Olivia looks at the contract in her hands, it was unbelievable that this man would draw up such an agreement. It didn’t make sense that he would stipulate something like that, it was absurd. Although she didn’t give a damn about boyfriends, after all, she didn’t have a boyfriend. But it was irritating that he was so….

She looked up, and out of nowhere her eyes met his… her heart began to thud in her chest, how could she do that? If every now and then her treacherous emotions wanted to leave her exposed.

-Do you have problems with stipulations?

-Well…

-Yes or no? -Caleb frowns.

-I don’t.

-Will you sign? -He questions his answer. But Olivia is silent for a few seconds.

-Yes, I’ll sign.

Caleb leans his body back from the couch; it was a relief to him that she would take the job. His daughters needed a nanny, and Olivia was the one for the job. Because of her character, she was the key to taming his daughters.

The CEO watches her sign the document, and half smiles. Now he would have her for him, well, she would work for him. It had been worth all the prodding, even though he wasn’t convinced about hiring her, but in the end he realised she was the right one.

He watched Olivia’s features as he wrote her name on the contract sheets. She was a very beautiful woman, with that contoured face, and those accentuated lips. Without even make-up on, her cheeks wore quite a beautiful colour, the colour of her skin also played a part, it was so off-white, almost like velvet.

The nakedness of her neck attracted the eyes of any man, it was elongated, and full of some marked moles. Her skin seemed to be covered by a fine layer of transparent hair, at that moment and perhaps by instinct, Caleb bites his lips.

He wondered what it felt like to k**s and bite the curve of her neck, would it be as soft as he was imagining.

Suddenly he found himself thinking, what was he thinking, kissing his daughters’ nanny? He was crazy, with how much it had cost him to hire her. Besides, with how badly she treated him, it was clear that she wasn’t the least bit attracted to him. She was the first woman who didn’t know anything about his life, and she didn’t seem to mind.

What if it bothered him?

Possibly a little, since he was used to everyone knowing who he was. Especially the women knew, but not Olivia. She kept out of the gossip. She was perfect for the job.

As she finished signing, the girl looked up. Caleb looked deep into her brown eyes and felt a small shudder inside. The CEO swallows slyly as she hands him the papers.

-What now? -She blinks, snapping him out of his musings.

-Could you start today?

-Today?! Should I sleep over?

-No, my driver will take you home tonight. I have business to attend to this evening, and I don’t want to leave you alone with the servants.

-All right, I suppose they’d better get to know me.

-Excellent,” Caleb smiles and then stands up. In that case, let’s go replace them.

Olivia lets out her breath as she stands up, she hoped she could do her job well or else she’d go bald.

As soon as they found the girls in the bedroom, Caleb spoke to them with authority.

-Olivia will be your babysitter, so please treat her well. I have to go to the office, but I promise to be back in time for dinner.

-You’re going to leave us with this one?

-Please, Talia, that’s enough.

-I’ll be back soon.

Caleb turns his body to look at Olivia with a terrified expression, it was no wonder, his daughters were tremendous.

-Are you going to be okay?

-My boss asking that doesn’t seem normal to me,” he answers without taking his eyes off the girls.

-All right, I’ll come back when I can.

-All right.

As the CEO leaves, the brunette looks at the girls. Who couldn’t take their eyes off him. Well, it was crunch time.

-Well? You tell us what we can do to get to know each other better.

-Get to know each other better? -Talia walks towards her, completely serious. If you want us to get along,” she adds as she continues to walk in her direction, at the same time that Olivia backs away. You better not try to be a hypocrite with us.

-Hypocrite?

-You all want this job so you can be close to daddy, I’m sure you’re just a dead fly trying to get into daddy’s bed. But I assure you, you’re not going to get it,” she finishes just as Olivia is out of the room.

-I’m looking for no such thing,” she defends herself.

-They all say the same thing, so you’d better start thinking about what you’re going to tell my father when he returns, that you’re going to quit.

-What?

And just then, the young girl slams the door in his face. Olivia’s mouth dropped open in shock at the girl’s reaction.

-Stepping into her daddy’s bed? They’re crazy!

Well, she wasn’t going to kid herself. She’d believed from the beginning that Caleb was looking to make her his mistress. And also that she fantasized about it a little, and well, she liked the man, too. But, she hadn’t taken the job because she was looking to sleep with her boss.

That girl was reckless, it would take a lot to win her over. Maybe the younger one would, she had to try to prevent the older one from influencing her with her bad manners. But how was he going to do that if they didn’t separate.

And now that she had been taken out of the room, she supposed there was nothing she could do but wait for them to get out of there. However, she wasn’t going to wait there like an idiot, she would go down to the kitchen and wait for them there.

[…]

Despite spending most of her time in the kitchen listening to the cooks’ gossip, Olivia never heard Caleb’s daughters come downstairs. It was so weird.

-Are the girls always in their room all day? -She asked the cooks aloud.

-They must have escaped through the window, there’s an exit they use when they don’t want to go out the door. They always do, they’re spoiled brats.

-Exit? What exit? -She stands up in complete alarm.

-Don’t panic, they must be in the pool, or tucked away in their father’s office. They like to rummage through his laptop. Especially Miss Talia.

-My God, how come they didn’t tell me this?

-Don’t worry, it’s normal for them to do what they want. Mr. Palmer doesn’t tell them anything.

-But those girls are in my care.

Now I understood Caleb very well, the servants weren’t looking out for those girls’ needs. They didn’t give a damn what happened to those girls. And she was so calm in the kitchen, waiting for them, and it turns out they’d already left the room.

She looked at the time on her watch, noticing that Caleb’s arrival time was coming up. And she knew nothing about her daughters on their first day. She was a lousy babysitter… Olivia ran to the pool area, replaceing it empty.

Then she went straight to Caleb’s office, hoping, praying to heaven she’d replace the girls in there. And they were, she would give them the scolding of their lives and not let them out of her sight. He had enough trouble with trying to win them over without adding more trouble with their father.

He had to try to get along with them, plus Caleb had already given him his first payment. That would get him out of a lot of trouble, he’d put up with those girls for two years, and after that he’d never see them again.

He walked down the corridor of the office, spotting the door at the end. He hurried to it, and all at once, without knocking, opened the door….

To his relief the girls were there, but to his misfortune what had happened to him was frightening.

No more, as she opened the office door, something sticky and slimy fell on her head. All of her was drenched in the whitish slime that covered her face. Olivia stood there as the thick liquid ran down her body. She didn’t know what was happening, but she knew that misfortune had befallen her the moment she signed that contract.

Suddenly, the brunette hears the mocking laughter of the girls. And as best she can, she wipes the drool from her eyes. And that’s when she sees her laughing again, both of them were on their father’s desk watching her.

-How funny you look! -says the older one.

At that, the little one comes up to her and blows up a cylinder that ends up ejecting coloured feathers all over her.

-Now you look like a carnival hen, the coloured feathers look good on you.

-What a good idea, Alma. You were right about the feathers.
