Molly was on the verge of tears, swearing she'd never been through anything like this before. Yet Coleen remembered clearly that the two of them had definitely crossed that line.

Before long, Chad stepped out, cool as a cucumber, without a hint of panic. He walked over to Molly, wrapping his arm around her waist in a natural, affectionate gesture aimed at Coleen. "Mom, you're still up?" Coleen glanced at them, offering a casual piece of advice before she left. "Try to get some sleep; you both looked exhausted last night."

Leaving the newlyweds standing there in their matching red pajamas.

Feeling the warmth from Chad's palm through the thin fabric of her silk pajamas, Molly's heartbeat quickened. "Uh, Chad, I need to use the bathroom."

"Let's head back; our room has one too," Chad said, guiding Molly back to their bedroom.

Molly dilly-dallied to the bathroom, and by the time she came out, Chad was already in bed, seemingly dozing off.

Molly approached the bed, lifting the covers to slide in.

Back to the beginning, where each movement Molly made was cautious and tentative.

"Molly, I'm heading off to sleep. You should too," Chad murmured.

Molly simply responded with an "Okay," too nervous to make any further movements. Neither of them brought up the earlier awkwardness of Chad attempting to untie her sash or Molly's panicked dash out of the room. Eventually, when the sound of light snoring filled the room, Molly dared to shift slightly, whispering to the "sleeping" man, "Huh, does Chad snore?"

The pretend sleeper: "..."

The snoring ceased shortly after.

Once Chad was asleep, Molly felt a sense of freedom. She lay back, pouting as she stared at the red canopy above, her once sparkling diamond ring replaced by a more modest band, now on her ring finger. "Why hasn't Mia replied to my message?" Molly checked her phone again.

Eventually, she reluctantly messaged Anya, "Are you asleep?"

Anya quickly replied with a voice message, "Auntie, I absolutely loved the wedding favor you gave me."

Hearing Anya's cheerful voice, Molly put her phone down, without much to chat about with a girl who didn't even have a love interest.

After a restless afternoon nap, Molly finally fell asleep deep into the night.

The next morning, Chad woke up first, his internal clock ticking. The first thing he did was check on Molly.

The curtains had been left open, letting the bright sunlight spill over the red bedding, making it look even more vibrant.

Molly, usually a heavy sleeper, woke up as Chad was getting up, signaling she still wasn't fully settled in.

Rubbing her eyes, Molly squinted at the sunlight hitting her dark hair. "Tired? I can close the curtains for you to sleep some more?" Chad's pajamas were still in place, unlike Molly's, which had twisted during the night. "I'm not sleepy anymore."

Molly remembered her father's advice from the previous day, "You and your dad, both heavy sleepers. Don't oversleep on your first day as a new bride."

Though the Byrne family really didn't care what time she got up.

In the bathroom, they both had their own sinks, avoiding any conflicts.

While brushing her teeth, Molly admired her reflection, even with a mouth full of foam. "The, uh, window...?"

"Finish brushing, then we'll talk," Chad suggested, used to guessing what Molly was trying to say, much like Henry.

After rinsing, Molly asked, "Bro, where did you get that heart-shaped balloon? Why didn't you tell me? I would've bought one too."

After Chad finished up and stepped out, he glanced at the red heart balloon. "You couldn't buy this with all the money in the world. I made it with our parents and grandparents." Molly's eyes sparkled. "Really?"

She ran out to admire the balloon, growing fonder of it by the second.

Molly snapped a photo and sent it to Mia, sharing her big red heart.

Soon after, Mia responded, "Good thing your nephew didn't see it, or he'd have burst it with one squeeze and then cried about it."

"Oh, the missing person returns."

Mia's reply was listless, "Newlywed waking up at this hour? That's unusual."

The two always managed to hit each other's sore spots, then skillfully navigated around them to replace new topics of conversation.

"How's my nephew?"

Mia sent a photo of the little one drinking milk, indirectly explaining why she was 'returning' at such an hour.

Exhausted, with her nephew crying for his mother at the door, refusing formula and flailing about, until finally calming down in his mother's arms. After feeding, Mia just cuddled him back to sleep.

Andre had left early for a small gathering with friends after yesterday's busy day.

The sisters chatted briefly before Chad changed, and Molly went to her closet.

When they came downstairs together, Coleen was surprised to see her daughter up. "Thought you'd sleep till noon."

Molly replied, "I'll have some breakfast then go back to sleep."

After breakfast, the family of six sat in the living room, with Chad deliberately staying close to Molly.

Mr. & Mrs. Byrne seemed to understand the situation without saying anything.

Chad, who rarely took time off, was granted leave for his honeymoon, insisting he spend it with Molly.

However, Molly didn't seem to enjoy this kind of company, even trying to avoid sitting with Chad, feeling uneasy.

That was until Coleen mentioned, "Now that you're married, maybe it's time to-"

Before she could finish suggesting a return to work, Molly quickly linked arms with Chad, declaring, "Time for our honeymoon."

Coleen was left speechless as Molly preempted her. "Mom, can you transfer us a hundred thousand or so? We're not going abroad, just a little trip for our honeymoon."

Coleen retorted, "Honeymoon? Does your brother even have time? With just a few days off and needing to be on call, where could you possibly go?"

Molly dramatically accused her mother, "Coleen, is this how you treat your new daughter-in-law? When I was your darling girl, asking for a few grand was no big deal, you wouldn't even blink. And now, what? We're starting to have mother-in-law and daughter-in-law issues? You won't let me go on a honeymoon, so I'm not going to work at the office."

The real point was her not wanting to work.

Coleen pointed towards her daughter, looking exasperatedly at her husband. "Look at your daughter, driving me up the wall. Why did we even bring her back from the Cedillos, huh?"

Kendrick burst into hearty laughter, soon joined by Chad.
