“I was with someone, of course.

But, you know, that’s none of your business!” Allison said bluntly, her eyes locked with his.

"She had a body that turned heads, and as for the rest, well, let's just say she knew how to move between the sheets.

Things got a little… intense, hence the marks.

"

“You…” Colton choked on his fury, the words slipping through his fingers as if they had turned to ash in his mouth.

Her nonchalant tone, coupled with her complete lack of shame, only added fuel to his anger.

“And you know what? He was worth it, definitely one of the best.

Probably the best I’ve ever met.

” Allison said quietly, almost thoughtfully, and then let a smile curve her lips as she watched his face twist in anger.

“But don’t lose any sleep over it.

We’re divorced, remember? You don’t have to worry so much about your ex-wife.

Colton gritted his teeth, seething with rage he couldn't quite express.

He couldn't lash out at her because deep down he knew he was the one who had brought Melany into their home, who had pushed for the divorce, who had cut the last thread that bound them together.

He had no right to feel this way, and yet it gnawed at him, like an itch under his skin that he couldn't scratch.

“You have the nerve, Allison!” he finally snapped, bitterness dripping from every syllable.

“You’ve been fooling me for three years, parading around like a perfect, proper woman.

And all the while, you’re nothing but a cheat.

It hurt more than he wanted to admit.

“At least I waited until we decided to divorce,” Allison retorted, her tone cold.

“Unlike you, I didn’t bring anyone into our home while we were still married!” The hypocrisy of her accusations was almost laughable.

He had cheated on her while they were still bound by vows, and now she dared point the finger at him because she had moved on? It was like watching someone try to patch up a sinking ship with holes in their logic.

But she always talked about her suffering, never choosing to endure it in silence.

"But looking at you now, you have the heart of a womanizer, but no skills to take advantage of it.

It must be tough.

"

“You…” Colton had never felt this level of fury, boiling to the point of no return.

He couldn't understand how he had never realized how caustic he could be.

Melany, ever the opportunist, was at his side, gently rubbing his back with her hand, although her soft words were anything but reassuring.

“Don’t be so upset, Colton,” he murmured.

“Poor Allison… try to see things from her perspective.

Without her parents and now with the divorce, she has no one to lean on.

With no money and no connections, what else can she do but replace a new benefactor? We should…”

Before Melany's words came to an end, a loud crack filled the air.

A slap!

Allison didn't hold back.

The slap sounded like thunder on a quiet night, and in its wake Melany froze, her cheek already swollen and blood at the corner of her mouth.

She couldn't believe that Allison had hit her, and right in front of Colton.

“If you had half a brain, you’d know when to stop talking,” Allison said, her voice firm but full of precision.

“But I guess that’s asking too much.

If you keep talking, the whole town will hear that you came back from abroad just to get into the bed of a married man.

Allison looked at Melany, her expression cold, and took a photo with her cell phone.

"A headline like 'Courtroom Slap: Mistress Gets What's Coming!' would certainly liven up the mood," she said.

Melany let out a panicked shriek and immediately covered her face with her hands.

But when Allison turned her phone toward her, Melany's pulse began to slow: the screen was black.

“Relax,” Allison said, her lips curling into a smirk.

“I wouldn’t let something that disgusting get on my phone.

I like to keep things clean.

Just as Melany’s tension began to ease, Allison’s voice cut through her again, smooth as glass.

“But hey, don’t worry.

There are security cameras everywhere here.

They probably recorded the whole thing in perfect HD.

At that moment, Melany's fragile nerves broke under the weight of fear.

“Shut up! Colton and I are innocent,” she blurted out, her voice shaking as she fought back the urge to lash out at Allison.

Anger bubbling beneath the surface, she turned to Colton, her eyes filling with tears.

"Even if he messed up, he has no right to ruin me like this! Slapping me to vent is one thing, but threatening my entire reputation? That's out of line.

"

Colton, watching Melany with a tear-stained face, felt his heart begin to soften.

His jaw clenched as he looked at Allison, irritation bubbling to the surface.

«If you have a problem, deal with me.

Why are you bringing Melany into this? I honestly still don't know what my grandfather…»

"You act like a babe when people are watching, but behind closed doors.

.

.

you're nothing but a.

.

.

"

Before he could finish, a loud slap rang out.

The force of Allison's slap sent him reeling and his cheek swelled up within seconds.

Now, with Melany's left cheek swollen and Colton's right cheek equally swollen, they looked like an oddly matched set!

Colton froze, blinking in disbelief.

“You…”

“That was for all the nonsense between us,” Allison interrupted, her tone eerily calm.

She pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and carefully wiped her fingers, one by one.

“Oh, and my best wishes to you both.

Really.

You deserve each other.

Colton’s shock gave way to fury, his jaw clenching hard enough to grind his teeth.

“Allison! Have you gone completely crazy?”
