Salute To The General -
Chapter 3466 Sharing Firepower
Soon, Nathan and his group arrived at Sky Prison.
Inside the heavily guarded prison, Wolfric and his companions finally met the three aliens.
They were all taken aback when they saw the aliens with the body of a demigod and the head of an octopus.
One by one, they all revealed expressions of awe.
After that, Nathan asked a researcher to introduce everyone to the recent research replaceings.
"These three aliens all hail from a planet in outer space called the Divine Realm. The aliens there claim to be gods. The three of them haven't yet passed the test of adulthood, so they are merely gods-in-training. Hence, they are referred to as Demigods. "Even so, they possess a physical strength a hundred times greater than us humans. "Their strength, speed, and endurance far surpass humans, and their lifespan is tenfold or even dozens of times longer than ours. It is said that in the Divine Realm, the gods who rank above them are even more powerful..."
Wolfric, Leopold, and the others listened with astonishment.
Quite a few people on the scene were also cooking up their own little schemes.
In recent years, numerous countries have been conducting experiments on supermen, superhumans, and super-soldiers. Their goal was to create supremely powerful human soldiers.
Among them, Ariarica's Project Genesis was the most famous, and it produced quite a number of super-soldiers.
However, those super-soldiers pale in comparison to those Demigods.
For a moment, many war gods from various countries at the scene were secretly thinking about the same thing. They were wondering about enhancing the combat power of their super-soldiers by studying the aliens. By doing that, they would gain an advantage in dominating the Earth, and even the universe, in the future.
That was especially the case for Jetroina's God of War, Eiken.
Although his eyes were fixed on the three Demigods before him, his pupils were cunningly darting around as he schemed.
He narrowed his eyes, casually remarking, "The aliens are truly breathtaking. They're so mysterious, so formidable."
"Mr. Cross, you mentioned that we can only participate in the research under the leadership of your Eurasian team. This might be a bit inappropriate, don't you think?"
Nathan looked at Eiken coldly. "What, do you have a problem?"
Eiken chuckled. "No, no problem. I
just want to offer some suggestions. After all, we are from different countries. It would be a bit
inconvenient to send scientists over to your place for research. How about this? Let's study these three Demigods separately. One stays with you in Eurasia; one goes to the western countries with Ariarica as the leader; and another one goes to Remdik and its allied countries. Let's each research the aliens separately and then share our replaceings. How does that sound?"
Wolfric's eyes lit up when he heard that.
Leopold also felt his heart flutter.
Gods of War from various countries at the scene were all looking at Nathan.
Naturally, Nathan understood Eiken's and the others' agenda.
He sneered in his mind before saying "I'm afraid that may not be a good idea."
Wolfric quickly asked, "Why is that not a good idea? It's convenient for scientists from all countries to do it that way Additionally, it allows to conduct their own research without interfering with each other. Plus, the research results can shared. What's not to like about that?"
With a teasing tone, Eiken said, "Unless, Mr. Cross, you don't want us to conduct real research. You want us to research under your surveillance. Isn't that a bit petty of you?"
Nathan's internal scoff grew stronger, but he said aloud, "It's not that I'm petty. However, I captured these three Demigods, and I'm afraid they'll retaliate. If you take away two Demigods and the aliens retaliate against you, what will you do then?"
Upon hearing that, Wolfric, Eiken, and the others all responded in unison, "We're not afraid. This is what we asked for. If we really face retaliation from the aliens, it'll be our own fault. We would never blame you, Mr. Cross."
Seeing that situation, Nathan responded, "All right. Since you all insist so strongly, let's follow your suggestion. You can take the two Demigods with you."
Everyone was overjoyed. Fearing that Nathan might change his mind halfway, both Wolfric's and Leopold's groups hastily left Eurasia on the same day with a Demigod.
Colin was somewhat puzzled. He couldn't help but ask Nathan, "Mr. Cross, why did you let them take away two of the Demigods we worked so hard to capture?"
Nathan said calmly, "Those three
Demigods claimed that their
companions would come to rescue them and seek revenge. Wolfric, Eiken, and the others haven't contributed anything. Yet, they're already involved in the Demigod research. It's not because I'm generous, but because I have something planned. I've allowed them to take two Demigods because if the aliens retaliate, they can help us bear some of the assault. We can't possibly bear all the risks and let them reap all the benefits, now can we?"
Upon hearing those words, Colin finally understood the profound meaning behind Nathan's words. Excitedly, he exclaimed, "I see!"
