110- Early and eating

My half of the closet has at least twice as much in it as it did yesterday morning. Which still isn’t thatmuch since most of my things are at my place, but still. Did Bellamy put some of his stuff over heretoo? I sort through and nope. Every single additional item is in my size. Hoodies, a dress, a couplepairs of shorts. Each item is something I would have picked for myself. Each item is hanging there, perfectly new looking but with no tags. Bellamy must have gotten more than I thought when we wentshopping. I didn’t see any of this stuff get purchased. My eyes narrow. How much did he spend? I haveclothes already, I didn’t need new ones. Although some of the items DO look really comfortable.Inspiration strikes and I check the little bit that’s over by the dresser. Sure enough, there are acollection of tags that have been cut off the new items. I check the price of a few items but then I haveto stop because I’m starting to feel nauseous. As someone who buys most of my clothes second hand, the cost of these clothes is insane. They’re not fancy brand names or anything, I suspect Bellamyknows I would object to that. But they’re nice, good quality items, and definitely completely new. Part ofme wants to turn them down, but I know that will hurt Bellamy’s feelings. Buying and providing me withclothes is a big deal to him and it’s not like he can’t afford it. I decide to let this one slide. I just hope hedoesn’t overdo it too much. There’s only so much closet space after all!

I step into the ensuite and get dressed in a soft medium blue hoodie that Bellamy must have gotten aswell as a grey tank top and black leggings that I already had with me. I consider shoes and have torepress a sigh when I realise there is a brand new pair of boots in my size that have ‘magically‘appeared in the closet. I decide to just slip on a thick pair of grey socks and call it done. I leaveBellamy’s room, holding the door handle to stop it from clicking as it closes and pulling it closed slowly.Only then do I carefully, gently turn the handle back into place and release it. Megan’s voice behind memakes me jump.

“Sneaking out?” I nearly leap out of my skin.

“Bellamy is still sleeping.” I answer. I should have known that morning person Megan would be up.Plus, I know she still isn’t sleeping amazingly well. She looks at my face critically.

“Bad night?” She asks. I nod and give a half shrug. She leads me into the main bathroom and gets awashcloth. She soaks it in cool water then has me lay it over my eyes for a few minutes to soothethem. While I sit there with my eyes closed she moves around the bathroom. I can hear the sound ofher hair pulling through a brush.

“Did you and Bellamy fight?” She asks calmly. I shake my head so hard that the washcloth falls off myeyes.

“No, definitely not. I just had bad dreams… all night.” I sigh. Megan repeats my sigh..

“I know the feeling.”

“This is a disgusting time to wake up. I can’t believe you wake up this early on purpose.” I

add, changing the subject and trying to brighten the mood. Megan winks at me.

“Not everyone likes to stay up all night, you psycho.” She answers. I shrug.

“That’s true. There is one bright side to being up this early.”

“Yeah?”

“Yep. We have heaps of time so let’s make the most epic breakfast ever. I’m thinking pancakes, eggs, the works.” A grin breaks out across Megan’s face.

“That sounds like a brilliant idea.”

Megan and I don’t just make pancakes and eggs. We make toast, bacon, muffins, sausages, hashbrowns and a whole cereal station. Only to be let down when we realised that we are out of juice andhave enough for like, one person to have coffee. Megan collapses into a stool at the bench, her head inher hands sulking.

“This was so close to being perfect.” She sighs. I think for a moment then grin.

“I have a solution!” I grab my phone and text Darrien.

Ryann- Megan and I made a fancy breakfast, but we don’t have enough coffee or orange juice.

If you can bring those items for us we might be willing to share.

Darrien- ETA 15 minutes. Just got to stop at the store. See you soon!

After a moment’s thought, I send a second message to Aaron.

Ryann- If you’re planning to stop by this morning, Megan and I made breakfast. Come when you’reready.

Aaron-

With breakfast all ready, I head upstairs to wake Bellamy. I get to the edge of the bed and stop. I’venever actually purposefully woken him before. I kind of awkwardly place a hand on his shoulder andshake a little.

“Bellamy?” I say quietly. He groans and his eyes crack open.

“What time is it?” He grumbles. I shrug.

“Not sure, about eight maybe?” I answer. He groans again. He must be more tired than I thought.

“Megan and I made breakfast, Darrien and Aaron are joining us. Come down when you’re ready, okay?” I move to get up but he grabs my hand and pulls me back down. I stumble and collapse into hischest. He gives me a sleepy smile, his golden eyes staring into mine.

“Hey you.” He greets me, I can’t help but giggle.

“Hi, good morning. Are you gonna come have breakfast with us?” I ask again.

“Mmh yes.” He responds, but he makes no effort to move, just wraps his arms around my waist andcloses his eyes again. We stay like that for a minute before I say anything.

“Uh, Bellamy?” He groans and rolls us over so that I’m on the bed properly before he pushes. himselfup onto his elbows. He leans in, kisses me on the forehead then sits up.

“I know, breakfast. I’m coming. Just give me a minute. Wait here for me.”

By the time Bellamy is showered, dressed and ready, Aaron and Darrien have both arrived. Althoughno one has started eating. Clearly they were waiting for us. Megan and I laid out the entire array ofbreakfast items on the rarely used dining table and now there is the addition of a pot of hot coffee and abottle of my favourite orange juice. It looks pretty perfect. Bellamy raises an eyebrow.

“I see you ladies have been busy. This isn’t quite what I imagined when you said it was time forbreakfast. Good job.” He says approvingly.

“It was Ryann’s idea.” Megan calls out. We all sit down to eat, and it’s just lovely. I’ve never really had a‘family meal‘ like this. But that’s what it is. I eat until I’m ready to be sick, then I sit back and watch allthe others as they absolutely demolish the remaining food. Even Megan, despite being smaller than theguys, doesn’t stop eating until there is nothing left. When they finish I sit back in shock. Darrien is theone who explains.

“Shifter metabolism. We can eat a lot.” I nod my understanding. I guess that makes sense, it’s thesame reason Megan gave for not being totally hungover that one time. I suspect I am going to grow toresent that at some point.
