Maplewood Estates.

For the first time since their son was born, Mia and Andre found themselves without him. Mia had hoped to finally get some uninterrupted study time, but instead, she found herself lying on the couch, barely touching her lunch, feeling listless and downhearted. The house was eerily quiet, a stark contrast to when their son's laughter and cries filled every corner, making the home feel alive and bustling. Now, with their son staying at the Cedillo family's house, the couple felt out of place in their own home.

It hadn't even been 24 hours since Andre had dropped off their son, and he was already on the phone with his father, checking in on the little one.

Mia, unable to focus on her book, slumped on the sofa. "Honey, I miss our son."

Andre missed him too, but he tried to put on a tough front. "All he did was cry; what's there to miss? You'll stop missing him by tomorrow. It's just the first day; you're not used to it yet."

Mia looked at her husband. "Let's not kid ourselves. You've called your dad eight times in less than 24 hours, and you say you don't miss him?"

Andre replied, "I'll stop missing him by tomorrow."

The next day, Mia still felt an emptiness. "Honey, I think I love our son more than I love you."

Andre sighed. "You really didn't have to say that."

Mia, who had recently stopped breastfeeding, was in so much pain that she could hardly eat. While Andre was out driving to get medicine for Mia, he couldn't help but think of their son as he navigated through the brightly lit city.

Returning home with the medicine, he suggested, "Mia, it's dark now. Henry's probably asleep. How about we go see him?"

Mia eagerly nodded, having been wanting to do just that. She had seen a video in the family group chat showing their son with tear-stained lashes, and it broke her heart.

In the middle of the night, Andre drove Mia back to the Cedillo family's house. In the living room, Chad was holding Henry, gently patting his back to help him sleep, while Molly remarked, "Chad, you're so good at this. We couldn't calm him down, but you managed to." When the sound of a car was heard in the driveway, everyone looked over. Soon after, the couple quietly entered the living room. "Is he asleep?" they whispered.

Hansen gestured towards the child in Chad's arms. "Just fell asleep."

As Mia bent down to pick up their son, Andre, knowing his wife was in pain from weaning, took the baby himself. Henry, lying in his father's arms, mumbled in his sleep, "Papa," and continued dreaming. In that moment, Andre's heart melted.

The family had been counting the number of times Henry cried, but Andre was more interested in watching the doorway. Hansen said, "Don't underestimate the little guy; he knows his parents. He was holding a picture of you two all night." The more she heard, the harder it was for Mia to leave.

As they were about to put him back to bed and leave, Henry sensed it and woke up. Seeing his father, he immediately started crying again, holding on tight and looking for his mother.

Molly, moved by the sight of the family struggling to part, said, "Even those without children can't stand it. How could Mia bear it?"

Unable to harden their hearts, the parents decided, "Don't cry, buddy. How about we take you home?"

Two days and nights away from his parents, Henry was finally taken back home by his father. At ten o'clock, they brought Henry back.

Opening the window, Mia helped her son wave goodbye. "Say bye to Grandpa and Uncle Naomi, can you do that?"

Mia guided her son's little hand in a wave. Henry, holding onto the window with one hand and waving with the other, then turned around and hugged Mia's neck tightly, refusing to let go.

Mia said, "Dad, big brother Naomi, you all go back. You haven't had a moment's peace because of the crying these past few days."

Hansen was surprised. "Taking him now? I thought it was for a week. It's only been two days."

Mia explained, "We're going to try weaning him at home. I've seen other moms do it successfully. I'll learn from them."

On their way home, Mia remarked, "Honey, we're too soft."

Andre replied, "It's because we have a weak spot now."

Henry was indeed their weak spot.

Once home, Henry had to sleep with his mom because he had gotten smart. Whenever he got hungry at night, he would seek out his mom. Andre started sleeping in the middle to keep them apart.

That night, the family of three finally had a good night's sleep. The previous two nights without their child, Mia couldn't sleep well, her pain keeping her awake. Andre, seeing her struggle and missing their son, wished he could take all their pain onto himself. After Henry was taken back, the Cedillo family was quiet for a day, but soon they all missed the little bundle of joy. "If we had known, we wouldn't have let Mia leave. She could have just stayed with us." Naomi agreed, "Yeah."

With no joy in the Cedillo family, Jade packed her bags and eagerly returned to the Byrne family.

Coleen joked, "Chad's not hitting you anymore?"

Molly nonchalantly replied, "He's taught me a lesson. He won't hit me again."

"Knowing your personality, even if you didn't marry Chad now, he'd probably end up with you anyway," Coleen said.

Molly was puzzled. "What about me?"

"It's said you wouldn't replace anyone else but your brother to take care of you."

"Mum, every character is shaped by those around them. If not for the excellent genes from my parents, your and dad's direct teachings, and Chad's decades of manipulation, would today's Molly exist?"

In the end, it was still everyone else's fault, according to Coleen. "I can't argue with you, okay? Hurry off to work."

Molly mumbled, "Can't win an argument but still wants to argue. If it weren't for you being my mum..."

"What are you mumbling about now?"

"Ah, off to work, boss Anya, stop nagging me."

Molly left.

Anya hadn't gone to see Leo for several days. She didn't answer his calls or reply to his messages.

After another job interview, Leo saw an ice cream vendor on the street and decided to buy a Häagen-Dazs ice cream for Anya. He texted her, "Bought you a Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Where are you? I'll bring it over." The message once again went unanswered.

Leo watched as Mia posted a video of Henry in the family group chat, with Anya occasionally chiming in with a reply, but never responding directly to his messages.

"Why is she holding such a grudge? I never realized Anya had such a temper before."

Eventually, Leo called Mia, cutting straight to the chase without any small talk. "How's Henry doing with weaning? How are you holding up? And can you ask Anya how she is for me?"

Mia replied, "He's fine. I'm fine. At the school library."

"Thanks."
