Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance -
Chapter 715
Gazing at her reflection in the mirror, Molly's mind wandered to her great-nephew. "I wonder when Leo and Anya will finally tie the knot. I can't wait to celebrate their wedding." "Probably soon," someone replied.
Not long after, Andre excused himself to the bathroom, and Mia said, "We'll catch up tomorrow," before ending the call.
Once off the phone, Andre mused, "Our son's at his grandparents'; time to give Dad a hard time tonight."
Mia couldn't quite figure out her son. If you said he had a temper, you could argue he got it from her. If you said he was high-maintenance, well, that could be blamed on his father. The crying, the fuss, the peculiar temperament-she really didn't know where it all came from. The Byrne family.
After finishing her skincare routine, Molly stepped into her walk-in closet and pulled out an evening gown.
"Why are you wearing a gown now? Leo and Anya aren't even married yet," Officer Chad asked.
"Leo and Anya may not be married, but a business partner's daughter is getting hitched. Mom asked me to go with her. I think I've gained some weight, so I need to see f the gown still fits. If not, it's diet time," Molly replied.
She held the gown up in front of the mirror and casually tied her hair up, beginning to undress from her pajamas.
Chad, who had been reading in bed, saw a glimpse of allure from the walk-in closet and set his book aside, getting out of bed to approach.
"Hey Chad, you're just in time. Can you help me with the zipper?" Molly asked, looking at him in the mirror.
With her hair swept to one side, revealing her smooth back, Chad reached over, grasping the zipper and pulling it up for her.
Molly examined her reflection, feeling the fit of the gown. "The waist is tighter, and the bust feels snug."
Satisfied with the overall look, she said, "Chad, can you unzip me, please?"
As Chad unzipped her, Molly was about to change back into her pajamas when Chad took her hand. "Don't bother dressing; we'll have to undress again anyway."
Before Molly could react, she found herself embraced in his arms. "Chad, wait... Chad."
As they lay in bed, Molly's breathing quickened, and she playfully threatened, "You really think I won't go back to my parents' house tomorrow and stay there...?"
The night deepened, and the darkened room was filled with intermittent gasps and hurried breaths, adding to the intense atmosphere. The curtains swayed with the breeze, and the scent of the woman's sweat filled the air. Later, Molly gasped, teasingly scolding him, "Chad, is this your idea of a workout every day?"
Officer Chad, breathing heavily, responded, "This is only part of it."
Molly decided then she'd return to her parents' house and not come back.
Mia, too, thought about going back to her parents'. She regretted sending her son away; it might have seemed a good idea at the time, but now her husband was too pleased with the arrangement.
Her attempts at resistance were futile; her hands pinned above her head, every breath felt stolen. "Honey, please, bring our son back. I miss him."
Andre, looking down at her, wasn't about to bring back the "distraction" they had just managed to send away.
"Mia, a tiger doesn't negotiate when it's not satisfied." And even if it was, it depended on the mood.
Mia's protests were in vain as she was compelled to submit.
She preferred having their son around; even if her husband desired her, he wouldn't dare go too far, ensuring their intimacy was more comfortable and harmonious. With their son gone, she felt like her husband wouldn't be satisfied until he had his way completely. Biting her lip, her face flushed, Mia made up her mind: she would return to her parents' house and refuse to come back.
...
It wasn't until the late hours that everyone finally settled into sleep. Mia was so exhausted she didn't bother dressing, falling asleep as she was.
Molly, in bed, had drawn a metaphorical "demilitarized zone" between them, but her poor sleeping posture soon had her crossing the line.
Only Leo, atop the hill, gazed into the sky, his eyes devoid of any signs of fatigue.
Beside him, Anya slept. Wanting to turn over but replaceing it uncomfortable, she decided against it and remained in one position.
There were a few beers in the car, and Leo considered having one but ultimately decided against it.
"Anya?"
"Mhm~"
Leo turned to look at the sleeping girl and smiled.
As dawn approached, Anya woke to replace Leo missing. Confused, she sat up. "Chad?"
Stepping out of the car, she opened the door and shouted, "Chad?"
Just as she was about to call him, Leo appeared, his face wet with water droplets. "There's a camper van site nearby with facilities. I didn't wake you since you were sleeping."
Relieved, Anya followed Leo to freshen up. The sticky feeling from the previous night's drink made her mouth uncomfortably sticky, prompting her to rinse thoroughly.
"Chad, look, there's a camper van over there," Anya said, pointing excitedly, her face also dotted with water droplets. Leo handed her a tissue. "Want to go check it out?" She nodded.
As they approached, they saw a middle-aged couple and their dog already cooking breakfast.
Noticing the young couple, the pair grew curious. "Were you guys camping on the hilltop last night too?"
Leo replied, "Yeah, we got up late and decided not to go back down."
Anya, wanting to pet the dog, was startled by its barks and backed off.
"Ma'am, may I take a look inside your camper van? I've never seen one before," Anya asked, intrigued.
"Of course, you're welcome to," the woman replied, leading Anya on a tour.
Outside, Leo chatted with the man handling the cooking. "Uncle, you don't sound like you're from around here."
"We're from another city. We retired this year. After working hard all our lives, we felt we owed it to ourselves to see the world. So, we bought this camper van and decided to travel. We just arrived here yesterday," the man explained, seasoning the food. "You haven't had breakfast yet, have you? Why don't you stay and eat with us?"
Leo politely declined, "The girl in the car has a class soon, and I need to get to work. We don't have the time, but thank you for the offer."
Continuing the conversation, Leo mused, "When I'm older, after working hard my whole life, I'll buy a camper van too and travel around with my little..." He paused, then corrected, "with my wife."
Anya looked around the RV with excitement and said to Leo, "Chad, it really has everything. You can even take a shower in the bathroom, and it has tables and chairs that can be converted into a bed. It's truly amazing. I want one too."
Leo replied, "I'll get you one when we're older."
The man standing nearby added, "The scenery, you should enjoy it while you're young. Seeing the world when you're young is a life well-lived, while in old age, it's about settling regrets."
Leo just smiled and didn't say anything.
After a brief interaction, without exchanging names, they only shared a few words. They were just passersby in each other's lives, a fleeting connection in the vast sea of people, likely never to meet again.
