain on his chest.
The very next second, the blood spot split open abruptly, and blood shot out from the wound. He fell forward to the ground right away.
Never in his wildest dream did he expect someone as strong as himself to be defeated so easily by someone like Betty. In the end, he succumbed with one strike to his heart. Betty defeated three werewolves consecutively.
Shortly after, the other werewolves returned to their senses, picked up their scimitars, and surrounded Betty.
Betty had no difficulty handling them. However, she did not move as fast as she did before.
Just as she was dealing with the dozens of werewolves, Daveth was already going after Remus.
Remus had no idea that both Daveth and Betty were War Gods of the Light of the Curia. He was stunned to see Betty fighting off his subordinates all on her own.
Then again, that had also activated the feral nature of the werewolves.
Remus strode toward Daveth in high fighting spirit. "Bring it on!"
Having said that, he charged toward Daveth all of a sudden. He raised his right arm and swung at Daveth's head.
It was a powerful force.
Even if Daveth's head was made of steel, Remus was confident that he could smash his head to bits.
Thankfully, Daveth was a War God after all, and had plenty of experience in combat. He lifted his left arm and blocked Remus off with ease before engaging in close combat with Remus. There was nothing fancy about both their moves. Strength and speed were keys.
As the two of them exchanged blows, thunderous booms could be heard in the area.
Every clash of theirs would produce a powerful energy flow. Like a cyclone, the energy flow blew all the furniture and equipment of the food stall away.
When the owner and the late-night customers of the food stall witnessed the scene, they screamed in fear and ran for their lives.
Meanwhile, Nathan was still sitting calmly in his chair and enjoying his drink while looking on at the fight in front of him.
He could tell that each and every one of the werewolves was very powerful.
Any one of them could have the strength of a King of Warrior.
They could set off a bloody massacre anywhere in the world. Remus was even more powerful.
In fact, Remus was more powerful than the Ultimate King of Warrior.
Unfortunately, Remus and the rest of the elite werewolves were unlucky that night to bump into Daveth and Betty, who were the War Gods of the Curia. Betty weaved through her enemies like a small white dragon. Her blade moved swiftly and stealthily to take the lives of the werewolves in an orderly manner. The werewolves were very enthusiastic. None of them retreated. In fact, they stepped on their comrades' blood and bodies and continued charging forward. Daveth grabbed Remus by his head and kept hitting him until he moved backward.
It was only a matter of time before the werewolves would be defeated.
However, there was a sudden change in the situation.
When Remus was being suppressed by Daveth and witnessed his subordinates being slaughtered by Betty, he became furious and let out a roar. All of a sudden, his body underwent a transformation. He doubled in size.
A red glow emitted from his body, and his eyes were blood red too.
After the transformation, he became twice as fast in his movement as he unleashed a series of onslaughts at Daveth.
