Salute To The General -
Chapter 3417 Bring Her Back
Without turning back, Nathan said coldly, "Whoever's hiding in the shadows and spying, you can come out now."
Nathan laid Hepburn's body back on the ground, then turned to gaze at the nearby woods, speaking in a cold tone. Lately, there had always been some reckless evildoers appearing around him, and he had long since run out of patience.
Nathan's gaze toward the woods at this moment was also filled with murderous intent.
Upon hearing this, Colin was taken aback. He looked warily at the forest in front of him, wondering if there was anyone else around.
The forest was completely silent, without any movement or sound.
With a puzzled look, Colin turned his head toward Nathan, his eyes seemingly asking, "Was there a mistake by any chance? It appears there's no one in the forest, right?"
Nathan asked indifferently, "Are you asking me to take matters into my own hands?"
This time, there was finally some activity in the forest.
With a swish, a charming figure appeared before Nathan and Colin.
It turned out to be a beautiful woman from Adrune.
Upon seeing this foreign beauty, Nathan couldn't help but look surprised, but his face quickly turned serious. "Lyanna, it's you!"
The beauty standing before them was none other than Lyanna, the vampire.
Lyanna resembled a schoolgirl caught by the principal for doing something wrong and appeared extremely sheepish at this moment. She quickly bowed to Nathan, respectfully greeting him with her head lowered, "Greetings, Mr. Cross." She originally wanted to address Nathan as "Your Majesty".
However, upon recalling that Nathan was not willing to be the king of the vampires, she quickly corrected herself and addressed Nathan as "Mr. Cross".
Nathan said coldly, "Didn't I instruct you to live in seclusion, away from human society? You dare defy my orders and show up before me? Tell me. Are you seeking death?"
Lyanna quickly said, "I have no
intention of defying your orders.
"After a unanimous decision among several vampire princes, I was sent to meet you. We would like to invite you to preside over the vampires. If things continue like this for the vampires, I'm afraid they'll soon wither away."
Nathan said indifferently, "Are you all done licking your wounds already? I was already generous enough to give you a way out. If you're still
hoping to make a comebacket
I'd
suggest you give up on that idea. If you dare to cause trouble again, I will personally wipe you all out."
Lyanna murmured softly, "Mr. Cross, if you wipe us out, the others might not be pleased. Hunting us the vampires is the Curia's duty. If you take over their job, the Curia will have even more issues with you." Nathan said angrily, "What on earth are you mumbling about?"
Lyanna quickly replied, "It's nothing. I mean, if you won't allow us to make our presence known, we'll just stay put obediently. But Mr. Cross, you must take good care of yourself and be wary of the Curia." Nathan said indifferently, "I don't need your concern, just get lost."
Lyanna said, "Very well."
She spoke these words, yet she did not leave. Instead, she found herself inadvertently gazing at Hepburn's body on the ground.
Nathan, holding back his anger, asked, "What are you looking at?"
Lyanna quickly shook her head, "I didn't see anything."
Immediately after, she asked deliberately, "Mr. Cross, is she your partner?"
Nathan clenched his fists, feeling the urge to punch her out of his sight. He said coldly, "No. Are you done with your prattling? If you're done, you can leave."
Lyanna grunted in response.
"I just saw you holding her and thought she was one of your close female friends. It's such a pity to be gone so soon. She was young and beautiful."
Nathan nodded, squinting at the young and beautiful Lyanna. His voice was calm yet laced with a hint of murderous intent. "Indeed, it's such a pity for someone so young and beautiful to die. But if one courts death, they can't blame anyone else." Lyanna was no fool, she immediately realized that Nathan was out to kill her.
She dared not make a fuss anymore, hurriedly saying, "Mr. Cross, please don't misunderstand. I'm not taking pleasure in your misfortune. I just want to say, if she is your beloved, with your current capabilities, you can most certainly bring her back from the dead."
