Salute To The General
Chapter 3418 The Fallen Angel

Resurrected? How could this be possible?

Naturally, Nathan didn't believe it.

Lyanna could also discern Nathan's thoughts from his expression.

With a captivating smile, she proceeded to explain, "Mr. Cross, despite your reluctance to acknowledge it, the truth remains that you are already a vampire. You are our rightful king. Should you so choose, you possess the power to effortlessly revive her, even in death's wake. Naturally, upon her resurrection, she will no longer be human, but rather a vampire." Resurrected as a vampire!

Suddenly, Nathan remembered something.

After he killed Max, the latter was resurrected by a vampire and ended up as a vampire, too.

He never knew he would possess the ability to turn a person who had just died into a vampire.

However, Hepburn was the Holy Maiden of Curia when she was alive and harbored a deep-seated hatred for the vampires.

With that thought in mind, Nathan said coldly, "Thank you for your reminder, but not everyone is willing to become a vampire. I believe that Hepburn would rather choose death than accept herself becoming a vampire."

To his surprise, Lyanna retorted, "You are not Hepburn, so how can you claim to know her thoughts? Furthermore, why should vampires be considered inferior to humans? As long as one possesses a kind heart, there is no inherent distinction between vampires and humans. Conversely, if a human's heart is wicked, they can be even more cruel and merciless than vampires."

Nathan agreed with that.

After all, he felt the same way.

He might be a vampire now, but he was still true to himself. A change in identity couldn't alter his original intentions.

Thus, he began to wonder if he should save Hepburn.

Lyanna said softly, "Mr. Cross, if you want to save her, you must act quickly. Otherwise, if she's completely dead, it'll be too late for you to save her."

Nathan was still hesitating.

Lyanna continued, "I understand that you harbor numerous concerns, but sometimes it is unnecessary to dwell on them excessively. Simply listen to the yearnings of your heart. If it impels you to save her, then do so. However, if your heart advises against it, then you may disregard my words as if they were never uttered."

Nathan gritted his teeth. "Fine, I'll save her! But how should I do that?"

Lyanna orchestrated her actions with the explicit intention of leading Nathan toward accepting his role as the vampire king. She yearned for him to gradually come to terms with his identity and, ultimately, to embrace it fully. Her ultimate aspiration was for Nathan to assume leadership among the vampires.

A smile illuminated her face upon learning of Nathan's willingness to employ the vampires' powers to resurrect Hepburn.

"I'll teach you. It's quite simple. All it takes is a small awakening ritual, and a drop of your fresh blood."

With swift and precise movements, she drew a hexagram symbol on the ground.

She then placed Hepburn's body in the middle of the hexagram.

The awakening ceremony commenced.

Her countenance transformed into one of solemnity, her eyes filled with reverence as she commenced a slow, melodious chant. "Once an angel of God, filled with love for humanity, you now lie in eternal slumber beneath the earth. Yet sense your restless spirit, unable to replace solace. A lingering affection remains in your heart, a reluctance to depart this world, a longing for the one you hold dear. In the name of the vampire king, invoking the power of love, I call upon you, Fallen Angel, to awaken from your deep slumber."

Perchance it was the enchantment woven within Lyanna's voice, or perhaps it was the ancient potency of the awakening ritual itself.

Regardless, Hepburn, who had already succumbed to death, appeared undeniably affected by Lyanna's beckoning. A palpable resonance stirred within her, rekindling her connection to the mortal realm and reigniting her lingering attachment to loved ones. A subtle twitch coursed through her fingertips.

Observing Hepburn intently, Lyanna

contained her exhilaration and

whispered to Nathan, her voice

hushed with anticipation, "She has responded. The ties that bind her fo this world and the profound love she holds for her dear ones prevent her from departing. She is willing to be résurrected. Act swiftly, Mr. Cross. Prick your finger and let a single drop of your fresh blood grace her crimson lips to resurrect her."

After a moment of hesitation, Nathan used the sharp edge of Snowsphere to cut his own finger. A drop of his fresh blood fell onto Hepburn's lips.

In the next moment, an unbelievable scene unfolded.
