Mother and daughter had their moments of squabbles, one second they were bickering, the next, all was well. It wasn't long before Coleen joined her daughter at the dining table for breakfast, casually adjusting her daughter's pajama top. Molly straightened up and

tightened her robe, sensing her mother's actions.

"Have they landed yet?" Molly asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Not yet," Coleen replied while checking her phone. "They should by noon. I just checked the time over there; it will be midnight when their plane touches down."

On the plane, little Henry had finally made peace with flying.

During meals, his tiny hands reached out for everything. He wouldn't drink his formula, but for some reason, he found the bottled water his dad was drinking irresistibly appealing, insisting on taking a sip as if it were some rare treat.

As his mom binge-watched her favorite series, munching on some unknown brand of cookies, Henry couldn't understand the show, but he was fascinated by his mom's constant chewing.

Andre, holding his son, would stand up and walk around from time to time to soothe him.

Several passengers were charmed by the cute little member of the Andre family, each asking for a chance to hold him. But the moment strangers approached, Henry would start crying even before anyone could pick him up. Outside the window, the sky wasn't as beautiful as the day before. Henry pressed his face against the window glass, playfully sticking out his tongue to lick it.

Mia immediately scooped him into her arms, "You little rascal."

"Aah-"

At around midnight in a foreign land, the family of three finally landed. As soon as Mia turned on her phone, it rang incessantly. "Hello, Mom and Dad, don't worry, we've landed and are making our way to the exit now."

Mia couldn't make out what Aaron Madison was saying on the other end but smiled at her husband's back, "Dad, you worry about me traveling abroad, but you should trust your son-in-law. If I'm unreliable, you can count on him, right? He's the one carrying the child, so don't worry. Henry is too busy being curious about the foreigners to talk to you right now."

After hanging up with her parents, she quickly dialed another number. "Hello, Naomi, we've just left the airport. My son's a little too occupied to talk right now, being the curious little explorer that he is. Tell Dad not to worry, I might lose my way, but I won't lose his grandson.'

Before she could hang up, Mia switched callers. "Naomi, hold on, Molly's calling."

Connecting with her sister, Mia didn't wait for her to speak. "We've just landed, heading to the hotel, the kid's busy."

Molly didn't bother with questions and hung up.

It was only after all the calls that Anya's video call came through. "Auntie, no one's snatched the baby from you, right? Chad said our calls would never get through against the family, so he told me to wait five minutes before making a video call."

Mia pointed the camera at her son's face. "Here, say hi to your Aunt Anya."

Leo was also there.

At the airport entrance, Andre appeared, greeted immediately. "Good to see you, sir."

He let go of his suitcase, and soon, Mia joined him. Andre, being the gentleman, opened the car door for his wife, while the welcoming committee stood by, announcing in unison, "Welcome, ma'am."

Mia observed the reception and quipped, "Why do I suddenly feel like I've aged?"

After the video call, they headed straight to the hotel.

Henry, perched on his father's lap by the window, gazed at the unfamiliar streets.

To his left was the child's curiosity; to his right, his mother's.

Mia, nearly recording the entire journey on her phone, could barely see in the dark. Yet, thinking of her brother living alone in this country for years stirred a familiar feeling in her. Despite the unfamiliar buildings and faces, Mia's heart ached for her brother. At the tender age of fifteen or sixteen, having to study abroad alone, he must have missed their home and family terribly.

The son marveled at a new world, while Mia pondered over the places her brother might have frequented.

Neither disturbed the other.

Upon reaching the hotel, Mia, carrying her son, and Andre, fetching the room key, headed straight to the elevator.

In the spacious suite, Mia handed her son to her husband and flopped onto the bed. "Ah, this is comfort. I can finally roll around and sleep."

After everyone had freshened up, Andre inquired, "Do you have Cooper's class schedule?"

"No clue. I asked Cooper for it once, but he said I wouldn't understand it anyway, so he didn't give it to me," Mia said, feeling a bit snubbed by her younger brother.

Holding her cuddly son, Mia video-called her brother in the middle of the night.

Half asleep, Cooper saw the caller ID and was instantly irritated. Upon answering, he grumbled, "What's with shoving your phone in my face late at night? Trying to give me nightmares?"

Mia turned the camera towards her son.

Cooper's demeanor changed instantly. "My nephew! Hey, why aren't you napping?"

Henry's face filled the screen.

Mia chimed in, "Remember this face, remember your nephew. It's been months; don't forget what he looks like."

Cooper retorted, "Even if I forget, you won't let me forget my nephew."

Mia casually asked, "What classes do you have tomorrow, and when do you get out?"

"Why?"

"Just wondering," Mia teased. "Let's set a time for you to video chat with your nephew."

Leo quickly suggested a time. "I've got a lab class tomorrow morning, ends at ten. How about we video chat at ten-thirty? That way, you won't have to stay up late."

Securing the time, Mia allowed the uncle and nephew to exchange a few more affections before ending the call.

Snuggling with her little one, Mia went straight to sleep.

Cooper, too, wrapped himself back in his blanket.

The next day, around ten, the family of three made their way to Cooper's university.

Mia carried her son, taking a photo at the university entrance before they strolled around the campus, looking for the laboratory where Cooper was.

Cooper emerged from a building, coffee in hand, conversing in multiple languages with a group. Having been nurtured by his parents from a young age, Cooper was acknowledged by Andre as a little scholar. Though not fluent in eight languages, he mastered four and occasionally picked up a new one when he found the time.

"Justin, Sadie, I can't join you at the debate club today; I've promised my sister a video call. I stayed up last night to finish our group's project proposal in the form of a paper and shared it in our group chat. If anyone has questions, we can meet this afternoon at our usual spot to make corrections," Cooper said, his demeanor always serious and persuasive when he was out and about.

Just a few steps away, Mia, holding her son, keenly spotted a group of college students walking by from the side.

"Honey, isn't that Cooper?"

With his distinct Eldorian features, Cooper stood out immediately among the foreign students.

Having stayed up late the night before, Cooper feared he might get sleepy, so he took another sip of his strong coffee. That sip, and the moment he looked up, Cooper was frozen in place!
