Liam: Is this a party?

Me: No.

Liam: What happens at midnight then!

Stiles: You’re going to have a big sleep!

I can’t help but smile

Liam: And why aren’t the girls here?

Me: I’m here!

Stiles looks at me with a smile and I do the same.

Me: They’re joining us over there and please stop asking questions. It’s a secret terminal thing, you’ll understand in a couple of years!

He blows out his breath and settles back in his seat

Scott: Are you having problems with your phones?

I take mine out. I’m not connected. That’s weird. Even weirder, the jeep stops working.

Stiles: Not again!

Liam: Ran out of gas?

Stiles: No, I think it’s electrical…

Me: Don’t tell me it’s the alternator again!

The three boys look at me with question marks in their eyes

Me: What? I spend half my time in this Jeep! I’ve asked around!

They smile and Scott, Stiles and I go outside to look at the car’s engine.

Scott: That’s a lot of Scotch.

Me: I’d advise you not to say that in front of Stiles bro!

Stiles: I suggest you do too!

Scott: Just kidding!

We smile but Scott blows

Stiles: It’s the last night of the holidays! I really wanted us all to be here!

Me: Don’t worry! We’ll get there and if the jeep doesn’t cooperate, I’ll teleport us out!

Scott: Let’s hope it does cooperate then!

I smack her on the back of the head and stick my tongue out at her, then we concentrate on the engine.

Scott: Stiles, do you have any tools?

Stiles: Yeah!

They’re a roll of Scotch and I laugh. He’ll never change

Liam: Guys!

Me: Two minutes, Liam!

Scott: Stay in the car!

We try again to make the car work but it doesn’t. A bolt of lightning strikes the ground a few metres from us and I jump out of my skin with fear.

Me: That was close…

Stiles: Really close…

The car starts and Liam sticks his head out of the car.

Liam: Can we go now?

I smile and we get back in the car

Later on

We arrive in front of the lift because I’ve come to pick up Liam and Allison at the same time because she’s finally getting out!

Liam: My dad’s got hours of work ahead of him! I could… Come with you while he finishes work?

Scott blows his nose and turns to his beta

Scott: Show me your hands

Liam bows his head and shows Scott his hands, the claw marks are gone but the b***d is still there.

Liam: Okay, I admit, I’m still having a little trouble…

Scott: No, you’re learning! What are you concentrating on to control yourself?

He blows out his headphones

Liam: But… I’m afraid that’s not enough!

Scott: It’s more than enough, Derek even told me you were very strong for your age.

Me: And coming from him, that’s no mean feat!

Liam smiles and nods. The lift opens its doors

Scott: Your apprenticeship may not be over yet, but don’t forget one thing…

Liam: Am I strong?

Scott: You certainly are!

The door closes

Me: You’re a good alfa Scott

Scott: Thank you

We smile at each other and I hold him against me. I don’t know what I’d do if he wasn’t here. The doors open and Stiles is in front of us.

Stiles: Any word from Kira?

Scott: No, I can’t reach her. And I only got one text from her on her trip to New York.

Stiles: Only one?

Me: Well, I’m going! I’m going to look for Allison!

Scott: Okay, see you later!

Stiles, come give me a k**s!

Stiles: See you in a bit!

I smile at him and walk towards Allison’s room while he continues their conversation but he calls me and I go back to join them.

Me: Yes?

Stiles: What does it mean to you if I say before your trip, “have a good time”?

Me: I’m allowed to sleep with other guys, no problem. Why?

Scott makes a horrified face and races towards the exit and I turn to my boyfriend.

Me: What did I say?

He smiles and k****s me
