Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 732 You Don't Believe Me!

Sean felt a chill run down her spine at the thought of that possibility.

She knew Luke hated her so much that there was no way he would let her keep the baby.

However, after having the examination at the hospital, Sean was sure she was pregnant.

If Luke knew about it, he would ask her to get an abortion, but Sean didn't want to. She wanted to keep the baby!

Seeing Sean's terribly pale face, Sydney got worried. "Sean, are you okay? Your face looks awful."

Sean bowed her head slightly and replied, "I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Sydney stared at Sean. She doubted it.

'How can she be okay when her face looks so pale?'

"I'm fine, really." Sean reassured Sydney. Then she asked again, "Ms. Raines, you still haven't told me why Mr. Chase asked if I was abnormal. What did he mean?"

"I'm sorry, Sean. I'm not sure about that. I asked Luke, but he didn't tell me. He just said that something happened between you guys, so he asked me if you were abnormal lately, nothing more." Sydney gave an awkward smile.

Sean bit her lower lip. She was apprehensive. "What did you tell Mr. Chase?"

If Sydney told Luke Sean had been vomiting now and then, it would be a problem.

"I told him you were fine." Sydney shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know what Sean was worried about.

Sean looked up at Sydney, "Did you tell Mr. Chase my stomach was not feeling well lately?"

Sydney shook her head, "No, it's not a big deal, nothing serious. I didn't tell him."

Sean breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Sydney with grateful eyes. "I see. Thank you, Ms. Raines." She bowed towards Sydney.

'Fortunately, Ms. Raines believes I just have an upset stomach. If she'd told Mr. Chase if I'd been vomiting lately, Mr. Chase would have realized I am pregnant. He would have sent me to the hospital to have an abortion.'

Sydney was confused. She didn't understand why Sean thanked her and why the secretary was relieved to learn what she told Luke.

Sydney waved her hand. "It's okay. I just told Luke what I knew. But what happened between you guys?"

Sean lowered her head and didn't answer.

Sydney understood that Sean didn't want to tell her. She shook her head, "It's okay if you don't want to tell me. But if there's a misunderstanding between you guys, talk to Luke. Don't let it come between you, or it will be more difficult to clear it up later. If you want to be with Luke, talk to him as soon as possible."

Sean forced a smile, "I know that. Thank you, Ms. Raines."

"All right. You may leave now." Sydney waved her hand.

Sean took a breath, turned around, and headed for the door.

But her steps were so much heavier now than when she came in earlier.

Bang!

The office door slammed shut.

A large palm suddenly covered Sydney's eyes. She couldn't see anything.

Sydney took Julien's hand off her eyes, turned her head to him, and asked, "What are you doing?"

"You've been watching her for too long." Julien replied as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

Sydney cried out, "I'll just watch Sean go out. Are you jealous of that?"

Julien grunted, "You can only look at me in that way."

"You're being childish." Sydney rolled her eyes at him. Then she picked up the coffee pot and refilled her cup with some hot coffee.

Julien pushed his cup over, "I'll have some too."

Sydney didn't say anything. She refilled his cup.

Julien took a sip of coffee with satisfaction and then said, "Your secretary is afraid of Luke."

Sydney responded, "I can see that, too. When Sean heard Luke ask if she was abnormal lately, her face turned pale. And from the questions she asked me later, I guess she was afraid of what Luke might know."

"Do you want to know what she was afraid of?" Julien looked at Sydney.

Sydney raised her eyebrows, "You know that?"

"No." Julien shook his head.

Sydney curled her lips, "Then why do you ask?"

"If you want to replace that out, I can have someone look into it. Even if Luke wanted to keep it a secret, he couldn't hide it from me." Julien kissed Sydney on the forehead.

But Sydney refused, "No, Luke is my friend. I'm not going to investigate him. That would be very disrespectful to him."

"OK," Julien shrugged his shoulders, "I don't want you to care too much about him either."

Sydney gave a wry smile, "Why are you always jealous?"

"I don't have a choice. There are too many men attracted to you." Julien said as he rubbed her cheek with his thumb.

Sydney's cheek felt itchy. She grabbed his wrist and took his hand off her face. "It's not just me. There are a lot of women attracted to you, too. I remember you've been the most wanted bachelor by women for years. Congratulations!"

Sydney tilted her head to look at Julien with a faint smile on her face.

Julien frowned, "It's all nonsense. I never cared about it. I only belong to you."

He lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.

Sydney happened to be tilting her head upward, which was convenient for Julien to kiss her.

Sydney didn't expect Julien to suddenly kiss her on the lips. She froze. Then she covered her mouth and glared at him, "You're taking advantage of me!"

Julien laughed lightly.

Sydney pushed him away and hissed, "Sweet talk."

"That's not sweet talk." Julien took her into his arms again and looked down at her, "It's heartfelt!"

Look at his eyes! How sincere they were!

Seeing the serious look on Julien's face, Sydney rolled her eyes.

Julien frowned, and then he reached up to cup her chin, "You don't believe me?"

"Yes." Sydney slapped his hand away.

Julien glanced at the back of his hand and then at her, "I don't believe you unless you say you believe me."

"No!" Sydney turned her head away.

Julien turned her head back to face him, "If you don't say it, you don't believe me."

"Stop it." Sydney touched her forehead as if she had a headache.

'Why is Julien so annoying?

'He wasn't like this before!

'Why did he become like this?'

Sydney fell into silence.

Seeing her wander off, Julien asked, "I'm talking to you. What are you thinking about?"

Sydney's eyes twinkled. She snapped back to her senses. "What? What did you say?"

Blue veins stood out on Julien's temples. His voice trailed off, "I said you had to say you believe me."

"You're still thinking about that." Sydney felt helpless, "Why do you have to ask me to say it? I believe you in my heart. Isn't that enough?"
