Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! -
Chapter 777 Julien's Nagging
Julien gave a smug smile, "I have money. It's no big deal!"
Sydney rolled her eyes at him.
'Well, he's rich indeed.'
If it wasn't for the fact that she knew Julien very well, she would have suspected that he was deliberately showing off his wealth to her!
Sydney shook her head resignedly, "Okay. I know you're rich. Go to the meeting. Zach has already left."
Julien nodded, "Okay. I'm leaving. Stay here. If you don't want to take a nap, you can walk around in the company or you can call a secretary in to keep your company. Here are snacks and drinks. If you need anything else, tell the secretary."
Listening to Julien ramble on, Sydney held her forehead with one hand. "I know. I won't be bored. I told you not to arrange everything for me, but you forgot it again so quickly. Stop babbling, please! Why do you keep nagging? I've never seen you like this before. What's wrong with you?"
Julien stared at her and said, "I'm just worried about you."
"There's nothing to worry about me. I'm not a child. Go ahead. Just get out of here."
Sydney chuckled and got out of his arms. Then she turned him around and pushed him on his back toward the door.
As Sydney pushed Julien, he walked slowly forward. How else could Sydney push him forward?
These two were like playing a sweet game.
Sydney pushed Julien out of the door and then pulled his handkerchief out of his suit pocket.
Julien wondered what she was going to do. The next second, Sydney waved the handkerchief and said, "Go ahead. Go to the meeting! Don't keep them waiting. I'll be waiting for you here." Sydney promised to stay with Julien at the office today, so she wouldn't leave.
Watching her wave the handkerchief, Julien understood that she was waving goodbye to him. He couldn't help but laugh.
This was the first time he had seen Sydney say goodbye to him in this way. He loved it.
For anything she did for him, he loved it.
"I'll be back soon." Julien nodded slightly and then walked forward.
After a few steps, he suddenly stopped.
Sydney was confused. She dropped her hand and asked, "What's wrong? Did you forget something?"
"Yes." Julien nodded his head. Then he turned around and strode toward her.
He approached her in no time. Then under Sydney's puzzled gaze, he reached out one hand to wrap around her waist and lifted her chin with the other. He then leaned down and kissed her on the lips. Sydney's eyes widened. She froze.
By the time she came back to her senses, Julien had straightened his back, but he didn't let go of her or withdraw his hand from her chin.
Sydney blinked. She stared at Julien with a flushed face. "Is that what you forgot?"
Julien looked down at her and rubbed her lips with his thumb. He whispered in a husky voice, "Yes."
Sydney blushed even more at Julien's whisper.
He had just stopped in his track suddenly. He looked so serious and answered her in a solemn tone.
Sydney believed he had forgotten something important, and she got nervous.
However, he just wanted to kiss her!
Sydney felt angry yet funny. "Now you've done it. You can go now."
She had urged him to go to the meeting several times, but Julien was still there.
She was worried that if the shareholders knew that Julien was late for the meeting because he was clinging to her, they would blame her.
"I'm leaving." Julien swallowed and answered as he let go of her.
But his hand was still cupping her chin, and his eyes were still fastened on her, his eyes darker.
Sydney's heart sank.
'He's not going to do anything to me, is he?'
Sydney's instincts proved to be right.
Julien suddenly leaned in and kissed Sydney's lips again.
This time, he kissed her harder, much harder than the last time.
Sydney felt pain in her lips.
She slapped Julien on the arm and complained, "Why did you bite me?"
Although his kiss was quick, he bit her lip before he moved his lips away, so she felt pain on her lips.
Her lips might swell up after a while.
Sydney used some force when she slapped his arm. Julien felt a little pain in his arm, but he was not angry. He was amused at her angry look. Obviously, he was proud of himself!
"Okay. I'm leaving." Julien finally let go of Sydney's chin. Then he rubbed her hair, turned around, and walked towards the elevator. Sydney watched as Julien walked away and lifted a hand to touch her hair where he had just rubbed it.
She noticed that her hair was messed up. It was surely Julien's fault, so she hissed, "Julien..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Julien got into the elevator and disappeared.
He rushed into the elevator like he was running away, thinking Sydney was going to be angry.
Sydney was amused. The exasperation in her heart dissipated. "Bastard! He did it on purpose!" She muttered as she was fixing her hair.
After she fixed her hair, she turned around and headed back to Julien's office.
Julien's office was large, more than twice the size of her office. It was more a presidential suite than an office.
There was a lounge, a gym, a screening room, and a swimming pool.
Sydney had never been to Flint Corporation in the six years when they were married, let alone Julien's office.
After their divorce, she came here twice to Flint Corporation as Skylight's chairperson, but she only went to the working section. She hadn't walked around the other sections of the company. Today she could use the opportunity to get a good look at Julien's office.
After she walked through his office, she exclaimed in her mind, 'His office is fantastic!'
Sydney's office was luxurious, but it couldn't be compared to Julien's.
After touring Julien's office, Sydney sat down on the couch. She took a sip of the black tea and then took out her cell phone to call Sean.
Sean answered quickly, "Ms. Raines, is Mr. Flint all right?" Sean asked worriedly.
In the morning, Sydney had called to inform Sean that she was not going to the office today because Julien had been in a car accident and she had to stay with him. Therefore, when Sydney called, Sean asked how Mr. Flint was doing.
Sydney was a friend to Sean, so when she heard that Julien had been in a car accident, she got worried.
Sydney replied with a smile, "He's fine. He's out of the hospital, and I'm in his office now."
"That's great." Sean was relieved, "It's great that Mr. Flint is okay."
"Thanks." Sydney was happy to hear Sean's enquiry. Then she got down to business, "By the way, have you been to the factory yet? How's that renovation coming along?"
