So, Shall We Get Married? -
Chapter 22
With her mouth half open and that slimy liquid running down her body, Olivia couldn’t believe what those naughty girls had done to her. What the hell was that slime?
She wipes the discharge off her face, as it was already completely covered. She shakes her hands at her sides, drool everywhere, looks up and sees the girls laughing loudly at her.
-What did you two do?
-We’re welcoming you back, or maybe saying goodbye,” they laugh again.
-This isn’t funny, what the hell did they throw at my head?
-Pego, they’re repairing the garage, and Alma and I thought a couple of feathers stuck to your body would be nice.
< pego?! =””” are you=”” savages=”” have=”” thrown=”” glue=”” in=”” my=”” hair?=”””>
-Have you gone mad? -How can you girls do this to me?
-It’s a warning! -exclaims the older one, deadly serious. Just so you know we don’t want you here as our father’s nanny, let alone as our father’s mistress.
-But I’m not your father’s mistress, I’m only hired to be with you.
-Don’t play dead, we already know all the tricks of the nannies.
The space where the anger was building up was filling up, Olivia thought that if she kept working for those little devils, that space would be filled very quickly. The truth is that she wanted to give them both a spanking, and she didn’t care that they weren’t her daughters, for what they had done, they deserved a good scolding.
Suddenly, the brunette hears the sound of the door and the jingle of a set of keys. She looks at the girls and smiles, now it would be the father who would give her a good scolding for her tasteless game.
-We’ll see what their father has to say about it,” The girls look at each other’s faces, Olivia knew they wouldn’t make it out of that one. She turns around, and suddenly runs into the male figure of Caleb.
She blinks, or at least makes an attempt to, thanks to the drool she was carrying. She knew she looked ridiculous, but she didn’t care if their father scolded them for their little prank.
-What happened to you? -he asked dumbfounded.
Caleb blinked repeatedly at the sight of Olivia covered in… What the hell was that slime on her? And what was with those coloured feathers? It covered most of her face, and even some of her clothes. She actually looked very funny, as she resembled a carnival hen. She wanted to laugh herself to death, but she didn’t intend to do so. Even if it was tempting enough.
-Why is it covered with… What the f**k is that?
-It’s glue! -She looks at him with lowered eyes.
-Pego? But why is she covered in pego? And what’s with those feathers?
< Do you really think that I’ve put this shit on me all by myself? =Isn’t he seeing his daughters behind me? my gods! can’t be that he so naive=””!
-Mr. Palmer, do you think I did this to myself? -Olivia folds her arms.
-You…” The CEO looks up and sees his daughters standing behind the brunette. They both stand together, staring at the scene in silence. Girls? -He frowns.
-Dad, I swear the joke wasn’t on her. It was for the man who’s fixing the garage, we took his glue as a joke and hoped he’d look for it.
Olivie’s eyes widen in shock, “For heaven’s sake, who the hell is she working with, the children of a demon?
At that he turns around and sees them, hoping that they will at least confess to seeing him, or perhaps laugh at his appearance. Possibly that would delight them. But not even that succeeded, the boys remained completely silent and very serious. They were devils.
-In my spite? -Answer the stone in a loud voice. Why did they do this? Olivie is their nanny, it’s not right to play jokes like this on her.
-No ere pere elle, pepi,” says the little one with guilty eyes.
And he understood that, that little boy with the same sweet and innocent look, would convince the pedre. He had everything to lose against them. Celeb would not reprimand them.
-Be that as it may, they have no right to play a joke on him. Least of all with sticks and feathers.
The CEO, despite Olivie’s desire to be honest with the children, listened to her tone of voice and sounded as if she was better off. That’s not a joke, they can do and say whatever comes to them.
Olivie denied and ended up turning around, leaving and leaving, and trying to remove all that glue from his hair… without saying goodbye and silently, saying goodbye to his boss while he was supposed to be reprimanding his children.
Outside, a driver was waiting for him, who, seeing him, threw out his eyes in surprise… he preferred to ignore him and get into the car to take him away and leave.
In the meantime, Celeb told his children that he didn’t want them to do anything like that again. And that they should apologise to Olivie for his tasteless joke.
-So, they apologise to Olivie and promise that it won’t happen again.
-But she’s not here.
-What? -Celeb turns around and notices the neighbouring space. Where is she?
-She’s gone on a dare.
Celeb went looking for Olivie, but found the neighbouring hallway. She went outside and noticed that the car she had arranged for her was not there.
She had left without saying goodbye, without even hearing an apology from her children. What made him think of something, would he come back? That childhood joke was too bad, what if he didn’t come back? I knew the clauses, and I had already told him.
-He has to come back.
[…]His hair is a complete waste… I spend all the time in the world to get rid of all the glue that has been left behind. And yet I don’t remove everything completely.
Olivie lay down on the bed and let her breath go, it had only been a few hours with those children and she was totally exhausted. What would be left of the next day, and he thought that in his certainty he would carry the money that his boss had given him. If he didn’t go to work the next day, he would have to give it back, and if he did that, he would have no way to pay the rent.
Close your eyes for a moment, these guys are a nightmare. This clergyman who hurt you would replace it impossible to stop, but if you don’t want to lose your things, you must follow them.
-Although, if I had known that they were wounded, I would not sign a cherry tree.
Le cesteñe gire su cuerpo quedendo boce ebejo sobre le elmohede. Celeb was not very strict, he thought he would at least reprimand them and hurt them to apologise, but he didn’t do that. That was going to be a serious problem, because if these young girls were to blame him for being hurt, they’d look like victims in front of the stone.
Olivia’s eyes widen at that big lie, for heaven’s sake, who the hell was she working with, the daughters of a demon?
At that the brunette turns around and looks at the two of them, hoping they would at least confess the truth when they saw her, or perhaps laugh at her appearance. Possibly that would give them away. But she didn’t even get that, the girls remained completely silent and very serious. They were demons.
-In my office? -The father answered in a loud voice. Why did they do this? Olivia is their nanny, it’s not for them to play pranks like this on her.
-It wasn’t for her, daddy,” says the little girl with guilty eyes.
And he understood that, that little girl with that sweet, innocent look in her eyes, would convince the father. He had everything to lose against them. Caleb would not reprimand them.
-Be that as it may, they have no right to play a joke on anyone. Especially not with glue and feathers.
The CEO walked past Olivia to get closer to the girls, the brunette heard his tone of voice and it sounded quite soft. That wasn’t a scolding, no wonder they did and said whatever they wanted.
Olivia denied and ended up turning around, she would go home, and try to get all that glue out of her hair… without saying goodbye and silently, she left her boss’s office while he was supposedly scolding his daughters.
Outside, a driver was waiting for her, and when he saw her, his eyes widened in surprise… she chose to ignore him and get into the car to take her home.
In the meantime, Caleb was telling his daughters that he never wanted them to do anything like that again. And that they should apologize to Olivia for their tasteless prank.
-So, apologize to Olivia and promise it won’t happen again.
-But she’s not here, dad.
-What?! -Caleb turns around and notices the empty space. Where is she?
-She left a while ago.
Caleb left the office in search of Olivia, but found the hallway empty. He went outside and noticed that the car he had arranged for her was gone.
He had left without saying goodbye, without even hearing an apology from his daughters. That got him thinking, would she come back? That joke of the girls was too much, what if he didn’t come back? He knew the clauses, and he had already paid her.
-He has to come back.
[…]Her hair was a complete mess… she spent so much of the world’s time getting it all out, that she had been exhausted. And yet she didn’t get rid of it all completely.
Olivia lay back on the bed letting out her breath, it had only been a few hours with those girls and she was totally consumed. What would be left of the next day, and to think that in her purse she had the money her boss had paid her. If she didn’t go to work the next day, she would have to pay it back, and if she did that, she wouldn’t be able to pay the rent.
He closed his eyes for a moment, those girls were a nightmare. It was clear that they would make his life miserable in that house, but if he didn’t want to lose his things, he had to put up with them.
-Although, if she’d known they were so evil, she wouldn’t sign a damn thing.
The brunette turned her body face down on the pillow. Caleb wasn’t very strict, he thought he’d at least reprimand them and make them apologise, but he didn’t even do that. That was going to be a serious problem, since if those bratty little girls gave him a hard time about misbehaving, they’d look like victims in front of their father.
-Damn, he’s so arrogant, and with his daughters he turns into nothing.
The young woman closed her eyes, it was better to rest and forget about her problems for one night. Tomorrow she would make a decision about her new job.
[…]-It’s late! -Caleb exclaims, looking at the time on his watch. He’s not coming to work anymore, and all because of your heavy games, girls.
-I’m a big boy, Dad. I’m 15, I don’t need a babysitter. I can even take care of Alma by myself.
-You’re still a kid, I won’t let you stay in the house alone. No way!
Caleb gets up from the dining room table, having lost even his appetite because of Olivia’s lateness. Everything indicated that she wouldn’t be working for him anymore, and how could she not, if his daughters played a very bad trick on him. That’s why he’d left without saying goodbye, dammit! And he thought she was going to put up with his daughters.
-Dad, don’t worry about that woman. She’d better not come anymore…
And just then the doorbell rings, Caleb and the girls look out to see who it is. The maid opens the door, and the three of them see Olivia standing in the doorway.
Mentally, Caleb says to himself while keeping a smile on his face.
Talia looked at her with hatred, she couldn’t believe that after what she had done to him she had the will to go back to work. Was she a masochist? The girl frowned as she watched the brunette approach them, or rather her father.
-I’m sorry I’m so late, but I couldn’t replace a way to get to work,” she apologises only to Caleb.
-No, it’s okay. I didn’t think he’d come back to work, you know, because of what the girls did to him yesterday.
-If that happened, I’d give you plenty of notice, Mr. Palmer.
Caleb’s eldest daughter notices how Olivia was watching her father, and how her dad was watching the nanny. She suspected that one of them was up to something, and she didn’t like that at all.
-I guess the prank didn’t do much good,” Alma whispers to her sister.
-It seems so,” Talia was unhappy with Olivia, she didn’t want her in her house, or in her father’s life. Well, Dad, it looks like we still have a nanny,” Caleb turns to look at his daughters.
-And I hope they apologise to Olivia for her unseemly behaviour.
The brunette is surprised that he would say such a thing to the girls, he swore it wouldn’t happen. That’s why she had left the day before, maybe she misjudged him. He did have a temper.
-Not on your life, father,” both girls turned and walked away just like that. We’ll never accept her as our nanny.
-Talia! Alma! Come back here.
But the girls were already far away from the dining room, Olivia let out her breath and reflected on her thoughts. He definitely had no character with his daughters.
-I’m so sorry,” he turns around and looks at her with embarrassment. I’ll talk to her seriously.
-Of course!
-I have to go to work, I have an important meeting and…
-Yes, I understand, Mr. Palmer.
Caleb stares at Olivia for a moment like the perfect idiot, she looked especially beautiful that morning. And it’s not that, on the other occasions, she didn’t look pretty, but that morning… he liked her.
