Salute To The General -
Chapter 3423 Guidance
At this moment, hundreds of bishops from various places were gathered at The Sliver Club in Channing.
Word spread swiftly about Baccio's arrival from the Curia, and upon hearing the news, bishops from far and wide hastened to Channing to extend a collective welcome to Baccio. "Greetings, Elder Baccio!"
The bishops paid their respects to Baccio.
Baccio acknowledged the assembled multitude of bishops with a subtle nod, his gaze encompassing the vast gathering. "Greetings, everyone. I assume you are all aware of the purpose behind my presence here, sparing us the need for prolonged explanations. Today, I come with a single request for each of you. I implore you to employ all the resources and connections at your disposal to swiftly ascertain the location of the Holy Maiden."
Everyone chimed in unison, "Understood!"
Baccio waved his hand. "Go on, don't stay here any longer."
"Yes!"
With a sense of urgency, the hundreds of bishops swiftly dispersed, leveraging their extensive networks and affiliations to commence a thorough search for Hepburn's location.
Baccio, along with the Top Three Shadow Guards of the Curia, arrived at the lounge.
Eddie said, "Elder Baccio, while the Curia boasts a hundred bishops who have been operating here for an extended period, I'm afraid it won't be as straightforward as relying solely on them to locate Hepburn."
Baccio took a sip of the coffee and said lightly, "It's always wise to explore multiple avenues. Naturally, we cannot rely solely on the Curia's efforts. The three of you should not remain idle either. It's time to take action and commence your own investigations to uncover Hepburn's whereabouts."
Eddie and the other two responded in unison, "Got it!"
Nevertheless, Eddie couldn't help but ask again, "Elder Baccio, while your divination revealed that Hepburn is located in Eurasia, specifically in the South, the region is vast, akin to searching for a needle in a haystack. Could you perhaps offer us some additional guidance or insights to aid in our search?"
Baccio reiterated his previous instructions with a hint of exasperation. "I have already conveyed this to you three. The divination foretells Hepburn's transformation into a Fallen Angel, which implies the likelihood of her having turned into a vampire. If she has indeed become a vampire, there must be other vampires in close proximity. These local vampires require a fresh blood supply. Stay vigilant for any reports of sudden disappearances or unexplained deaths in the South. Additionally, investigate the hospitals for any instances of private blood purchases or occurrences of blood bank robberies. These leads might yield valuable information."
Eddie's eyes lit up. "Thank you for your reminder, Elder Baccio!"
With that, he stood up and left with his two companions.
Under the veil of darkness, a black sedan silently pulled up in front of a luxurious villa at Bridewater Residence in Channing.
A man, donning a baseball cap, emerged from the vehicle, carefully clutching a foam box in his arms.
He pressed the doorbell.
Shortly after, a tall, stunningly beautiful Adrunian woman stepped out in high heels.
It was none other than Lyanna.
The man in the baseball cap couldn't help but gulp silently as he admired Lyanna's slender figure. With a sly grin, he said, "Gorgeous, I've brought you the blood packs you asked for."
Lyanna nodded and reached out to take the box.
However, the man in the baseball cap took a step back.
Lyanna frowned. "What's wrong?"
The man in the baseball cap chuckled. "The blood bank is running low recently. I think it's too risky for me to steal blood from the hospital and sell it to you. The benefits simply don't outweigh the risks."
Lyanna said, "I see. You're trying to hike up the price."
BUMS
The man in the baseball cap said cheerfully, "Gorgeous, you live in such a nice place, so you wouldn't mind paying a little extra money, would you?"
Lyanna asked coldly, "How much more do you want to add?"
Upon hearing this, the man in the baseball cap immediately said, "Double. The blood in this box cost one hundred thousand."
Lyanna pulled out a stack of cash and tossed it to him. "This should be enough. Take the money and get lost. Remember, keep your lips sealed, or bear the consequences."
The man sporting the baseball cap couldn't contain his delight as he received the desired sum of money Handing over the item to Lyanna, e reassured her repeatedly of his understanding. With a contented grin adorning his face, he pocketed the money and departed, humming a cheerful tune.
Rather than returning to work at the hospital, he drove directly to a shanty town where his lover, Abigail Hoover, resided.
Flush with recent earnings, he eagerly anticipated sharing some positive news with his beloved.
He had just reached the front door when he heard the faint sound of a man's voice coming from inside.
At once, he scowled and cursed, "You b*tch! How dare you see other men behind my back!"
Taking out his key, he unlocked the door and stormed into the house angrily.
He froze the moment he entered the living room.
A middle-aged man from Adrune was sitting on the sofa, questioning Abigail.
Positioned behind him were two companions, their countenances devoid of emotion, resembling stoic butchers.
Abigail appeared visibly terrified by the presence of these three individuals, her complexion drained of color as she trembled uncontrollably.
